Time to reaffirm that lonely review of 3 years ago. Yep, sure is the best little branch in town… probably in the universe. Unfailingly friendly employees from tellers to everyone else, and you can never discount the possibility of running into a mover or shaker in the music biz; for new writers or artists, this place is a must! If you call them, you’ll find more personalized and friendly service than what you’ll receive by dealing with reps who answer the regular toll-​free SunTrust number. Been with them more years than I care to reveal!

Friends and family will sometimes blurt, «Where do YOU bank»? They ask this generally inappropriate question following a sideways glance at my wallet, or better (I’d like to think) because of a deep, swelling respect for my relentless pursuit of excellence. Well, the answer for all those nosy bodies is: I’ve banked everywhere from local brick-​and-​mortar to virtual banks like Ally Bank to Bank of America to Chase to Citibank to E*Trade to HSBC to ING Direct to US Bank to Wells Fargo. Whew! So, I might know a little about banks.
One bank consistently stands apart — SunTrust. Specifically, the Sports & Entertainment Industry Group in Music City (Nashville, Tennessee).
Suntrust, simply put, is far and away the best bank for professionals in «The Biz» aka Show Business. The friendly and knowledgable staff at Suntrust is tuned (forgive the pun) to the specialized personal and business banking needs of talented pros. Discreet but secure, everybody is somebody at this branch that feels small like a credit union yet flexes with the full-​service strength of Suntrust, a recognized top 12 bank in assets (May 2012).
While true, banks rarely rank on the hot topic list (unless it’s something negative), for over 20 years I have found the charming southern professionalism of Suntrust deserving of my loyalty and highest recommendation despite the fact that I haven’t actually lived in the South for over 15 years. #RIP Brian Williams
