HORRIBLE!!! And over priced!!! Unilocal really should have a zero rating!!! First and last time I will ever get food this place!!! Not only was this place unreasonably expensive but I found a roach on my food!!! Not cool! Opened the box getting ready to eat when I saw something crawling on my burrito, it was a baby roach!!! Guess the whole family couldn’t come along!!! Disgusting and very disappointing!

the food is ok but it’s too expensive for what they are asking and charge an extra .50 if u use a card… so now I drive up the street to get the same burrito which is cheaper and they don’t charge me .50 cents to use my card

Would give 0 stars if I could. I pulled and waited 10 minutes for someone to ask my order, and when I pulled up to pay, I understood. The girl at the drive– thru was new and I don’t blame her for this review. This review is for the lady to be helping her. She did not run my card right and asked if I had $ 1.75 in cash on me, I did not. Her reply was«When you come back, pay me the $ 1.75 you owe me.» I laughed because I thought it was a joke, it was not. Then the trainee asked me if I wanted my receipt, and I said yes. Something happened with the machine and the receipt would not produce it. She asked the lady helping her to help me get my receipt, she said«I don’t know.» I felt bad it wasn’t her fault, but the old lady working their has horrible customer service. I must say the young lady who works there is very kind though.

I’ve been here a few times. The food is ok for inexpensive, drive thru, Mexican food, but the service is where they’re really lacking. The person taking the orders was really rude and seemed in a rush to get us off and on our way. There is a difference between being rude and being efficient and trying to do the most with your time. Their salsa verde is pretty good though, so if you do go, make sure and ask for extra salsa!

i would give this taco shop a negative zero but just 1 star is the least these people have no good moods there always pissed they raised the price and cut down on the food also put a sign up saying they will raise the meat price lmao NEVERGOHERE. and if you do you will leave with 2 salsas as if they are sooo much money to make fucking tomatoes, onion and chile lol but hey they can keep it one time the sauce was even over do because they love to hold on to it lol

The food is okay. THEYARESOSTINGYWITHTHEIRHOTSAUCE. It’s ridiculous… I bought food for up to 10 people I asked for a lot of hot sauce the girl gives me four… And then slams the window on me and I’m trying to get more… So I end up walking to the front to get more and she gives me 3… Too stingy. Hate that. She had a mad face on too…

Asada is bomb but their rolled tacos are wack. Yeah, I said it-wack. I’m tired of these taco shops with these one-string-of-meat-down-the-middle rolled tacos! 3 layers of rolled tortilla… not cool! Anyway, the little one loves their asada fries and quesadilla and I’m intrigued by the fish rolled tacos so I’ll be going back for that and to try other stuff like shredded beef taco, pollo asado anything and more… maybe redemption for those wack rolled tacos is in their future.

Tried a lot of taco shops since I moved into the area. Maybe not the greatest taco shop in all of San Diego, but easily the best in a 10 block radius!(who wants to drive forever when you need a burrito anyway?!?) They have a drive-thru if you want to go barefoot and in PJs, or a walk-up window to order from with benches for outdoor seating. Meat and other ingredients are of good quality. Tried Carne Asade fries and chips(I’d recommend the fries over the chips), as well as several at least 5 different styles of burritos. Since their fries are nice, the Cali Burrito is a good choice if you can’t decide. Great sized burritos for the price, good distribution of ingredients within as well. An order of carne asada fries/chip[s is also large enough to share. Service is very friendly. Always with a smile, pleases and thank yous. They always remember to ask me what kind of salsa I’d like with my order without fail, and are generous with the number of them they give. Highly recommended as my personal go-to taco shop in the area.

Now that we’ve moved a little further south, we needed to find a good go-to Mexican joint. As we drove around National City we noticed an all too familiar red and yellow themed building on Palm Ave so we decided to give it a try. So far we’ve tried the San Diego staples: California burrito, bean and cheese, and carne asada fries and carne asada chips. The carne asada fries are probably one of the best we’ve had around, a good amount of toppings that were evenly dispersed(I hate when you’ve got gauc on one side, and sour cream on the other!) also, the fries were perfectly crispy! I figured since the carne asada fries were good then the chips would be good too. this we wouldn’t order again, the chips were too greasy. As far as the cali burrito and the bean and cheese, both were good, the beans were fresh and the cheese was melted and the tortilla that they use is not that greasy type of tortilla either. Anyway, I know we’ve got COUNTLESS of taco shop options in National City, but I’m happy to say this place is the place. Too bad they don’t have late night hours, not that it matters anyway since we’re hardly up past 11 nowadays. They have really good daily specials that I’ve been meaning to try. Also, the workers there are always super nice and happy to see you, not like the people at Super Sergios. those workers are cranky. Plus Super Sergios sucks.

Just love this taco shop. They took over the prior taco shop Los Rancheritos… GLADTHEYDID! I prefer even coming here instead of Roberto’s…The hubby and I are always coming to this place. It’s just down the street from our house. The carne asada here is BOMB. Menudo is yummy(just missing hominy). The fish taco and shrimp tacos are really good. We also LOVE the breakfast burrito’s. They have all the great taco shop food… Love the staff. Such great people. Very friendly and I’ve always been treated like family(must be because I come here so much). Never had a bad experience. =) Can’t say enough about this place. That’s why we keep coming back!!!
