So, the manager of Bread and Co. was very quick and apologetic in her response to me, and so I revisited. I’m happy to say that the food was just as good as before, and the service was good. I’m glad, because I can’t live without the honey almond chicken salad!

Needed a quick pick me up… cup of soup, bread and coffee! the food hit the spot perfectly, and the service was OUTSTANDING!!! JB went out of his way to bring me whipped butter for my bread and Thomas gave me the best service and smile in the world! And he calls me Miss Lori!!! I’ll be back next visit to Nashville!

I’ve been visiting more since the remodel and feel it’s a MUCH better experience. The flow is much more clear than before and ordering is quick and easy. My go-to is the turkey, bacon, cheddar sandwich. It always tastes fresh and is piled high with in-house roasted turkey. I would rather pay $ 10 for freshness than the same for preservative-filled pre-packaged turkey at Panera. However, I do wish they offered some combo options. Overall, great for lunch breaks and my fruit tea fix!

The remodel has really opened up a lot more space and seating options and streamlined the ordering. You no longer have to run up and down the place to get your food and then get back in line to pay. Many of the menu items are the same, with more all day breakfast options. Who doesn’t love breakfast all day??? I got the strawberry fields salad, my favorite, but I miss the old vinegarette they used. Fruit tea still rocks. Will be back!

I revisited Bread & Company recently after being gifted a free meal from the commenter on my previous review. My previous review focused on service, so I’ll do the same here. The line is more efficient, and the wait time for my kale superfood salad was reasonable. Although I had a buzzer, it didn’t go off because my salad was delivered right to me. A very nice touch. I’ll be back again, this time with my own money.

It’s definitely more expensive than most. However, they have a totally fantastic tomato basil soup that is worth it in spades. I can only fault it in that I wish it was puréed more so didn’t end up with thin onion strips larger than my spoon. Their sourdough bread is great.

I went here for lunch today at 1 pm 2÷27÷16. I ordered a woodmont salad(mixed greens and blue cheese). When the server brought out our food she had a Cobb salad(eggs, bacon, croutons). No big deal I thought, I let her know the mistake showing her my receipt and even showing her the difference in the menu.(she personally didn’t know the difference). She immediately apologized and went to exchange the salad. When she returned it was the same exact Cobb salad now with blue cheese poured on top. She told me that the salad chief had said that this was the woodmont but he forgot the blue cheese.(obviously lying because it was no just the Cobb salad with blue cheese on top.) I was so surprised and hungry by this point that I just said it was ok. Half way through(Surprise, the salad didn’t taste good either) I was so upset that I had to explain to her what happened. I am not a complainer and don’t ever send stuff back. I just left without asking for a refund or a new salad. With so many great lunch spots in town/near by for your time and money I would recommend giving this place a miss.

Well here I am waiting to die from whatever sh*t I just ingested & shelled out $ 20 for. Mid-day during work, I starvingly & excitedly drove 30 minutes to get my favorite roast beef sandwich I’ve had since I was a little girl, only to notice half-way through devouring it that the bread was reeking of mold & stale. Then I paid more attention to the other ingredients… All looked rotten & smelly. I was so hungry I didn’t even notice this at first. I called immediately & spoke to manager Brooke who was super apologetic & refunded me.(That’s for the 2 stars.) I’m disgusted & saddened one of Nashville’s staples has gone down the gutter! And crossing my fingers I don’t die.

Bread and Company has been a favorite of mine since 2003. I could swallow the high prices because their food was THAT good. I have not been there since last summer. I went there for a late lunch today; unfortunately, it was not good. The low fat chicken salad was terrible; it had way too much mayonnaise and tasted as if it had been frozen and then thawed. I am not sure if the recipe changed or what, but it was very disappointing. The sourdough bread tastes borderline stale. I was very happy with the double chocolate cookie, hence an extra star in the rating. With my husband’s medium coffee, we paid $ 15, but the meal was not on par with the price. I will give it one more try, but it’s going to take me awhile to muster up the interest.

Bread and Company has renovated their interior and streamlined their menu. The interior décor looks clean and trendy, but I hate the new menu. Before, you could customize your sandwich, salads, and the side options were plentiful. Now, one is limited to the pre-designed sandwich options that are too artisanal and even more expensive than the original Bread and Company. I’ve since switched to Which Wich down the street.

I work in the office building above B&CO and used to eat here 2 or 3 times a week for lunch. The new interior is fantastic. The way you order food has been improved greatly. I just don’t like the new menu. I really miss the ability to order a customized sandwich. They made the best sandwiches ever. The new food is is still high quality, but it isn’t what I want. The vegetarian options are very limited too. I rarely eat here now unfortunately.

My office gets catering from here and I have called to ask about vegan options. There are NOVEGANOPTIONS, at all. You can make your own salad, but no dressings are vegan. I really hope this changes. Until then, I will encourage my office to order from elsewhere.

Wow, what a difference the new layout makes! I would have given them 3 stars before the remodel. The ordering process is now centralized and clear, and you pay when you order and get a buzzer, similar to how Panera is set up. I never understood how they enforced people actually paying for their food with the old layout… The food is fresh and tasty(my go-to is the«something natural» pulled turkey sandwich and a fruit tea) and service is pretty quick. The new layout also makes for a much better atmosphere. It’s a bit on the pricey side for sandwich, but the ones I’ve had are huge and piled high with meat. Pro Tip:(Wait… Should I spread the word about my parking trick and risk it becoming less of a sure thing??) Parking in the lot is a beast no matter the time of day. Park in the 2525 Garage behind the complex and use the skywalk thing(level 3 of the garage maybe?) to get across without having to walk all the way around or going outside. It spits you out near the 2nd floor entrance to Barnes & Noble(RIP Borders) and you take an escalator down to street level next to Starbucks. Parking is free if you get your ticket validated by Bread & Co., or free for 30 mins without validation.

BEWARE! This used to be one of my absolute favorite places in Nashville, despite the prices being high. I still came here all the time and spent a fortune because it was ALWAYS worth it for the great food. Since the last time I was here, they have completely redone the entire restaurant and NOT for the better. There is no longer any place where you can make you’re own sandwich, salad, etc. All of my favorite things on the menu are gone. It’s incredibly disappointing. I just went in to get food and just decided to leave and go somewhere else. I won’t be coming back anytime soon, unless I hear news that things are changing back to at least similar to how they used to be. And I’ll for sure be telling every other Bread & Company fan that I know that it’s not worth it anymore. So sad.

Food is still excellent, but this is not a place where you should wait over 30 minutes for your food. Until they figure out their new serving/buzzer/waiting system, I will not be returning. Sub-par would be a compliment. Disorganized doesn’t even begin to describe. The new décor looks great, but that’s not why anyone goes to Bread and Co. They have tried to fix what was not broken, and by doing so, they broke it.

I have to give props to this Bread & Co. Longtime customer at the former Belle Meade and Green Hills locations. This one has not lost its mojo like the other locations did towards the end. Can’t beat a half customized sandwich and cup of their awesome creamy tomato basil soup for $ 8.00. Their classics like their soup, chicken salad and made to order salads and sandwiches offer fresh ingredients and premium add on options, and are moderately priced. I will say the variety of baked goods has gone down hill. They used to have a full case and now it’s sparse and without classics like regular chocolate chip cookies.(At least on my visit) Anxious for the Green Hills location to get started on build out. Will definitely make the trek here for a good quality brunch or lunch.

One of my favorite lunch places around my apartment! They have great salad and sandwich options. I always get the Strawberry Fields salad with grilled chicken, and my boyfriend always builds his own salad. He loves the chicken salad on top! The salads are a good size — they actually fill me up! Not the cheapest lunch around. My salad comes out to about $ 13. BUT the Sesame Vinaigrette is one of the best dressings I’ve ever had! I crave the strawberry salad with that dressing. Just found out at my last visit that they actually sell the dressing, so I’ll definitely be getting that!

I had a cinnamon bagel with lox and cream cheese. It came with cucumbers, tomatoes, capers and red onions. I did like having the extras but it was extremely difficult to eat. Not something you could take on the road. The bagel was sort of pricey 10.99.

I normally don’t write too many updated reviews but must do so for this one. I love the strawberry fields salad here, especially with the sesame dressing. I’ve been eating this salad since college, for over 8 years, yes, it’s that good, or it used to be that good. Last night, I picked up the salad and noticed that everything was different. Honey pecan chicken salad was runny, blue cheese crumbles had a weird taste, and the worst part… the sesame dressing was just oil, it had no acidity and barely any sesame taste. I am SO disappointed. What happened?! I am probably not going back again.
