Alway loud atmosphere. Hard to have a conversation here. Food and service are average. Don’t like the coffee. There are better options in the area.

Server was efficient and kind, egg sandwich was delish, coffee better than expected. The only reason I didn’t give it higher stars is the ambience is bizarre. I too would call this an odd little place. I don’t need fancy — give me a greasy spoon diner any day, but it’s just strange in here — 80s-ish décor and vibe. And not in a cool way. But would I come back? You bet. Good food trumps all.

I come for the eggs and cheese sandwich on English Muffin! Always made fresh with NO griddle grease! A VERY clean diner with everything fresh and made to order!

Worst breakfast ever!!! We have been before and it was good, but will never go back after today. We waited over 45 minutes for food, and when it came out it was inedible. Hash was burned on outside, raw on inside. English muffins NOT toasted, eggs cooked all wrong, and I only received 10 little home fries as my side. Actually a blessing because they were inedible as well. Service was also a nightmare. Apologies about the wait only after we complained. Once food finally delivered, no one came back to check on us! I had to get up and find the owner to tell her we could not eat the food. Very sad experience, because this used to be a nice restaurant. I don’t know what happened. Not a way to keep business.

food was still good but the service was so bad that I wont come back. we were 1 of three tables and our waitress was awful. once our waitress took our order she didnt come back until we were done. I drank my coffee before my food came, and it never got re-filled. my gf didnt even touch her omelet because she asked for no cheese. when it was clear she didnt eat it, the waitress said«do you want a box» i told her no and to take it off the bill. She didnt even ask why she just said ok and brought us the check.

Based on all the great reviews, we had to go there. Kind of wish we didn’t. It wasn’t horrible. The service was great but the food was just so so. And there were a lot of little annoying things. The toast came out without any butter on it. By the time I realized this, the all of our toast was cold enough so that butter wouldn’t melt on it. The breakfast description said there would be 3 pieces of bacon but there was only two. The syrup was«maple flavored» etc. I could go on, but like I said the service was great. I just won’t be going back.

When I think of brunch I rarely think stealth, but Central Street Café is as sneaky and wonderful as it gets. With no sign over the restaurant and only their hours posted on the door it would be easy to think that the café is closed or even abandoned. But if you’re lucky enough and curious enough to step through the doors then you are seriously in for a treat. The food: Central Street Café understands breakfast. They are egg manipulators, omelette scientists, architects of pancakes and french toast and pretty much everything they cook turns to food gold. Their specialty board at the front of the store boast some of their more creative breakfast omelettes like a Cuban omelette with pork ham pineapple and basil or their lemon and ginger omelette stuffed with chicken lemon ginger and other«oh my gosh did they just do that» ingredients. The portions are huge and the breakfast dish prices stay between 7 – 11 dollars including home fries and toast. The home fries are chunks of potatoes, the way nature intended them to be. The service: All the times I have visited I always get one of the two servers who seem to work their daily. They are very sweet, efficient with your order, and know the menu inside and out and are open to share their recommendations. Usually if you go before 10 am on a weekend you are bound to hit a crowd but the brunch/lunch hours on a weekday aren’t too bad, and sometimes you may be the only one in the restaurant. Also, as a true breakfast place your food comes in under 15 minutes pretty much consistently which is my favorite thing about food. Three reasons to go: — their banana french toast — any and all of their omelette specials — the prices and service.

Disappointed that they have milk ingredients in just about every dish including the homefries. Food was middle of the road diner food. Portions are large. Cash only. Will not be my first choice for future breakfast but also not my last.

I have to give 5STARS! It’s been a while since I’ve been compelled to give a 5, but I had their French toast a couple of days ago, and it’s the best i’ve ever eaten. I don’t think I can make better, and I’m a really good cook. I’ve been trading in the omelettes lately for«scrambles» instead. Same ingredients, just all mixed together. Highly recommend, though make sure to check for your cheese if you order it. Luiz(sp?) has probably bruised himself with the number of times he’s slapped his forehead for forgetting our cheese. Their home fries are still bad. Bummer when everything else is so great. Pablah(I finally learned how to spell her name), please please please figure out how to fix those potatoes. Try Yukon gold or russets, they have more starch. Kelly, the waitress, is wonderful. You’ll be surprised how busy this place gets considering Pablah doesn’t advertise and she has no sign on the front of the building. Don’t know where it is? It’s right next to the blue and gold Town Line liquor store sign on 135 between Natick and Wellesley. On the left if you’re heading east to Wellesley. Just don’t take my seat, please.
