I ordered carry out here for lunch today and I’m just not feeling it. I ordered the tilapia po boy and it was extremely fishy tasting and obviously not fresh tilapia. It even had a gray cast to it and strong fishy odor, very unappetizing and I felt ill after eating a few bites. My partner ordered the regular cheeseburger and while it was okay it didn’t wow either of us and didn’t even compare to other burgers in the area. I wouldn’t recommend Hillwood pub based on this experience, though I may give it a second chance some time in the future… I don’t know.

This a great neighborhood Pub with a plentiful beer selection — local and non — and very tasty food. The buffalo chicken salad is a go-to of mine, almost weekly. The staff is 90% on point; beats BW3s any day! Come out and support your local Bellevue pub!

The food really sets Hillwood Pub apart from other bars in the area. It’s conveniently close and the food has been great. I’d definitely recommend the cheese curds as an appetizer. And the catfish tacos were the highlight of my meal. Definitely will be coming back to check out other items on the menu.

This is our neighborhood staple bar & restaurant. They have amazing food specials almost every day & yummy brunch choices. This place has improved exponentially in the last year. Their chefs are stellar & staff is friendly. They are kid & drooling pet friendly(patio.) They have gotten Best Wings in the City Awards. We love the Thai Wings. Their pork chops make me want to «drop a mike» every time. The have affordable KY Bourbon Barrel Ale on tap(it’s possible I swear!) They also have a delicious Bushwhacker frozen drink yumminess; I don’t know what it contains but I do know it’s fattening but if you drink one you won’t care. Close to Costco if you need more reasons to give it a try; I’ve convinced myself… I should go tonight!

I would leave 4.5 stars if I could due to the capability of hanging meat in this pub(in other words bring a coat or maybe a parka). The waiters/waitresses are on top of their game. There is also a cute little manager named Chuck that will take care of every need you may have(if you have a problem, just yell Chucks name), The sensei will take care of it! The food rules and the drinks will get you buzzed if that is your cup of tea. To top it off, it is non smoking except on their awesome patio(vaping is allowed inside for us trend setters who have Superman type lungs from recently quitting the real smokes). If you are looking for a new pub experience on the West Side and prefer a manager that is a trained Ninja that specializes in serving up great food, cold drinks mixed in with a killer personality. Look no further. Oh and did I mention, bring a coat or a space heater. Either will suffice. Enjoy!

This place is just like all of those hole in the walls you see in the first part of Restaurant: Impossible. You know, the one that is about to go out of business. Poor food, passable service, and a live band that is turned up just too loud to have a conversation at the table. Mediocre food at best. My girlfriend ordered the Alfredo and everyone at the table felt like there was a teaspoon of nutmeg in it. Apparently someone forgot which seasoning was which. The best part was that they bragged about it being made fresh to order. Store bought dough and mediocre toppings made for a pizza that tasted microwaved. They are a pub with no beer menu except for the one written in colored chalk on the black chalkboard 30 ft away. I could not read it and I have awesome eye sight. Here’s a thought: print out a beer list. You only have 12 on draft. It would not take you very long.

Great beers on draft. And family friendly. Buffalo chicken wrap was great. Catfish fillets were huge. Great service. Manager checked in multiple times. Our server was first night and did great. Will go back again.

This place is my cheers. The bartenders go out of their way to learn your name. The food is well above average as well. My favorites are their wings and the smoked pork chop. There are also specials every week night that often end up being an awesome deal. $ 5 burger night, 50 cent wings, and then there are some beer specials as well.

When I judged in the Music City Wing Festival last year, there was one wing so good that I had to wait around and find out which one it was and whether or not it won. It won and it was Hillwood Pub’s. Finally made it out here and they were just as good as I remembered. Catfish was also good. Friendly and prompt service.

Went here on Friday night and wasn’t sure what to expect. My best friend had been there previously and had awesome food and we decided to go out of the box of the usual bars and restaurants we eat at. And I’m oh so glad we did. John was our server and I can tell right now, he is everything you want in a server: attentive, polite. Great job! The wings, they were amazing, although I’ve had the sauce before at other local establishments, the cook on them was perfect. My friend got the fish tacos, which I wish I had gotten to be honest. The drinks were great too. So nice that so many local bars have left some taps open for local rotating beers. The shots we had were also amazing and great quality for the money is always something I look forward to! Grapefruit Creamcicle, YUM! The ONLY reason I’m putting a four star rating on this is because of my meal, which the fries were amazing, but the chicken wrap had provolone on it, and I wasn’t a fan. Great job Hillwood Pub! We will be back!

A nice little bar located in a strip mall near Publix in west Nashville. Very good food. I got the steak sliders with hush puppies instead of fries. They give you six huge hush puppies that were excellent. Sliders were good too. The beer selection wasn’t huge but they did have a lot of local craft beer and Kentucky bourbon ale on tap.

We came for dinner and it was just ok. We had the chef salad and mushroom Swiss burger with fries. The fries were good — thick and fresh. The Swiss and mushrooms were tasty but the burger was bland. The salad was pretty good and had a lot of stuff(bacon, avocado, bleu cheese). Overall it was all okay — not bad and not great. We had those two dishes plus a beer and soda for about $ 24 before tip. If I could do a 3.5 stars I would. Service was fast and friendly. It was nice to sit on the large patio because the weather was great. I would go back because it’s walking distance from me and not bad food, but if I wanted great bar food I would go elsewhere. They have a different(and on the cheap side) special every night and a pretty standard bar food menu.

Fantastic WINGS ! This reminds me a locals only bar and the prices reflect that. $ 3-$ 4 for bottle beers. Wings $ 8.00, got some cheese curds that were awesome. What a great bar with some awesome food. Something for everyone on the menu. There is outdoor seating so you can smoke, eat and drink. You’re staring at a parking lot and UHAUL sign but whatever you’re outside. Service was quick and the staff is friendly. Cool place with awesome bar food. YUM!

This is a bi-weekly visit for me. Great beer selection, and the best fish tacos around(fried catfish). Wings are really good and I believe they are smoked for a little while. They do a hot chicken about once a week that should be on the menu full time. Their pizza is surprisingly good as well!

We stopped in here to get some lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were in the area on the way to Green Door Gourmet to pick some strawberries. We had to get sustenance to last in the fields though! The pub is located at the end of a strip mall. They’ve got a long bar inside & a bunch of tables. Since it was sunny and 76 outside, we decided to sit outside on the patio. Our server Jen was very friendly & helpful. We skimmed over the menu & I decided on the ‘Continental’ pizza which consists of ground beef, bacon, pepperoni, hamburger, sliced ham, red sauce, onions, mushrooms & mozzarella. I got the small for $ 12. It didn’t take but about 15 minutes for the pizza and ‘three little pigs’ sliders to arrive. My pizza was very hot. The sliders & fries weren’t that hot, which was kind of a bummer. The pizza has a very thin, almost cracker crust which I enjoy, if you don’t like thin crust though, you won’t enjoy the pizza. Red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese was brought out to go along with the pizza which I enjoyed. The meat(s) on the pizza were seasoned well & it didn’t seem like an overload of meat. Also the onions were chopped up so to that it wasn’t an onion overload. I think for the size & contents of toppings, the pizza should be more along the $ 8 – 10 prize range instead of $ 12. I did enjoy it though.

Don’t bother with the chains in Nashville West. Do as the locals do. You will not be disappointed. Sunday brunch is great too.

Came here for a Sunday SeaHawks game, was pleasantly greeted, well catered too, and told about all the things they offered to eat– including the music city food festival award winning hot wings!(Which they have the trophy to prove it! Courtney was my server and her service couldn’t be more professional. As soon as I walked in, she offered me a mimosa, Bloody Mary, and a slue of other«breakfast» drinks to quench my thirst! Needless to say I went with a mimosa). She also grabbed me another menu as her senses told her I would be meeting some other friends here. A personal thank you goes out to Courtney and the Hillwood pub for making this experience a great one! We love to have you in the neighborhood!

This place reopened recently(was formerly DJ’s Pub) and has some new menu options plus it is now nonsmoking. This place still has one of the best thin crust pizzas in Nashville. Their Jalapeño sliders and cheese curds are also a good choice. Jerri does a great job bartending and is always making sure you have a full glass.
