Great location, clean and orderly building, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a great selection of all media. It is never too crowded and I have always been able to sit right down at the computer that is used for looking up material without having to wait. This branch is near my work, so I am fortunate to get to stop in during my lunch break to return/checkout my material. As stated earlier, the staff could not be better. My favorite branch in the whole Nashville Library system!

Compared to some of the other libraries not far away, this is a very sad and outdated-looking branch. Caught in between the outstanding and gorgeous Downtown Library, and the impressive(though somewhat discourteous) Hermitage branch, the question must be asked if the Donelson Branch feels feels a little superfluous. I know there are plenty of families and others who could use a good library, but this one isn’t really a good library. All of it’s departments are both smallish and very cramped. The front parking is very small, requiring all others to park in the back and climb the stairs to get to the stacks. If you’re planning to go to the Donelson Branch Library, I’d really recommend you take the time to get to one of the better locations not far away.
