H&R Block

This is the first year I’ve not done my taxes on my own or use TurboTax. Over 2012, I worked 4 jobs in 2 states, so I was hesitant to trust myself this year and went for the leap to see a tax professional. NO REGRETS.
I made an appointment online a few days before my desired appointment date. You can either pick tax professional and see when they have openings or pick your time and get assigned randomly. I chose to pick a time, since I’d never done this before. Moments later I received an email confirming my appointment and the name of the tax professional who would be helping me.
I was a few minutes late, but this didn’t seem to be a problem to anyone (nor did it cause my appointment to go too much over the set time). I was greeted with a huge smile and a handshake by the man who would be helping me. He offered coffee, which I declined.
The filing process was a breeze. He made small talk while he filed in my numbers, so it wasn’t awkward sitting there while he worked. I had a few questions that sprung up in my head out of no where regarding being a part-​time citizen in two states, and he did not seem to mind my interjections.
I don’t have any special deductions or payments on anything that would make my taxes anything but standard, but I am very satisfied with the ease of filing at this location.
I was charged a fee for filing state taxes, but (if i remember correctly) it was only a couple dollars more than I paid last year to file for Illinois on TurboTax. definitely worth not having to do the work yourself.
They actually made doing taxes enjoyable. Never thought that could be accomplished.
