One of the best places in town for great metal frames(hard to find in Nashville), and lenses are always top quality, but you definitely pay for what you get. Last pair I priced would have cost almost $ 1,000 with progressive transition lenses, and they didn’t offer a discount for no vision insurance as some other places do. I’m still shopping. I’ve been buying glasses at Image for almost 20 years, but employees aren’t as good, as attentive, or as helpful as they used to be. Maybe because they know I can’t easily drop $ 800 or more on new glasses…

They have a good selection and the staff is great at helping you pick out frames that are complimentary while being tactful. Make sure that you review your insurance policy very well before you shop here. You will be told whatever it takes to make a sale.

Lets preface this review by saying I’ve been a long time user of Unilocal and have wanted to contribute for a while, but after how I feel today, I finally decided to take the time to do it. Optometrist: –Dr. Profitt, on-site optometrist, is probably one of the most competent docs I’ve met. If you have complicated eyes like I do(astigmatism, a bit of dry eye, allergies) he is an incredible person to go. He knows his literature, his treatments, he takes his time, explains what he’s doing and why. I revered my optometrist from back home, but this guy gives him a run for his money. He is a no-BS, polite, excellent doc. Selection: –I work 2525 West End so this place is right below me. I’ve been a long time glasses wearer and consider myself on the fashionable side. I could be wrong, but I think this place has the best selection of designer eyewear. If you know good eyewear, then you know that place has the right brands in excellent options, I’m talking Orgreen, Mikli, Bevel, Robert Marc … not that same old Gucci, D&G stuff you can find at Sam’s Club(I love Sam’s Club, but I guess have a penchant for the unique) Staff: –These girls are slightly intimidating because of the product they are selling. I don’t know that I can feel completely at peace asking for an opinion form someone trying to sell you a $ 695 frame, not including lenses. I mean for realz? So anyways, I’ve browsed here 2 – 3 times before my appointment and by browse I mean, made them take out and let me try on lots of glasses. They are HONEST with their opinions, which I value a ton. Also, they are totally patient with you saying, hey I need more time to figure it out. To be honest, premium glasses are controlled products that are marked up 200−500%. What are you gonna do about it? I think they understand this here and won’t push you to make a purchase which I appreciate… though I think it would be kinda hillarious for someone to test the staff’s patience, j/k don’t do that, they are good peoples. Insurance: –If you work at Vandy and have vision coverage, this place takes it and it really is pretty comprehensive coverage. I walked out with a new pair of Robert Marc frames($ 395, before insurance) + lens, and 6-months of monthly, astigmatism contacts for $ 417. So I’m sitting in front of my computer right now, not straining, pretty excited about the new pair of glasses I can wear and feel great about spending $ 417 today on my eyes. Getting into a great med school today doesn’t hurt the mood either. Long story short, if you want great glasses and great eyecare at a very reasonable price, this place is your best bet.

The best selection of designer sunglasses and eyeglasses in Nashville. They have an optometrist in house and are reasonably priced for the quality of product. I have bought one pair of eyeglasses and three of sunglasses in the last 10 years, and I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else.
