Los Burritos Mexican Grill

I stopped in Los Burritos for a little dinner and some shopping next door after work. I noticed they had a board with some specials that were new to the already large menu. The «Bandido» burrito which came with carne asada, a chile relleno, lettuce, and enchilada sauce all wrapped inside a large flour tortilla for $ 7.95.
The burrito was of above average size and tasted quite good. It came with a good amount of well seasoned and tender meat. The chile relleno inside was chopped up for easier eating which was smart. The chile relleno was good but on the small side. I would of like to have seen more of it and tasted more too. I really liked the enchilada sauce it was smooth and creamy, and most importantly, it had very good flavor, but they put way to much of it in the burrito.
When I handle the burrito, the sauce would could out of the burrito every way it could and it eventually softened up the flour tortilla, that it became a knife and fork event. Honestly, if they would of put at least half of the amount of sauce into the burrito, it would of been enough, because in the end, you could always ask for more on the side.
Service was good but I would recommend that they keep an eye on the salsa bar because it was hammered by the time I got there. Most of the salsas were empty and not refilled, and there was spillage all over the salsa cart.

I always order the wet Chile Verde Burrito. The meat is soft and the green chile is the perfect combination of hot, spicy and tangy.

Great place to eat homemade mexican food. Its a clean restaurant with good service. I have been coming here for 15 years always the same good food.

Best Mexican food in Chula Vista, taste fresh and homemade! very friendly staff and they make juice with fresh fruit and veggies. Affordable and priced reasonably, carnitas is out of this world delicious. Our new Mexican food spot!

I came in with my daughter and she was craving a wet burrito. So I order a wet burrito. And asked to cut it in half. When we received it I cut a piece with the fork blowing because they are hot. I started eating it and it tasted funny. Other than that cold. I asked the lady nicely to see if burritos are usually cold. And she gave me attitude saying only the sauce is cold. I am Mexican, I have ate wet burritos in different restaurants and this is the nastiest cold wet burrito I ever had.
And it’s their «specialty».

I was pretty disappointed with the huarache. It had very little beans if any, lechuga instead of cole, and it was mostly lechuga. Horchata was pretty tasty. Sorry, I won’t be back.

I had a huarache de Asada it was really good nice and crunchy. Haven’t had a good huarache in a while. I also had a strawberry banana shake it was ok. The cashier was the one that did it so it did not come with my food. She was to busy with other clients. So I did not get until have way trough my food. the place was nice and clean Precentable. Will defently come back again I found a good fast food Mexican food That taste good. And portions are very big.

1^st time visiting this taco shop. Ordered a fish taco and a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail was very well priced at $ 10.50. I was impressed with how much shrimp they put in the cocktail. It was packed with shrimp and had a great flavor .
This place was also very clean, and the girl working the cash register was very nice and attentive. I’ll definitely be coming back to try other items on their menu.

The customer service is not good at all and the food is unbelievably greasy. I ate here twice and both times my stomach was destroyed for days. I would only recommend this place if you really want a stomachache.

The place is impeccable, great food, tacos are superb, excellent customer service, I give it 5 star’s they deserve it !

Absolutely delicious! Big portions, I couldn’t finish it. Authentic food, awesome salsa bar. I like hot… sometimes you can’t get it… no problem here. They will even add jalapeños to your meal if you ask. Friendly staff and a nice clean place.

It’s good for the price. Full breakfast plate for around $ 7. Is it the best? No. Will it do in a pinch? Sure. I usually grab food from here on my way to work, sometimes a burrito or sometimes a plate. The fact that I keep coming back every so often means something, I guess.

I’ve been looking for a really good chicken mole, and I found one !! spicy ! Good presentation, good portions, T he place is nice and clean Nice décor comfortable tables and padded chairs, the staff is friendly and very fast service! They also have fruit smoothies and Fruit salads.

The food is delicious. I had the sopes they were very good. Its niece and clean. The servers were very nice. As well as the owner.

Real Mexican Sabor! Homemade, abuelita recipes authentic food, no gimmicks, if you’re looking to enjoy something good you know where to go, personally I would not go anywhere else GREAT FOOD!!!

One of the best Mexican restaurants in San Diego. All their food seems to be prepared fresh and to order. Their refried beans are some of the best I have ever had. An all female staff, very friendly. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food.

I Enioy the homemade taste of it. Some of the servers can and have been rude at times so Customer Service can and should definitely be improved but most are nice. I really enjoy Veronica’s service, very polite, knowledgeable about the menu and although she’s moving around, she always acknowledges you.
There is only one cook that is always friendly and she serves food well, Irma. That lady is always working hard and giving you a big smile! :)
Their green salsa is the bomb!!!

So it seems this place is willing to lose a customer over $ 1. I usually do not enjoy eating at this place since the food is subpar, clean restaurant but food quality is mediocre. The only reason I return to this place is because my wife likes to order their pozole. So I have been to this place before and order the carnitas quesadilla which comes with guacamole and pico de gallo… EVERYTIME. Tonight they forgot it and I politely reminded the cashier of the oversight and she said it does not come with guacamole and would need to add it for $ 1…thats after I paid my bill and also left $ 1 tip! Since I paid with my card and did not have cash I asked if I can pay with my card and they mentioned I have to buy something for $ 5!
I have had instances with this place nickel and diming for every single thing you ask for. Such as salsa! I understand businesses need to make money but for repeat customers it’s about keeping you coming back and word of mouth to bring new customers. Needless to say that my relationship with this business has ended because the $ 1 is more important than keeping me coming back. If you come here be prepared to have a mediocre experience along with the food being edible.

There’s lots of good mexican restaurants around. What I enjoyed about this one.
Very clean restaurant, nice decorum and the San Diego burrito was delicious. The music was just right and the salsa was great. I’ll come here again.

Caldo de Res! Esta re-​bueno este pinche caldo. La carne esta blandita, la verdura fresca, y el caldo muy limpio con mucho sabor. No sirven el tuetano pero si lo usan para cocerlo. Tortillas de maíz estan bien. Rolled tacos are great, very meaty, flavorful, and crispy. Carne asada burrito has beans and is very good also. Caldo de res is the best I’ve had and I love to eat out. I would even dare to put it up against any other shop in Escondido or National City. the place is very clean and prices are reasonable. Menu is complete with pork, beef, chicken, seafood, nopales, chicharrones, you name it. They also serve Smoothies (licuados), and Mexican fruit salads, as well as tortas and breakfast. You will not be disapointed.

Pollo asado burrito was very fresh and tasty. I ordered mine without beans and it was still big with a lot of chicken.
Their small salsa bar is good. I especially liked the guacamole salsa.
The carne asada burrito was tasty. Not your typical carne asada burrito … It included beans. The meat was tender and flavorful.
The beef taco was crispy with plenty of meat and the white cheese was a nice surprise.
Not your typical taco shop… You order at the counter, but the food is delivered and the table us bussed when you’re done.
Staff was very friendly and helpful with answers to questions.
