Revisiting this store 6 months later, my prior observations have been shown to be entirely correct(for somebody with my shopping habits and who reads the particular authors I read)… I acknowledge that the store’s selection is still decent, and it is well organized(better now, they’ve changed the layout a bit since my list visit). The prices are still entirely reasonable, with used books running half cover price(some below that). That’s entirely fair, though still looks poor in a town with one of those«Used Book Superstores». That being said, I didn’t find a darn thing I needed. I cleared the place out of books of interest to me on my prior visit 6 months before and didn’t find anything new. A few things that would have been of interest if I didn’t already own them. I picked up a book I’d passed up on my prior visit 6 months before that was still there. The place is nice enough, but I guess it just doesn’t work so well for somebody with my particular reading tastes and habits.

I recently purchased some books for my daughter’s kindergarten class. Not only did The Book Cellar have 22 copies of the out of print book I was looking for, their service was great. Katie was very helpful in working with me and their shipping dept to find an economical way to ship the books quickly and efficiently. Although I live in California, I would definitely go by their store if I lived closer.
