Yuck! Ordered two pizzas and a Greek salad for my family. WAYOVERPRICED at $ 53. First off, the salad had very little lettuce and TONS of those disgusting, cheap black olives from the can. Definitely NOT Greek and not a good sign regarding the quality of the food. The veggie pizza was bland and boring and the broccoli on it was scorched and burnt. The buffalo chicken pizza tasted very weird. Seriously, how do you screw up buffalo sauce?! Why is it so hard to find good pizza outside Boston? Sigh…

I used to love Comella’s veal parmigiana, but it’s just not what it used to be. All things must pass.

OK for a quick $ 5 pizza any night of the week, EXCEPTFRIDAY. On a friday, expect to wait a good 75 minutes for pie. The messes are delish if you are in a «i dont know what i want» mood. Chicken, pasta, eggplant, cheese… YUM.

Same great food as all the other locations. And I had very pleasant service over the phone and at the counter, both times with a female. Not sure what the rest of these people are on about. The messes are fantastic. A single is enough for two people.(As long as one of them isn’t me.) Overall the prices are really good; lots of value here.

Great little place to eat. Very clean, cozy, and friendly staff. I ordered the spinach raviolis and i could tell from the taste that they were real, not some pasta just thrown in the microwave like some places. Wish i didn’t live so far because I’d be there every weekend!

The food here is ok but the girls working here are really rude to the customers. Lolas is much better

OK pizza. Good value. But ran in to pick up a takeout order of 9 large pies for a sports team dinner and in the 3 minutes it took to run in and pick up the pizza — got a parking ticket right in front. It looked like the meter attendant was trolling up and down in front of the place. And the meter attendant was really rude. Yes, I know, should have fed the meter, just didn’t think of it… So folks, be sure to feed the meter in Natick Center, even if you’re just running in for 3 minutes! OR, choose to get your pizza at a place that has free parking.

Ok, so I love me some Comella’s. The food is seriously good. However, the girls working at the counter need to check themselves before they wreck themselves. Every time I go in there they are literally the rudest people I’ve ever seen working in the service industry. If they even acknowledge your presence after a full minute you’re lucky. I apologize if me picking up my food is an inconvenience to you, but Jesus. It’s an inconvenience for me to come down here and have to deal with you snotty people to pick up my food since you don’t have delivery! I even started adding a 20% tip on the bill in advance in hopes that they’ll be nice to me when I get there, but no. Nothing works with these girls! Also, could we do away with SCREAMING of orders across the restaurant for everyone to hear for those of us who order on chow now? I gave you my name already, you don’t need to give everyone the rundown of how many calories I will be shoving in my mouth in the days to come. I equate it to going to a doctors office and having the receptionist announce to the waiting room that you’ve got crabs. Not that that has ever happened to me(it happened to my friend), but I’m just saying…

The service is great. They definitely need to be more aware of staffing, the poor girl has the phones ringing off the hook, a line almost out the door and tabled filled. Food was sitting getting cold because one person can only do so much. Some food is great, chicken parm, meatballs, sauce. Pizza a good value, great for teens but for me it is way too bland. Shrimp Scampi is not worth it, way too spicy. Afredo sauce on the other hand way too bland. Prices ok.

Shrimp Scampi was very greasy and lacked flavor. Grilled chicken parmigiana also lacked flavor. Use of tenderloins instead of breasts in the chicken parm was also disappointing. Hopefully others have better luck! Maybe we’ll try the pizza next time.

Service is good, friendly staff, that being said of the pizza wasn’t $ 5 and some change for a large they would have been out of business the day after they opened. Some sandwiches are good but cost more than a large pizza. Pizza is close to bland and has nothing really special about it.

Raw meat balls is what my 3 year old was served. Disgusting. The store tried to offer me a free kids meal.

I went 5 stars on Comella’s but I don’t mean to say it’s 5 star food. It’s not. It’s 3 star food with a 1 star price and that earns you 5 stars in my book. You can get a large pizza for 5 bucks here! They’re friendly. It’s clean. Try it.

I think Comella’s has been slipping a bit lately. The pizza is still a great deal at 5 bucks but it seems to be getting ever so small bit by bit each time I go back. Yesterday, I got 2 subs and they were TINY. I haven’t had the mess in a while, but I think they are tasty yet overpriced. The food generally is pretty good but things just seem to be slipping a bit. Comella’s you need to stay on the ball or before you know it you will be gone. Oh and I had to get this in… you are lucky you are in Massachusetts where the pizza bar is only an inch off the ground. If you were in New York, you would have already gone out of business.

Absolutely disgusted. Do not order half a topping on each side of your pizza because they will charge you full price and then laugh at you when you ask if you are paying full price for half the amount of toppings, which they did say was the case, through their laughter. I’ll be going around the corner to Corrados or to Bills for my pizza from now on, regardless of the initial cost I still didn’t save any by getting it at Comella’s. It’s sad cause I have been coming here for years and really liked the place, but this will be my last time for quite a while. Atleast they should be up front when you order instead of waiting till the good is made and you are paying.

Pizza is always pretty standard, and the price for a cheese is fantastic. They always get really busy on the weekends and some week nights. My wait for one cheese pizza take out was 1 hour. So, make sure you order early. The ‘Mess’ is pretty good. I usually go for anything with veal in it, seafood tends to get over cooked.

Craving eggplant parm my tummy drove me here. Thank you Unilocalers for helpful tips! This is a small place and I can see why it is mostly take out. On the end of the corner of Main Street is this little place with just a few tables. It did give me that inviting feel to want to go back and eat there. The mess was just that. A mix of this and that which is hard to describe. Wanting the eggplant parm I ordered a side of the mess to go with it. For about $ 9 I got 3 meals out of it. Filling for sure. The eggplant parm reminded me of lasagna since it was layered. It was thick and delic and I was pleasantly happy with the side of mess. After placing my order and getting there in about 10 mins it was hot and ready to go. Now the dilemma is if I go back to try their pizza or getting seconds on the eggplant parm. Parking is hit or miss in downtown Natick but most of the parking is within walking distance with a meter.

Dear Comella’s, I wanted to like you. I gave you so many chances to impress me. I ordered different things every time I went. A mess one time, meatball sub the next, and an Italian sub the last time. Your siblings(the newton one especially) I enjoyed, but you… you fall short. The Mess: Poorly cooked pasta, skimped on the extras, and the sause was bland The meatball sub: Flavorless meat, same bland sauce, and soggy bread. And whoever made it just slopped it together carelessly, The italian sub: the flattest I have seen, skimped on the meat, way too small, looked like someone sat on it before you gave it to me(and kinda tasted like it too). Natick, unfortunately, is short on good lunch places. I thought Comella’s could fill that void a bit, but it is just another disappointment. I haven’t tried their $ 5 pizza, but I don’t want to give them more business. Maybe they will be gone soon and something decent may actually go there.

I’ve been to the location in Chestnut Hill several times, but this was my first stop at the Natick store. I ordered a meatball/sausage sub and a chicken parm. The meatball/sausage was very good, with plenty of meat. I thought the chicken parm was a little dry.(Note I did not eat 2 subs in one sitting, the chicken was my husband’s and he agreed it was a bit dry). Overall, they were pretty good and this place has GREAT prices. I haven’t ordered the famous $ 5 cheese pizza from here, but the one in CH Is good so I am sure I will eventually give it a try. Just a note, that this pizza isn’t my favorite, but it’s awesome for $ 5. However, once you start adding any toppings it quickly adds up and rivals prices of anywhere else. The $ 5 is the way to go

I came here to support a local business, and im sorry to say i will not be returning. I ordered the Grandpas Mess: The sauce tasted like it came out of a can, it was not fresh. The pasta was so overcooked i could swallow it without chewing, it was MUSHY. My family ate a few bites, threw it out and made something else for dinner. The food was overpriced, over cooked, and underwelming.
