I think the only thing I can really say is that it tasted like food court Chinese to me. I ordered through Eat24 and it was here in a timely manner. The delivery guy was polite. I had General Gao’s and crab rangoon. The General Gao’s dinner came with your choice of rice(fried) and an appetizer(one beef teriyaki). As I said, the only real description I have for the General Gao’s is mall food court. The sauce wasn’t very flavorful, though the chicken was nicely crispy. The fried rice is the pale kind, not the brown kind. The beef teriyaki had little flavor and, while cooked through, not cooked long enough — if you like beef teriyaki, you’ll understand what I mean. The crab rangoon were better than food court, which is the biggest reason this review gets 3 stars instead of 2. Not my favorite dough(a little flaky and sweeter than I like) but the filling was good. You can see the crab, though I didn’t taste much of it over the cream cheese. I was a little surprised at the cost of the food, since it seemed to be $ 1 – 2 more than the other local places, and I don’t know that it was worth it, though there was a lot of chicken in the General Gao’s. Probably won’t order again since I think there are better places that deliver, but it’s not so bad that I’d never ever order again. If everything else was closed, this would be OK.

I ordered take out from this place over the weekend. I am not from the area and just went on a reco from my brother, who is a local. We ordered through the Unilocal app and the food came pretty quickly. We didn’t have to wait very long at all for the food. We ordered General Gao’s, some kind of mixed vegetables in some kind of sauce and chicken fried rice. It was all pretty good. Nothing over the top awesome, but it was all pretty solid. Nothing was overly greasy or heavy. I like the General Gao a lot and the fried rice was pretty good, too. We were pleasantly surprised by the portions — they were huge. There was enough to feed 3 – 4 people easily on what we thought would be adequate for 2. I think you can do all right ordering from Mandarin Café if you are looking for some decent Chinese food in Natick.

We order from here regularly and have for many years. The food is excellent and fresh. The staff are always pleasant and can accommodate any request. Extra spicy, extra sauce… they are great. Even when we stray from our«go to» dishes we are not disappointed. Highly recommend!

We usually order here from work at lunch time about once a month and have it delivered. Yesterday I had some extra time so I stop in. There were about 6 people working inside and seemed to be getting ready for the lunch rush. The woman who took my order was very friendly and pleasant. As I sat there and waiting for my food just about each and everyone of the employees said hello and asked how I was. The food was your average Chinese/American food. The place could use a coat of paint but it’s not that much of an eat in spot so I guess that doesn’t matter as much. I gave this place 4 stars for the friendliness and the warm inviting staff. It’s not often that you going in to a Chinese food place that is mainly take out at the lunch rush that you see every employee smiling, that is what will definitely keep me as a customer

I ordered take out and knew I was in trouble when I brought the bag in the car. The food was fried in what seems to be old oil. I was really hungry, so I ate it, only to get ill a few minutes later. I don’t think the food was bad, just the oil. However, I won’t be back.

Have taken food out from here many times. Almost always excellent! …one bad experience out of a hundred or so. The food is fresh and well prepared. They will cook your order to your preferences. Reasonably priced, large portions, terrific value.

If you’re looking for good greasy Chinese food, don’t even eat here! Good greasy Chinese food should still taste good. I had the chicken fried rice, orange chicken, and lo mein. Everything was bad!

Ok. so here it goes! Had a craving for«Good» Chinese food after a long day of shopping for Furniture. I thought we will try a new place and may be find out a gem(I am always optimistic while trying out new places); boy was I wrong! Worst Chinese food that I have eaten in a long time and I eat Chinese quite often. We ordered fried rice(plain rice without flavor) with a chicken entrée(chicken in a brown flavorless sauce) and I am unable to describe what is tasted like. I should have known: I ordered take-out and the food was ready in like 2 minutes! Try at your own risk!

This Chinese food is fine. That’s the best I can say for it. Not classy, not great, not wow. Ordered takeout for myself and fiancé, and while the portions were large, the food wasn’t really what I was hoping for. Scallion pancakes were light, and flavorful, but over cooked and too hard. Orange Flavor Chicken was not nearly as spicy as it should have been, and rather over fried as well. Shredded Pork with Green Peppers and Onions was tasty, but not worth the price. Overall, I feel I’ll be searching for another Chinese takeout spot.

Ordered chicken with peanuts, was suppose to be spicy, only spice I tasted was the pepper I put on it because it had no flavor to it.

We’ve never been disappointed with the food. Love the fact they deliver. Tons of gluten free options for those in need… However, delivery time is spotty. Can be extremely quick or you can wait twice as long as they estimate.

Absolutely the best takeout around. Add to that it’s menu is mostly gluten free since they use chestnut flour for most of their coated items. Large portions at a good price.

1. I’ve never set foot inside this restaurant 2. The only person we’ve talked to here is the guy who drops off the delivery 3. They do online ordering and have delivery. 4. Nuff said… What we order: — Egg rolls — lo mein — scallion pancakes — fried rice — DUNDUNNOODLES! These are freaking tasty — they are not spicy, but if you add a little chili pepper to your taste they are amazing and my new addiction. #Customer4Eva

We recently moved to Natick about 2 years ago, and Mandarin Café is one of the best chinese takeout in the area. I had never had a bad experiences or bad foods from them. Their combination menu is probably the best bang for the buck if you are looking to fill yourself up. After the first few pickup, the lady behind the counter even know my name everytime I come by. A+ for foods and customer services!

This place should be called«brown sauce café» everything’s slathered in a viscous brown sauce that just tastes salty. Not a repeat.

Lightning fast delivery and decent food. Huge Portions Got lunch delivery to work from this place and will likely go again. It was at our door in less than 20 minutes and that’s perfect for us. 5 stars for quickness. I had the Spicy Chicken w Peanuts Combination. I had requested it without Celery through the online ordering system. Came with tons of celery. 0 stars for not listening to me ;) The dish itself was good. Plenty of food and a decent taste. The accompanying Hot and Sour soup was a nice addition — very tasty. The chicken wings were good but could have used another 30 seconds being cooked. Coworker got the beef lomein and peking ravioli. He enjoyed it though thought the lo mein was a little on the salty side — I told him it was chinese food and if you didn’t have a headache then you’re doing it wrong! ;) kidding We will go back

Love this place! I recently smelled a coworkers lunch that had been delivered from Mandarin and asked him where the restaurant was located. About a day later, after a long few hours of fantasy football drafts, I ordered the honey bbq spareribs, fried rice and chicken fingers. It was all quite good, especially the honey bbq ribs DELISH! It was so good, I went again a few nights ago, this time trying the lo mein. It was perfect! This is definitely my new favorite place, so-so prices but wonderful quality! I will definitely be trying some of the dishes previous reviewers mentioned. Not a place to sit-in for meals but they do deliver which is wonderful.
