The Trunk

Hands down one of my favorite go to places for clothes in Nashville. They have the best selection of everything you need to make your closet a little bit happier. The store is so cute and hip. The owner Abby and her staff go above and beyond to make you feel like a million bucks!

The Trunk has some lovely stuff, sweaters, jewellry, T shirts etc. I saw a lovely sweater for $ 90 quite unusual and well worth the money, now if only the sizes were bigger, I mean this stuff is tight and small, ah well I satisfied my self with a double pair of garish Christmas socks for $ 15

I love this place. Anytime I get a chance, I stop by the truck. They have some sweet prices on nice t-​shirts and pants, which I totally dig. They just got in a wonderful men’s coat for $ 75, which I think is more than I wanted to pay, but totally worth it. Best jacket I’ve had. Rock on!

Love this store, got a killer hat. Lots of cool stuff. A must to check out. A lot of neat treasures to be found. One of the best shops I found while in Nashville. My wife loves to shop and drags me along. Was very pleasantly suprised.

A little treasure trove for gifting in the shops on Fatherland. I picked up some great cologne (Called Moonshine, but I assure you, it doesn’t risk of potent grain alcohol) and really cute beret. I will definitely be back when it’s time to grab a gift for my cufflink-​collecting bro. They have a great selection from estate sales and the like. It’s a small space, but it’s pretty packed out with fun gifts.

I visited the trunk once and thought their selection was very cool. State is equally cool and so well curated. On this trip I bought my husband some fantastic socks, a locally made beard oil, and some vintage lucite cuff links. The items range from affordable (everything above was $ 20 or less) to somewhat pricey (a pyrite and quartz bracelet for $ 185 I have lusted after for no less than six months). There were cowhide purses made by a girl who interned with Manuel, Manuel! Each was unique and amazing in its own right. I am ashamed I didn’t get the name of the very cool guy working there. He was so kind and helpful and made my shopping experience so pleasant. I will be back, if nothing else to soak in the delectable scent of the store!

Okay, so I might be a bit biased so I won’t tell you why I love The Trunk Nashville. Instead, I will tell you why it’s Nashville’s coolest new trend. In a diversely fashionable city like Nashville, it’s clear to see why a mobile fashion store is on trend and on point for Music City. Already a big hit in San Francisco, this trend is one to follow here.
The Trunk is loaded with items, mostly locally made, for everyone. Hats, jewelry, clothes, ties, bags. It’s always packed full of great items.

I received 2 of my favorite Christmas presents from State this year…
Located in the recently launched Shoppes on Fatherland shopping district, State is a small nook of a store packed with fantastic apparel, accessories, jewelry, and gift items. This boutique is owned by Abby Franklin of The Trunk (mobile retailer), this well appointed shop has some great merchandise that is a great option for both males and females. I had my eye on this unique little fork charm necklace ($ 40) and was gifted it for Christmas by one friend and by sheer luck, was also gifted a spoon version too. They look great worn together or separately. I have also been eyeing beautiful cocktail rings, bracelets, hats, and bags too.
Don’t let the tiny sie of this space detract you from all of the massive personality that the State packs!

I stopped by here during The Unilocal Shops Local event and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I started out in the Trunk Truck looking for some tie bars and they sent me inside to check out the rest. I walked in and found several things that I liked.
I found a tie bar I liked but it was a part of a set which Abby, the owner, was willing to break the set. Abby was very personable and after asking a couple questions she had kind of figured out my style and was showing me other things that I might like.
The prices seemed a little high but everything that they had was quite unique. Not only did I leave with a couple tie bars, I left with a desire to come back. Partially because they support another local business: Beardition
