The furniture at Ethan Allen tends to be beautiful and expensive. My review is not about the furniture or the quality of it (as I own no Ethan Allen furniture). This is really a review on one specific employee at this location. Her name is Adele. Please look for her if you are thinking about Ethan Allen but want a salesperson who is helpful and low key – and as far from condescending or demanding as I’ve experienced.
I was recently in the market for a new couch. My budget was $ 2K at the absolute highest. I visited most Boston-​area stores for one: Jordan’s, Bernie and Phils, Boston Interiors, IKEA, Macy’s, Pottery Barn… the list goes on. I met many sales people along the way and Adele was the most impressive in her general affect and in her knowledge of what she sells.
I ended up buying, ironically, my couch at Crate and Barrel. Though their sales staff seemed snobby, a specific couch was the right fit at the right time. But I wish Adele could have gotten that commission. She gave me the time, patience, and instruction I needed to make a good decision.
