I got a dry wall put up for my office to convert it into a bedroom. The guys who showed up after a couple of days were Hispanic and did not understand English (It was a herculean task for me to tell them what i needed done). I was disappointed and asked for a person who understood English.
She sent in James who is good at Drywall, plumbing, painting, electrical and all the other stuff. I was pleased with James and i knew he understood the job well. I gave in for $ 2,000 to get the dry wall up, painted and a door installed. It took about 12 days for the job to be done completely. The 2,000 dollars was just for labor as i supplied all the material needed. The dry wall & panting was well done.
However $ 2000 was a lot for labor to just do a dry wall :-(Wish i could have saved some money by finding a cheaper, reliable contractor.

Excellent handyman service. I called about a plumbing issue and they went above and beyond to get the job done that same day. Price and service were outstanding.

And to finish up my 1-​star reviews of the night: Andy On Call — short of it is they sent someone out who didn’t know what he was doing and wouldn’t leave when I told him I was not going with them.
Story takes place in 2007 or 2008
They sent out a guy to replace a busted pane of glass (10 inches by 10 inches). He measured the glass, he asked where the nearest place to get materials was (I should have known this was a bad sign at that point) he asked if I was going to be supplying the glass, I asked him at this point if he knew where any local glass place was and he said no.
He made a call, looked something up on a chart, and gave me an estimate of $ 730.
I told him that was insane and that I was not going with his company. He offered to do the job off the company’s dime for $ 300, I told him to leave. He kept coming down on the price and it was about 250 and the guy would still not leave — basically it came down to me telling him I was going to have him escorted off the property if he did not leave.
I called the place, left a message for them to call me back, they did and left a message that that was not the right price. No «we’ll send someone out who knows what they’re doing», no «whoops, that was a mistake we’re sorry about that» no «we’ll make it right»
Called around, just went with Window World to replace the entire window — $ 200, looked good. Average price I found to replace a pane was about $ 50.

I called them yesterday to see if they could come out to replace a few shingles that had blown off of my roof. The lady who answered the phone was very pleasant, took my info and told me that a contractor would call me. I figured it would be a few days, but I was wrong. The phone rang about 20 minutes later, and the roofer said he could be at my house the very next morning. Sure enough, he was there when he said he would be there (actually a few minutes early), and got the job done fast.
There is a $ 90 minimum, which is what I paid, but I was happy to have the shingles back up before the rain came this afternoon.
A+ all the way.
