Love At First Sight Pet Adoption Center

I adopted a cat from this place a few years ago and they made me sign a document saying I would get all my pets vaccinations and neutering from Murphy road animal hospital. Murphy road is really expensive and when I neutered my kitten at another vet they wanted to charge me a penalty fee. Also the staff at Love At First Site has never been necessarily friendly to me. I’ve been several times because I love animals but they always seem almost annoyed that I’m even there and never seem excited at a person potentially wanting to adopt a pet from them. I don’t think I’ll use their services again. I give them three out of five because they do have a great selection of puppies and kittens but I always recommend rescuing a pet instead.

About a year ago, we adopted our sweet baby Nash from Love at First Sight. The staff was great — they told us everything they could about the puppies and once we saw our baby, we were sold. They do make you sign a contract in which you agree to use the vet across the street from them for shots and a spay/​neuter surgery so it was pretty pricey. However, the money goes back to Love at First Sight. The vet’s office was great too — staff was super friendly and helpful. They also sent cards whenever it was time for a check-​up. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our experience here. If we ever adopted another pup, we would come here!

This place was wonderful to my boyfriend and I. We had to give up our 2 month old puppy due to our living and work situations. The staff was so kind and compassionate towards us. They really made giving up our pup a little less painful. I was made to feel like they really understood how hard it was for us. They are great people, please adopt from this wonderful place!

Not a lot to choose from. It’s a small place. Parking is difficult. The staff is decent. If you don’t like this place, there’s a Humane Association nearby off of White Bridge Rd. Adopting is a great option over a breeder. Definitely recommend.

Of course all the babies are adorable. I haven’t been back here for a while, but its always a joy to see so much cuteness.
They take in unwanted litters from individuals and try to educate people to fix their pets, but they don’t take individual puppies or kittens or any from shelters.

We loved our experience there today. They had a huge selection of puppies for adoption. Their prices are a little higher than the humane shelter but you are getting a lot with the money you are paying.
We got us a cute little boxer puppy today and our total was 250. BUT this included the adoption, first three months of parasite protection, flee protection, heart worm med, an exit exam complete with a stool check, small bag of dog food, $ 25 deposit toward the spay, first set of shots, deworming, and $ 50 deposit down toward the last set of shots.
You do have to use the Murphy Road Animal Hospital until you have completed the last set of shots (pretty much the first year) for twice simple and understandable reasons (other reviews seem to not know this so I will explain) First of all this is a puppy and kitten rescue place. They do not charge to take in your puppies. The animal hospital funds this rescue center which is why they want you to take them to the animal hospital across the street from the adoption center, it keeps them funded and able to continue saving these puppies. Second of all, they do this to keep track of their adoptees to insure the owner did do what they signed the contract of doing which is to complete the shots and spay/​neuter their new pet. So I had no problem in agreeing to take our new puppy to this animal clinic even though its 30 minutes from my home.
The animal hospital is also internet friendly. You can set appointments online and you can sign up your animal on alerts. The vet will email or text you to remind you when its time to give your animal their meds (very nice for those who have to take meds once a month) and also alerts you when your meds are running low too.
This was our first experience there and we will definitely recommend to others!

This place is tops!
The staff goes above and beyond in providing an outlet for the care (and outright survival!) of pets — with special emphasis on puppies and kittens.
Having lost my «best friend» to cancer four years ago, it took some time for me to be in the right state of mind (and heart) to welcome and love another dog in my life.
Well, now finally seemed the right time for that and my wife and I had been checking their website on a regular basis for «new arrivals.» And this little terrier mix (picture attached — a MUST SEE!) caught our eyes and, after a visit, captured our hearts!
Now, this little rascal has a new home!
The staff at LAFS are very caring and genuinely committed to ensuring their temporary guests are placed in a loving and safe environment.
Working in coordination with the Murphy Road Animal Hospital (right across the street!), they accomplished their stated goal of providing a means of adopting healthy pets to responsible pet owners, placing a strong emphasis on owner education and prevention of pet overpopulation.
No adoption fee is charged, but you get the satisfaction and peace of mind that the immediate costs for shots and neutering are appropriate, and provided with proper care and attention.
Today, we are indeed happy customers — and new «parents,» too!

Got my puppy here this past fall. Ever since then I tell everyone to go there if they are thinking about adopting. Only thing I didn’t like was that you have to take your puppy/​kitty to their vet. across the street.

This is a «date with daughter» location. Despite the fact that we can’t care for pets at home, we enjoy hanging out at this place. Their mission is great, the staff is kind and helpful, and the pets are always adorable.

Fell in love with a brunette with pair of green eyes named Sugar (renamed Kyra) back in 2006. Everyone was wonderful during the process. Knowledgeable, clean and efficiently run facility. No adoption fee but you pay for shots and spay/​neutering.
Downside, animals in other places with kill policies probably need the home more urgently. But still Love at First Sight is doing a wonderful thing by taking in puppies and finding them caring homes.

This place sure knows what it’s doing… kudos to them for their crafty yet simple tactics — who can resist all those adorable animals?
It’s not far from my office, so a few of us sometimes stop in to play with the puppies on our lunch hour… So, not surprisingly, I now own a puppy from there. Call me a sucker.
There is no adoption fee, per se, but you pay for the first round of shots or so and a deposit on the spaying/​neutering up front (to ensure you use Murphy Road Animal Hospital for the procedure). You are required to use Murphy Road Animal Hospital up until the spay/​neuter, but I don’t really mind since it is a great facility. I do think they are just a little pricier than other vets, though.
The staff are all very caring and helpful — I always bring Sebastian by to see them when he has a vet appointment across the street.
It’s been a good experience, but I suppose there are others (kill shelters) that need your business a little more. That had been my plan until I fell for a little puppy in the window!

First of all I want to say that every one of my families pets have been from LAFS. They provide good information and friendly service there. They give wonderful care to their animals and they provide you with an affordable adoption fee.

I love coming by here and perusing the puppies in the window which they put on display like a hospital nursery. I really think this is fine thing in all I guess because they do take puppies and kittens and find them homes.
However, their adoption fee is really high considering they don’t spay or neuter the puppy and you will have to commit to using their animal clinic across the street at least for a year I think.
Nashville has plenty of kill shelters here that would be superb to rescue from but with smaller children, I am just nervous enough to want to get something young that will grow with them. Love at First sight is a viable option but I probably prefer the Humane Association on Osceola.
