Spectra Designs Photography

My experience with Sarah started off pretty good. She was on time to my wedding and had a great attitude with myself, wedding party and guests. She was able to get us through the photo shoot quickly so we were able to get back to our guests. She was nice courteous, and helpful. She even let my niece follow her around with a camera and try her hand at taking photos. It was very sweet.
Then this is where things start to turn ugly. Right before leaving, she told me that it would take six weeks to process our wedding photos and to get them mailed to me. OK — 6 weeks sounds about right.
So 6 weeks later I get a text from her telling me my photos were almost ready. Great! I’m one happy tigger! 10 days later — no photos. I ask her where they are. I’m told they will be going out that next Monday. OK, the wrapping up part took longer than I had hoped, but I was happy to hear the photos would be shipped soon.
Well, perhaps as you can guess, she didn’t ship the photos on Monday. 2 weeks later I contact her to ask where the photos are and if she ever shipped them. I get some kind of excuse about why they weren’t done and that they should go out in the mail after she picks them up «tomorrow».
10 days later — still no photos. I try to contact her and she ignores my emails for nearly a week before getting back to me (3 emails from me later). She finally sends me a tracking number that doesn’t track anything. 5 days later, a new tracking number, and a few more excuses, I finally get my photos in the mail. 12 weeks after my wedding. For those of you keeping track, that is TWICE the time she quoted me.
I opened the photos and thank goodness! I’m happy with them. They are what I expected from her portfolio and her price range. Of course, I probably would have been even happier with the photos if I had received them on time and without the delays and excuses. After dealing with Sarah’s extremely poor customer service for a month and a half, I was not left with the warm and fuzzies. I decided to take a spin through her reviews to see if this had happened to others, and what do you know, it looks like most (if not all) of her good reviews are fake. They have just been copy/​pasted into review sites like and including this one.
If you are looking for wedding photographers, pass this one by and keep looking. Her photos were fine, her day-​of performance lovely, but her customer service on the back end is absolutely woeful. I felt she had taken my memories hostage and was holding them for ransom! So unless you are up for 3 months of mental anguish getting your photos — find another photographer!
