I’ve been so pleased with Randy Barker’s customer service. No matter how good the quality of a product, the service one receives during the interaction is so important. He and his team are personable, kind, helpful and knowledgable. I especially love that they make no remark on the price range with which you’re comfortable — Whatever your price range, that’s what he works within. Randy sold my husband my engagement ring, and he sold the both of us our wedding bands. We’ve had this jewelry for three or four years now, and I took my engagement ring this week for its prongs to be tightened, the first time I’ve needed any extra care. No fee accompanied this work, and they cleaned my ring so it looks brand-new again. Barker Diamond Company’s selections range from simple and classic to ornate and gorgeous. My rings fall into the former — they’re thin and delicate, and I feel happy wearing them. While I’m not a big jewelry fan, I’m so glad that the two pieces of jewelry I do have are so perfect and accompanied by the personality and quality of Barker Diamond.

I heard of Randy through word of mouth. I knew about 10 couples that had gone to Randy for their engagement rings. First, I noticed that all his rings had a similar look to them — lots of metal and very sturdy, but I thought that was the style these couples liked. While my Husband and I were looking for rings we worked with Randy for about 2 months. Randy was very forgetful. A couple of times he told me that he would look for a specific shape of diamond and show us pictures for our next appointment.(2 weeks later) When we came to the next appointment Randy forgot we even had an appointment and hadn’t done anything and didn’t seem to care much about the fact that he forgot. I sent him about 10 images of rings/styles I liked. When he did show us a few things they were not close to what I was looking for, that went on for weeks. The type of rings that I liked are really delicate looking rings with thin bands and Randy only wants to make really bulky huge rings that do not appeal to me. He tried to talk me out of what I wanted about 90% of the time. He was very set in his ways and did talk at great lengths. I don’t feel like he understood what I was looking for… period, or even tried to understand. We wasted our time. After I went to Randy and was so frustrated I went back to some of the couples and asked them about his follow through and forgetfulness. They confirmed that he had forgotten or not followed through on things here and there but that overall they were happy with the product. I think it comes down to — I just didn’t like his pieces and he couldn’t step outside his comfort zone. The people who did were willing to deal with the hiccups.

Definitely the people I will go to for any future jewelery needs! I searched the town for a reputable dealer and discovered that it truly is a jungle out there! Mr Barker so kindly took over an hour of his time educating me on my first visit. My experience here was nothing but a win-win deal. It was clear that Mr Barker prides himself on making a deal that is the best in market for his clients while still maintaining adequate margins to keep the lights on – NOT like the other guys out there who try to milk you dry and deliver no value! Mr & Mrs Barker, you and your business are truly a refreshing breath in an industry rife with greed and deceit! Many thanks for what you do!

I created this Unilocal account to review Randy Barker Diamonds. Word of mouth is a powerful tool. This man develops relationships, and I am telling everyone I know how wonderful he is at his job. He was informative(I know more about diamonds now than I ever hoped to know). He was fair(He knew my budget and did not try to oversell or overcharge me). He was personal(He took the time to get to know me and my girlfriend, now fiancée). He was sincere(I could tell that my ring was a special project for him, not just another sale). I will be giving him more business in the future for all of these reasons. Potentially wedding bands, wedding gifts, and anniversary gifts. I could not be more pleased. And more importantly, my fiancée could not be more pleased with the finished product. It is absolutely stunning! Thanks, Randy and Lorraine!

We can hardly say enough about our experience with Lorraine and Randy. Their expertise and attention to detail have continued to draw us back for business. They not only have beautiful jewelry, but have excellent customer service. Compared with other jewelers in the area, they are the best! Great prices, great care for their customers and they consistently care for any needs we have regarding past purchases– including cleaning our rings any time we stop by the shop as a courtesy. Shop at Barker Diamond… you’ll not be disappointed!

There aren’t enough good things I can say about Randy and his family. After my visit to the big diamond store in Nashville, I was left frustrated and annoyed. Thankfully I found Randy and the results were awesome. First off, Randy showed me several loose diamonds and gave me some great information about diamonds. The experience of seeing an inclusion under the scope adds a whole new understanding to clarity. The great thing about the process was that he talked with me about diamonds BEFORE trying to find out about my budget. In previous experience(and echoed by others), the store hears your budget and then pushes you past it. If you say $ 1,000, they’re going to show you $ 1,500 rings. Randy simply wanted me to enjoy the buying process. Randy didn’t find out my budget until we had talked for quite a while. Once I told Randy my budget, he ordered several stones for me to look through that fit my price range. The selection was great and the service was even better. I was working on a short time frame and they came through on time. Talking with Randy made the process fun again. Diamonds are really interesting once you get past the price tag. Also I should mention that I got a great price. But honestly, that almost felt like the least important part(and believe me, my budget was important!). It’s like paying to get your car fixed. If you don’t have a clue what the mechanic is doing, how can you really know if you’re getting a good deal? If the mechanic takes time to explain what he’s doing, you feel much better paying for the repairs. I have complete confidence that I got a great deal on a great diamond. When I look at the ring on my fiancée’s finger, I have a good feeling. I know exactly where the inclusion is(even though it’s invisible to the naked eye). I saw the super tiny laser inscription with my own eyes. I’ve seen the stone under a magnifying glass from every angle. I’m not wondering if I got ripped off. And that’s worth a lot to me. If you want a great ring AND a great experience, go see Randy. Set aside half an hour or so and just go chat about diamonds. You’ll be glad you did.
