I came here several times with a group and one or two people never got their order taken. The food is decent and the people who run it are nice, but getting food the table is Restaurant 101. I’d go next door.

Service is terrible. On two occasions waited over one hour for food. I will never set foot in there again

We were so excited to find a place like Lucky Bamboo! I had hot pot for the first time and it was really good and fun. It is definitely huge so eat with a friend or four. :). There are two sides to the giant metal soup bowl they bring out so you can have two diff broths and then a variety of ingredients. It’s like an event when they roll out this tray to your table to set up the hot pot! I loved the boba tea(black tea). The food definitely feels authentic here. You will have items you don’t find at your normal Chinese restaurant. There is a lot I like about this place, but I will also mention a few things I wasn’t too keen on. I was very excited to try the pork belly, but I didn’t enjoy it. Parts of it were hard as a rock and it could have been prepared better. The duck was good when there was a piece with enough meat on it. It is a little confusing when you hear about how great their dim sum and can’t find it on the menu. I wasn’t clear on my definition of dim sum I didn’t realize what it was on the menu. By reading someone else’s review I realized they do something different on the weekend. When we stopped in on the weekend they had a cart going around with all the different type of dim sum on it and they show you and ask what you want. They also came by and offered us rice cake which was pretty good. So during the week the dim sum is listed under the appetizer menu. Pork shumai very good btw! One last note, service is friendly and atmosphere is pleasant. A little chilly by the Windows. I’m excited to come back to try more dishes I’ve never had! :).

This review is only for the delivery service. Asian food is tough to come by in Nashville so I wasn’t surprised when I realized how severely limited my choices for Chinese delivery were. This was the only place that would deliver to my apartment complex so I went ahead and ordered the $ 25 minimum(dinner for one please!). Time-wise, they quoted me at 45 minutes for a Thursday night and delivery guy got to my place at exactly then. Only thing that kills me is they didn’t put in any utensils, which is essential for a take-out or delivery order. Good thing I was at home otherwise I would have been pig troughing my food. And NOCONDIMENTS. Not even a packet of soy sauce was provided. With a $ 5 delivery fee, you’d think they could spare some soy sauce packets and a napkin or two. Food was meh. Very bland and tasteless. I got a shrimp stirfry entrée, wonton soup and egg drop soup. All had to be dolled up quite a bit from my end for it to have any flavor whatsoever. But it all had plenty of grease though! I’ve come to realize it’s a luxury to get Chinese food delivered and a freaking miracle to find good Chinese food in Nashville. If anyone has any recommendations, hit a sister up! Next time, I’ll stick to just making a PB&J.

Best wonton soup in a very long time. Owner is very friendly and aiming to please each customer. Which shows passion. His food shows it as well. Well worth the stop for real Chinese food.

I had the sesame chicken and it was right on the money. The guy at the counter since I told him it was my first time in he gave me the best egg drop soup that I had ever had. The price was reasonable and the staff was friendly and suggested eating in. The portions were great and the sauces didn’t overpower the chicken and blended seamlessly creating a delicious meal. I ate here at the suggestion of a coworker and this place definitely does not disappoint.

Favorite Chinese by far. The staff is so wonderful, and the food is amazing. Everything I get is my new favorite. You have to wait a little longer than other Chinese restaurants, but it’s definitely worth the wait. They have consistently the nicest and most welcoming staff in Nashville. For you like spicy, go with the hot pots. Otherwise the eggplant or the honey walnut shrimp are the way to go. And the dim sum is great.

Awesome hot pot. And the dim sum on the weekends is great for something different. The take out food is pretty good, I’d say average for Chinese take out.

Please don’t waste your money! If your life is on the line and the only way you can survive is to eat some shitty dim sum then this is the place for you. The food is not good and everything is luke-warm. I’ve never gone to an Asian restaurant expecting any kind of «customer service» but the waitress who helped us was AWFUL! She was monotoned and unfriendly. I asked for a pot of chrysanthemum tea and she brought back a pot of Jasmine tea, poured it, and said, «We didn’t have the tea you wanted so I brought you this.» and then she charged me for TWO orders and said, «Well you said two…» And walked away. Oh my god! I almost flipped a table! NEVER. EVER. AGAIN! EVER! I’m Asian and from Denver, CO where there is a neighborhood with a dim sum restaurant on every block. My opinions are legit.

As far as dim sum in Nashville goes, it’s a 6 out of 10. As a whole, I rate it a firm 4.5 out of 10. The service was good and it had a decent dining environment. Our order got complicated as we were unsure of a few items, but our waitress was very patient and even got our order correct! We were for sure we had confused the poor girl enough that our order would be incorrect — but she proved us wrong! Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would definitely visit this restaurant again when in Nashville and crave dim sum!

Great authentic and American Chinese food. The staff is incredibly friendly too! We had the dry Mongolian pot, and Mongolian chicken, if you like a little heat these are great!

I went here with my fiancé and his three adorable kidos. We thought we would be able to be in and out in an hour, but the service was turtle-paced that day. The wait-staff was friendly, but it took way too long for us to even order. The atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing and family-friendly. The kids even got to feed the coy fish! While the food did not disappoint, it seemed to us like pretty standard Chinese fare. We may go back because our six year-old is obsessed with dumplings, but if the service is that slow again, it’ll be the last time.

I went for dim sum on weekend morning. The food are mediocre. They roll dim sum cart to your table. Food are not hot, it kinda lukewarm. Service is good. I probably give them one more try with hot pot on dinner menu.

Went again today with 22 of my closest people in the same company. I like them too! We went for the Weekend Dim Sum. As it is the only Dim Sum in town, it is always fun! A menu with pricing would be helpful. As well as an explanation. This place is awesome for Nashville. A lot of us ordered some menu items. Our total came to 16 dollars per person with the tip. It was a bunch of fun and tastey. Now is it as good as others in different cities… who knows… Dim Sum is Dim Sum, But the food is very good and it is such a great fun experience. i think they gave us free egg custard pies, who knows I was so happy to be with friends, i don’t remember. If you have an opportunity to go with a bunch of friends, it is worth it! Thanks Jack and company!

I’ve only ordered delivery so I can’t speak to service. I’m sure this place is far authentic, but it’s really good Americanized Chinese food. I’ve ordered quite a few times and the food is always hot and has never been screwed up. The ingredients are fresh and they don’t use onions as filler, unlike a lot of places. I also like that they don’t charge extra if I want brown or fried rice as my side, instead of white rice. I’d for sure recommend them, especially if you’re hungry during an ‘off’ hour because they deliver all day.

This update is based on our last visit, and it will likely be our«last» visit. Food was fine, but the service was abysmal. Not our server’s fault — she was the only server at the restaurant. But waiting for almost an hour for our food is simply not acceptable. Of note, the owner and hostess did nothing to pitch-in. Most annoying watching the two of them hang-out, chat, and play on their phones while several tables waited(for an hour) for their food. We left our server 25% tip, but the best tip we could give her would be for her to find employment with a better managed restaurant.

Yes, lucky bamboo does offer more authentic Chinese than any place I’ve seen in Nashville, but it’s still not that great. This last time I tried cashew chicken and it tasted like cinnamon. Must of been Chinese five spice, but didn’t take like typical cashew chicken. The won ton soup was bland and service painfully slow.

Especially with the Unilocal!coupons, I don’t anywhere you can get more quantity of very solid food for the money. This place has interesting food at great prices. I really should come here more often — it’s delicious.

Let’s hope their Sichuan items are better than the dimsum we experienced this past wekend. In my experience, I have never found a Chinese restaurant which can offer more than one regional cuisine and be good at both. In Lucky Bamboo’s case, Cantonese and Sichuan foods are simply too different for the restaurant to master both. Their dimsum offerings are just… off and odd tasting to someone who grew up on the stuff. The black bean ribs were dark, yet with no black bean in sight. The lotus wrapped rice had only ground meat of some kind. Chow Hall Fun: small portion of mushy noodles without char. Sichuan fried riblets: way too salty and soggy from being pre-made and sitting on the cart for a while. The roast pork was the only highlight of the meal. But it is not better than the others I have had. I didn’t even try the duck after the parade of disappointing dishes. I think I am just so spoiled by Oriental House in Louisville. And, no, the slow service did not lift my spirits either… sighhh…

This is my very favorite(traditional) Chinese restaurant in town. It has also become one of my wife’s favorite places to eat. The staff if wonderful and the owner is awesome! I will admit that the kitchen is slow at times but the wait on the food is always worth it. We love the Pork Buns and I love the Pork Belly, sooooo good! Before you judge me on this, I know General Tso’s Chicken was basically created here in America by a Chinese Chef sometime in the late 40’s or 50’s depending on which story you go with. We ordered the General Tso’s Chicken as we like it at most places and some are better than others. My wife and I just figured it would be especially good at a place we already like. WEWERENOTREADY for what came out.(It took forever) They make this from scratch when you order it. There is not any pre-fried chicken here. The skin is left on and fried to a crisp then it is battered and fried again then tossed in the very best sauce we have ever had. It was not that dark sauce you would expect. It was light and wonderful. At first we were afraid it would be greasy but we were so wrong. The texture of the crisp skin along with the tender and juicy chicken was fabulous. We have had the Hot Pot and several other dishes here and have loved it all but I will absolutely be ordering the General Tso’s Chicken again. I am also looking forward to the chickens feet next time.(a bit too much for my wife) Another thing we love is the indoor Coy Fish pond. When you go to look at them and walk around the pond they will follow you wanting you to feed them. Kids love this. If you have never tried this place then set a time and go. If you have been and like it then be sure to try the General Tso’s Chicken. You will not be sorry. Let me know what you think!
