2 Danes

I gotta tell you — I’m pretty unhappy with the misleading advertising and customer service today at 2 Danes. I’ve purchased many items in the past and always been very happy. Specifically their delivery and installation services are fantastic.
Today; however, was a different story. First of all — I’ve always thought a floor model sale meant that you were buying the actual floor model for better for or for worse in order to make room for new inventory. After purchasing a «floor model sale» shelf, which I specifically indicated I was expecting to buy the floor model upon checking out at the register. A few moments later I was surprised to find the 2 Danes folks hauling a boxed, unassembled product my way. When I told the lady I thought I was buying the actual floor model she brushed me off by saying that this is «easy to assemble» and proceeded to shove it in my car before basically running back into the store, grabbing the base, shoving it in my hands and running back in. At that point in time I probably should have marched back into the store and returned it. But I didn’t.. .and now I have a lovely, insanely heavy packaged 6 foot shelf that can’t lift out of my SUV on my own, nevermind maneuver up the steps to my house.
I should have purchased this SAME shelf on Amazon for $ 150 less. Yes, I would still have to assemble it but at least it would have arrived on my porch and saved a lot of time, trouble and money.
2 Danes — I think you and I are done.

update here… got the call earlier today that my replacement parts were in after telling them tuesday morning about what was up. i guess it’s just as much a testament to how bad ass bdi is, but this made me like these people even more. gwarn, 2danes.

2 Danes is a contemporary furniture store that is located off of White bridge road. The furniture is a bit on the modern/​contemporary side. All of the furniture is really high quality and a lot of the pieces have bright colors. One of the guys that worked there showed me around and showed me some really cool couches. They had a nice big dark leather couch that I sat on, it was really comfortable and you could tell the leather was really high quality. The furniture is pretty well priced for the quality.

One day I will have a contemporary house perfect for furniture from 2 Danes. I’ll also have the money necessary to buy the furniture from 2 Danes.
It’s a contemporary, Euro-​style (Scandinavian) furniture store which is not a huge store by any means, but they manage to hit all the rooms of the house. I went here just looking for inspiration to furnish my house, and the store gave me some great ideas. They also had a fantastic round bed just like you’ve always wanted.
There are some smaller pieces and some décor items you can pick up. There are only a handful of unusual furniture stores in Nashville, so if you’re looking for something different 2 Danes is a good stop.
