J Yontef Diamonds & Custom Jewelry

Met with Jay Yontef after searching for a custom jeweler to make our engagement ring. We weren’t in a big rush, but everything was done within a relatively fast timeframe. Jay worked with us on the design of the ring and helped us figure out the sizing! All in all was an amazing experience! We were very satisfied and the ring is beautiful! Everything we expected and more!

J. Yontef and his wife, Adriane, truly know their craft. You will only receive quality craftmanship and materials when you work with them. J is so trustworthy and professional – I hope he never retires! I can’t count the number of times during the past ten years that I have received a compliment on my sparkling J. Yontef diamond. Unbeknownst to me at the time, my fiancé went to Jay Yontef after much searching, knowing that he wanted someone who could create a custom engagement ring. My fiancé met with Jay several times to design a ring that was exactly what he (and, ultimately, I) was looking for. He was able to tell him what he did and didn’t like, and Jay provided professional recommendations about what would produce the best ring. He helped my fiancé pick the diamond, and sort through the priorities for selecting the stone he liked best. My fiancé went into the process knowing a lot about diamonds, and appreciated the wisdom Jay provided. He never felt pressured. Jay was a joy to work with.
The ring itself is more beautiful than I could have imagined my engagement ring would be. The quality, craftsmanship, and elegance is phenomenal. Jay worked with my fiancé to design a ring that would be proportional to my small hands and slight figure by asking my fiancé for a picture of me with my hands showing. He also made sure to set the ring low in its setting so that it wouldn’t sit so high up on my finger.
After my fiancé proposed and we found the ring to be a size too large, Jay resized it beautifully, and there’s no mark on the ring showing it was resized.
All-​in-​all, both my fiancé and I are thrilled with the ring and the service Jay provided. We would both highly recommend him to those couples looking for an elegant and unique ring.

I met with Mr Yontef for around 1.5 hours to discuss a $ 20,000 ring purchase. After our consultation he decided for whatever reason that he did not want my business and was very rude about it. Don’t waste your time on this jeweler. He does not feel that he should earn his business. Look elsewhere if you want a friendly experience with a jeweler who cares.

I called to ask if they would take out links from my watch. They do not provide this service but was very nice. They even recommended a place for me to go. :) Thanks!

my fiancée had my ring made, and the curve of the stones made it impossible to find a «ready made» wedding band to fit it flush. I found an article about Jay in the city paper, so I thought that I’d give him a try. He and his wife, Adrianne, are amazing! Very warm and welcoming, they really listen to what you are looking for. They made me a perfect band that not only matches my engagement ring perfectly, but incorporated the stylistic elements of my mother’s ring… Which was important to me as my mom has passed, and her ring was lost. They are not the cheapest option, but I think that they are the best… I was blown away by my ring, as is everyone who sees it. If you’re looking for something unique, look no further. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

My husband surprised me with a beautiful engagement ring that he and Jay had designed in gotten ready in about 2 weeks, which was amazing in itself. We were so happy with Jay that we went back to purchase both of our wedding bands. Because my engagment ring is non-​traditional Jay worked with us and designed a beautiful wedding band that really compliments the engagement ring that he already designed. I thought my alexandrite engagement ring was exquisite but Jay found a way to make it even more beautiful with the wedding band he designed to match it. He took the time on both pieces to work with us and bounce off ideas. The end result is flawless. Above everything else him and his wife are wonderful people and a pleasure to know.
