Cashier didn’t listen that well, or it was prob the noise around the hotel. I had the vanilla bean frappé, but it just tasted like vanilla milk at Starbucks that the kids drink. Barista was nice, but she was a little slow. My sis got the carmel frappé, she said she loved it. I should’ve gotten that. The line was long, about 5 – 10 minutes. Some people just can’t make up their minds. Whipped cream tasted bad, prob not fresh. I don’t want to hate on Starbucks though, because it’s usually really good. My pumpkin bread slice was awesome, I get it every time. Overall, I guess I could’ve gotten something better for breakfast/lunch. I’ve had better. Probably want to go somewhere else, rather than waiting in line for 10 minutes and getting a bottle of kid’s vanilla milk.

If I could give negative 2 stars I would. We stopped here while we were at the Hotel to see the Christmas displays. The girl at the counter was nice but double charged my daughter for her drink. We realized it while we were waiting in the line to get our drinks. Mentioned it to the barista and she very rudely said that was not her issue — speak to the cashier. So we did and she said that she would have to wait on a supervisor to come from another area of the hotel. It took 5 minutes for the supervisor to show up but not a huge problem since it took even longer than that to get our drinks. The peppermint late didn’t have ANY peppermint flavor. The barista was rude. As we sat to have our drinks the line at the drink counter got up to 12 people waiting. The barista was an older African American woman with attitude and no sense of customer service. I MAY try them again to see if it is tolerable without her running the drinks. If she is there I will not waste my time or money. Drinks were horrible. The cashier and supervisor were very nice but ridiculous that the cashier couldn’t issue a refund.

The Cocoa Bean is located inside the Gaylord Opryland Hotel — it’s right around the corner from the main lobby check in area. I hit The Coffee Bean twice during my stay at the Gaylord Opryland — both times I ordered iced lattes — first time was a triple shot iced latte with whole milk; the second time a double shot iced latte with whole milk. Both drinks were strong and tasty and did the trick! Fed my brain the caffeine it oh so desperately craved and needed! There are a number of tables off to the side where you can sit and enjoy your beverage or work on your notebook computer or mobile device. Service was good!

A good bean shop on the way to the convention floor! Better than the self serve Starbucks machines scattered around.

Decent coffee: now please understand, the people behind Opryland Hotel would never stoop to selling a local bean, and it shows because the coffee is not rich or particularly flavorful. But it’s not disgusting or even unpleasant. The baked goods are actually fairly good, definitely above average, and better than most places I’ve visited. Since they’ve got more dedicated kitchens than anywhere else in Nashville, this should come as no shock. My main beef is how expensive it is. It makes the notably pricy Starbucks seems inexpensive by comparison. To have to spend more than ten bucks for the drink, pastry, and the tip is unreasonable, in my opinion. But since everything is overpriced at Opryland, this should come as a surprise to no one. Donelson is sorely lacking in coffee choices, and this is no doubt the best. That’s not saying a whole lot, but it’s better than nothing,

I made this my daily stop when I was visiting the Gaylord Oryland. Great fruit platters and hot chai lattes. My staple breakfast and mid-afternoon snack!!!
