Classic salon in a great location with plenty of parking. Each stylist and shampoo tech is full of personality and experience. They have a great little boutique as well with cute, classy and couture accessories, accent pieces and an amazing makeup application area. They also house a spa and 3 nail technicians.

I appreciate this salon uses Schwarzkopf coloring. It’s honestly the best thing that’s ever happened to my hair. Katie was my stylist! She was wonderful. I will definitely return to her again if I can. She followed the color combination down to a T and replicated what I used to get in San Diego before I moved here. The salon was busy, but it seemed like any other normal salon. I liked the waterfalls on the walls; very Zen. The only thing I wished was different about my experience was how the charges me for a blow dry. I wasn’t aware that it cost $ 20, and I didn’t even get asked if I wanted one or not. I have to remember next time to opt out of a blow dry. It does make my hair look nice, but it isn’t worth $ 20… My last salon didn’t charge for a basic blow dry. Oh well.

I like that this place uses Schwarzkopf and Kerastase. I believe this Salon is good for people who have been going to their same stylist for years. However, I was not impressed with the place. Nothing about it seems luxury. The Salon was very packed, dirty(brushes had hair in, chair was full of hair), small stations were covered in stylist’s personal items, and the place was extremely loud. It was not relaxing. I noticed the stylists snacking at their chairs and constantly on their phones, complaining about their lunch delivery, etc. I was just really surprised by the atmosphere as the other reviews gave it a high ranking. I will say that I noticed a couple of the other stylists seemed more professional. When I made my appointment I told two different receptionists that my appointment would take a long time, that the stylist needed to have ample time to complete my service, explaining in detail what I wanted. When I showed up I found out that my stylist had been triple booked. Not a good start. Five minutes into my consultation the stylist interrupts me and says, «Ok, I am going to go mix so we can get started because I have other clients coming in.» I was so shocked. She didn’t even let me finish explaining what I wanted. The stylist rinsed my hair out far too early, leaving me with multiple levels of blonde: light on the earliest foils and darker on the last foils(about a level 10 to a level 7). Her application has left me with inconsistent color and spots. My hair did not resemble the picture I brought in for reference at all. After she washed out the lightener, I tried to help her formulate a color to tone with and got yelled at. I was told that I was not the stylist today. At this point, I was not about to ask her to fix it, I didn’t like what she did the first time I was not going to trust her again; on top of which I was not listened to. I am so embarrassed that this color is on my head. My stylist and another stylist who helped were not very professional. They used profanity, made drug references, spoke poorly of previous clients being way too sensitive, etc. One of the clients of my stylist that had been booked the same appointment time as mine waited patiently for quite some time then decided to reschedule. Needless to say I will not be back. I have made an appointment at a different salon to fix my hair. My advice: only go to this salon if you already know the stylist’s work. I should note: I am a practicing, licensed cosmetologist. I was traveling and decided to take a chance on a salon in Nashville. Not sure why Unilocal has decided to hide my review– probably because it is the only negative one.

What I liked: 1. After a recommendation from 2 friends, I made an appointment with Katie for a cut and highlights– and she did not disappoint! 2. The salon was comfortable and modern with a welcoming and friendly staff. What I didn’t like: 1. This is a bit nit-picky, but I only wish they had a better drink selection– a good coffee goes a long way during a long hair appt(and I HATE artificial creamer!). I expected a little more«luxury» for a prominent Green Hills salon. The Verdict: The only thing that matters after testing out a new stylist is whether you would return– and I’m already booking my next appt!

I had a great massage from a new massage therapist at Trumps Salon & Spa. She was very reasonable and extremely knowledgeable. It was by far the best massage I have received in Nashville. It was obvious that she was very experienced. I was also very impressed with her professionalism. I’m looking forward to going back very soon!

I had a great experience at Trumps Salon & Spa. I went in to see Don for blonde highlights and a haircut. I’m very picky about my blonde highlights and was glad to hear that they used Schwarzkopf for hair color and Kerastase to wash my hair. Don did a great job with my color and I would highly recommend him for your highlights and cut! The one thing that I wish the Salon had was better beverages available for guests — when I go to nice salons, I always like to be welcomed with coffee or tea. They had some coffee but it was mediocre. I may be a bit of a diva in that respect but I think it really elevates the customer’s experience. The Salon also has some cute accessories that I recommend you check out while there.

I got a Shellac manicure here and, while the manicure was great, it didn’t last long at all! Not even a week. I’m not sure what the problem was, and it might have been my nails or something, so I’m not giving it 3-stars for that. What I am giving Trumps 3-stars for is the amount of time it took to get this mani/pedi. The technician put my feet in the bath and then left her small room for at least half-an-hour. It was supposed to be a quick lunch-time mani/pedi that turned into no less than a two-hour adventure. If you have somewhere to be, check out Venetian or Signature and skip Trumps for nails.

Trumps is a great salon. They are full service. They are the place to go for color. I don’t color my hair but all of the folks I know that do tell me Trumps is the place. Full service nails on site and a fabulous aesthetician as well. I think they even have massage. The prices are higher than Supercuts but the service and haircuts are so much better. Trumps also has wonderful accessories(Jewelry, bags and more) for sale. I have bought more than one birthday or Christmas gift here. If you are looking for a salon, give Trumps a try. You will need to make an appointment as they are always booked up.

I asked someone whose haircut I liked where she had her hair done. She referred me to Teresa. My hair is thick, coarse, and super straight. Teresa did a PERFECT job everytime I went. I was so happy to find her. She charged $ 56/cut.
