This is now known as Mobe’s Restaurant. The menu has burgers, sandwiches, steaks, seafood, liver and onions, chicken fried steak and offers breakfast and lunch/dinner buffets. We were on the way to Dallas and needed a lunch break. This was the only non fast food restaurant at this exit, so we gave it a chance. Apparently this was a Shoney’s two weeks ago. For some reason I opted for the lunch buffet. I should know better. I am not a fan of buffets for good reason. This buffet was no different. The buffet offered pork chops, grilled fish, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, macaroni, vegetables, pork and beans and some pasta. The pork chops weren’t very good, but I was told both the baked fish and fried chicken were enjoyable. The mashed potatoes and macaroni were typical. Our server was very friendly and was the most enjoyable part of the visit. The food was cheap and our bill was under 20 bucks for two adult and a child buffet. If your in the mood for mass quantities of mediocre food, this may be a good place for you. If not, I suggest you try somewhere else.
