House of David

I have been in a lot of studios over the years and I have NEVER felt more at home and felt I was in the right place than when I was at House of David recording last week! I will record here from now on. PERIOD! The wonderful people – Mike Davis, Luke, Mr David Briggs, Mr Ray Kennedy etc… Make this THE place to get THAT soul and tone we all hear in our ears AND hearts. The 1972 API console with the new Burl Mothership converters are beyond belief and killer in every way! Really does sound like you are recording to 2″ tape. NOT kidding. They were so welcoming to my engineer/​producer Ryan Frederick and myself! We were able to record over 20 songs in about 2 days. Just MAGIC in every way! The history, vibe, mojo, whatever you wanna call it, is here in a very deep way. Great mics and they KNOW how to use them. I can not thank these wonderful people and this incredible studio enough! Thank you for the inspiration and keepin those doors open so more magic can happen!

Incredible list of artist credits — Neil Young recorded his country album «Old Ways» there in ’85 with Waylon and Willie and Elvis frequently recorded there (there’s an Elvis trap door in the building, folks…)
