Texas Roadhouse is good, not great. Suitably named for the ambience, it has a young vibe to it. When you first walk in you are asked over loud music if you would like to select your steak from a glass case. I usually get the rib eye steak with mushrooms and onion, «loaded» potato and a veggie and it’s good… just not great. The waitstaff are great.

Remember as a child when you would move around the food on your plate to make it seem like you consumed more than you actually did? Well that just happened. The food was so bad we were laughing out loud. The«award winning» ribs were cold and looked under cooked and words cannot describe the rice. The Bloody Mary was literally all mix– I think I’m more hungover now. Thankfully the bartender was very nice! Now sitting at Chili’s next door.

Very Good service, but the food didn’t impress me They really do put it quite a bit of effort to make you happy. There was a wait, and one of the pluses of this place is it is very spacious, you may not be waiting long. I went on a Wednesday night and waited about 15 minutes, I’d say. The manager showed me the raw steaks I could pick while I was waiting(they have them in a display case) While seated you have the choice of a big bucket of shelled(you have to unshell them yourself) and a cinnamon-butter(I believe) bread. The waitress asked if I had been there before, I said no and they made every effort to make me happy. I ordered a sirloin(I believe) and a salad with thousand island dressing. The thing is, none of the food really jumped out at me, it was pretty mundane, almost even bland. The bread is very creative, but I wouldn’t want it for dinner, I’d rather have it as a dessert. Joe’s bread is better. The place is pretty much just a glorified Longhorn steakhouse(and I think Longhorn and Outback and better)

Food is okay. Not great. There isn’t much of a selection. The rolls with cinnoman and sugar butter are fabulous, but rolls can’t carry a steakhouse. It’s loud, dirty and the theme seems cheesy now. It’s a shame that the food doesn’t taste as good as it smells from the parking lot. The Margheritas are decent, though seemily lacking in tequila. I’m not sure if they used to be better or if I was less picky in my 20’s. Either way, the only time I go here is if my husband wants to. He likes it better than I do. I think it’s the rolls.

Wow this place is really bad waiting for your meal way to long, they way under cooked my wife’s steak to the point why even put it on the grill, I ordered a burger and they burned one side really bad the roll was awful plus they just threw the burger together everything on the bottom, they forgot the mayo. Never again are we going to this place, the worst restaurant ever 4 other tables around us all sent the food back not a good sign in my book.

I love this place. Nothing better in the bitter cold to get a nice grilled steak and a hot baked potato. Have never waited more than 15 minutes for a table and the rolls are amaaaaazing.

Great atmosphere great service great food… The margaritas were great the appetizers were great. I got the country fried sirloin and it was mouth watering. Only downside is everything comes out on separate plates so there was no room on the table but other than that. A+

We are«regulars» very happy with the service. Best steaks around, my favorite is the filet. Price is reasonable.

We had 4 adults and 2 children in our party. When we were being seated my husband asked the hostess if we could get a booster chair for the 2 yr old. She sounded so rude, she said«what do you need a chair for, you have six people and the booth seats six people». Ok, so she may not have heard him, but her tone was rude. The waitress we had was ok, but children are clearly not her thing. The food was ok, typical chain restaurant food. We will not go back, once is more than enough.

My wife and I LOVE the Texas Road House! It’s one of our absolute favorite restaurants in the area. The people are friendly and personable and they do a great dance routine which makes me smile every time. When ever we go, we ALWAYS get the mild boneless buffalo wings. I’m pretty sure I’m addicted to those things. I do have to say though that the food isn’t always the most consistent. I always get the same thing evertime I go and there have been times that I’ve been disappointed with the food and other times my food was perfect. Other than that I would definitely recommend going and I plan on going again.

I love peanuts, so this place is cool for that reason alone. The small portion steaks are a really good deal and believe it or not you can have a healthy, tasty, and pretty cheap meal here.

Had dinner here last night & will definitely be going back. Started out with the combo platter appetizer, and had the BBQ chicken with a caesar salad and loaded mashed potatoes for dinner. The food was excellent but the service was even better. Courtney was such an awesome waitress, she had great timing taking orders & bringing out our food, and she was also very funny!

Hubbie says, «Tender steak cooked to perfection!»(Quite a compliment coming from a professional chef.) I love the ambience and can’t wait to return. Hope we can meet friends here.

Great environment. Drink selection is excellent. Great place to come w/friends or a significant other. I’m not sure if this would be the best place for a first date due to the noise level. It is pretty loud. But lots of fun going on and liveliness to keep you stimulated and entertained. Like many others I come here mainly for the rolls & cinnabutter ;-) From the dinner menu I always order the country fried chicken plus Caesar salad + sweet potato w/cinnabutter as sides. Over the summer I had visited the Leominster location(after not having been to a Texas Roadhouse in many, many years) so I could not remember what the deal was with the rolls — whether they’d give you seconds or not. I was silently disappointed when the waiter at that location took away the first empty roll basket without asking if we’d like more. However I thought maybe that was just the protocol. So needless to say at the Nashua location I was very thrilled when our waiter asked if we’d like more rolls! Woo! I said YESPLEASE! My boyfriend just shook his head at me and said, «you’re eating them all!»(He makes fun of me for being a carb-addict.) Sure enough I filled up on rolls and couldn’t finish my dinner. Took advantage of the call-ahead seating, arrived a little earlier than our designated time but still only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated(walk-ins were being told a 40-minute wait) so that worked well for us. Of course, loved the ample peanuts provided for munching & making a mess on the floor. Yeeee haw!

I’ve never had a bad meal or experienced bad customer service here. I absolutely LOVE the ribs and get them almost every time we eat there. They serve the freshly made bread with a sweet cinnamon butter that is to die for! I enjoy the little dance performances that the staff puts on throughout the meal. The drinks are good as well. Like I said, not a bad word from this girl! :)

Yee-haw cowboys!!! If you’re looking for a nice, down-home steak for a reasonable price, then the Texas Roadhouse is the place for you. The call-ahead seating is the way to go, especially on the busy nights as you will avoid the heavy crowds. The service is quick, but not rushed and the servers are always attentive to the customer’s needs. Yes, the steaks aren’t what you would find at a fancy a la carte downtown steakhouse. But for under $ 20.00 you can get a great steak with two sides. I recommend the New York Strip Steak with a loaded baked potato and side garden salad. And as for the kids, the Andy’s Steak can’t be matched. My only complaint is their heavy handedness of the salt. In fact, I think there is more salt at the Texas Roadhouse than in the Great Salt Lake. They ought to call it the Dead Sea Roadhouse. Less anyone think you’ll get a better meal at the Outback, you won’t. The Texas Roadhouse is the place to go for a good, quality, affordable steak.

If your looking for a «quiet» or «intimate» atmosphere or something«healthy» — just stop reading now. To those who are left — let’s talk MEAT! Texas Roadhouse is loud and usually crowded. Peanuts on the floor — waitstaff dancing, patrons yelling«yee-ha!» for peoples’ birthdays, etc. Steaks are pretty good. They advertise them as «hand cut», and indeed there is never and fat or inedible parts. Sounds strange to say — but for an inexpensive place, their steaks rival much more expensive places, both chain and non-chain. One if their best items are their ribs. I’m not a huge rib guy because I usually find them fatty and greasy — but not a the Roadhouse. Good cut if meat — well cooked — great sauce. The rolls are always fresh and hot out of the oven and served with cinnamon butter. Surprisingly, I find the salads there to be among my favorite anywhere. Not the healthiest option in world — but for a decent steak at a great price — it’s the place to go.

I had a late Friday night dinner with a buddy visiting from NY. We decided to stop in here around 10PM. The place was still busy, but there was no wait to be seated. The hostess offered us to pick out a steak from the glass case and carried over a basket of hot sweet rolls & cinnamon butter before we were seated. My buddy(country music fan) loves eating at Texas Roadhouse whenever he can since there are no locations in the Albany NY area, which is «nuts» since there are many country music fans in that area. Anyways, we munched on some free peanuts(not much left in the bucket) as we waited for our server to come over. We started out with a Coors Light($ 3.25) and a Diet Coke($ 2.49) as we were deciding what to order. For dinner, my buddy ordered the Sirloin Beef Tips($ 11.49) tender beef tips sautéed mushrooms, onions, brown gravy & sour cream served over seasoned rice and he got a nice Caesar salad before his dinner. I ordered the Grilled BBQ Chicken($ 9.99) a marinated ½ lb. breast basted in a very sweet BBQ sauce with two sides, a House Salad with Low Fat Ranch dressing and a Cup of Chili topped with shredded cheese & onions. The portions of food for the price was quite good and the food was tasty. The service was standard. It took a few moments to place our dinner order and the entrees arrived to us in acceptable time(15 minutes after ordering). The waitress gave me a Diet Coke refill(without me asking) as I finished the first round. However, it took a while to get the check since it was the end of the night and the waitress was very busy cashing out other tables. I would come back to the Nashua location if I’m in the area, but the Methuen, MA location is much closer to my home and the meals tax is lower there(7%). .
