First experience was bad, this wasn’t any better. My family first visited NYAJ’s soon after it opened and had a very frustrating experience. It’s been a while and thought we’d give it another shot; this for a birthday. Just like before, our table was not ready when the reservation said it was. Had to wait about 20 minutes, not good. We got seated and our waitress, the best part of our experience, was very attentive. We ordered and every entrée except mine arrived and this being on father’s day, you would think that the men wouldn’t be forgotten. I waited several minutes while the rest of our party began to eat. No mention of my missing entrée until I commented to our waitress. She was alarmed and went immediately to the kitchen to see what was up. After a couple minutes, she brought my entrée, looking smaller than expected without one of the items. One of the managers came over and apologized that they had run out of my side item. Looks to me like the kitchen and their system needs work, especially on a day like Father’s Day, where you’d think they would be extra attentive. They did take my item of the check, which was appreciated. We finished our meals and I must say that even though the food wasn’t spectacular the first time we were here, it has gone downhill. I had the steak tips, which were dry without much flavor. The tuna wontons had really gone downhill, with little flavor and dry. What I don’t get is how do you call yourself NOT an average joe, when your food quality isn’t even average. My wife’s Salmon, she said, was one of the worst she has had in a long time. She didn’t even finish it and didn’t want to take what was left home. On top of that both her and I had stomach aches that night and into the morning. What gives? Clear to me that NYAJ’s in Nashua is charging above average prices while going cheap on the ingredients. This is no path for success. Finally, we were a party of 7, and it was impossible to hear anyone else besides the person next to you because of the noise level in the restaurant. Very frustrating. Visited June 2016

Love this place! They have one of the biggest gluten free menus around and their food is delicious!

First: they have a scratch kitchen and are super accommodating to allergies and such. We stopped in to get dinner one night and didn’t regret a second of it. The food was great, good service. And the whole place had a really nice atmosphere. I highly recommend their meatloaf or even their salads, and definitely save space for dessert(the«peanut butter thing» sounded delicious but the food was so good we couldn’t eat another bite). Highly recommend.

I didn’t know what to expect but as soon as I walked in I loved it, the décor is perfect. We were greeted at our table right away and the service was wonderful all night. From the delicious dipping bread to the chocolate cake dessert, all was phenomenal. We also met the manager, Justin, and he couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive too all of the customers. I am already looking forward to going back.

Pretty average chain restaurant, actually. The cheese steak egg rolls were bland… piccata tasted like something I got in the freezer case at Market Basket. Long wait time also.

Very good food, and very good service! Our server Kate, I believe was very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. Meat loaf was out of this world!

Absolutely phenomenal meal late last night… Pork Shank was amazing… Salad and Flatbread App spot on… Service was great. Chain stores are generally a flop… Quite the opposite here… Will definitely be back…

For me, Not Your Average Joes was just«Average». We arrived around 9pm on Friday night and was quoted a 15 minute wait which was really only about 10. Good start so far. We were seated and a waitress came over to take our drink order and stated she was helping out our waitress who would be over shortly. All in all, a good start service wise. I’m more of a «picky eater» so not much on the menu appealed to me. They had meatloaf which I typically order when on the menu but it was stuffed with mozzarella cheese which really isn’t my thing. There was a chicken dish that may have been good, but wasn’t into trying a $ 15 dish that I may or may not like so I opted for the steak tips. For $ 17 I thought the portion was a bit small(4 steak tips, potatoes, and green beans). the potatoes and green beans portions were reasonable but I was expecting more steak tips. Our food was brought out by someone other than our waitress(someone from the kitchen?). We didn’t have forks on the table so had to wait a couple minutes for our waitress to come by and ask how everything was. We told we didn’t have forks so she ran to the kitchen, got forks, but 1 was dirty so had to run back and get another. We sat near the bar and there were some fruit flies flying around. I know this happens around bars, but was a little off putting. Hopefully they cover the bottles at night! My wife ordered a couple of drinks this time and said they seemed a little on the weak side. Perhaps just the drink she ordered. They did have an extensive amount of beers on tap but not sure the food/menu is good enough to bring me back. As I said, more of just an average experience. Not terrible but certainly not the«wow, I really can’t wait to go back there» experience I was hoping for.

Not your average joes. I would definitely agree. 5 minutes before even making eye contact from bartender in a ¼ full bar. Thai chicken wraps should be called chicken salad wraps, add rice vinegar and cilantro. Same for summer rolls and hard as a rock cold focaccia. Great décor, promise, but needs a serious tune up. I left two of the three wraps in eaten on my plate. The bartender cleared it and never asked if I had a problem with them. Name needs to be changed to Joe’s below average. Given the rest of the surrounding choices, I can see why it has 4+ stars. Plus it was nearly $ 40 for two small apps and two beers.

Had dinner here last night. Everything was amazing, as usual. The service, the food, the atmosphere, all of it. I ordered the chicken piccata and it was perfect. Not too dry, not too oily. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food. Our server kept our glasses full and she was really nice. If you’re looking for good food at a reasonable price, I recommend this place.

Greet customer service. Devon was a superb waitress. My sage pecan salmon was a little oily but apart from that the dish was great and fresh. Their version of buffalo tenders was amazing

We had a few poor experiences in the last week with takeout, the most recent one getting home after a 25 minutes drive each way with a baby to find out the hostess gave us someone else’s order. We spoke to a manager who handled the situation amazing. He asked what he could do to make the situation better and I told him if we are going to drive all that way again, we would like our money back and the original order we placed. He was more than happy to do that for us. He was very apologetic and certainly wants to please his customers. Hey, mistakes happen, but this was the second time in one week we had a bad experience at this location which is why we were so upset. Needless to say, the food is always amazing and because of the outstanding manager last night, I am giving it 4 stars.

Wonderful chain in general with consistency of food quality and menu selection. This particular one opened in Nashua about a year ago in what used to be Pier One. The space is totally inviting with tall open ceilings exposing the piping and a color scheme and low lighting making for a relaxing and more upscale yet still casual atmosphere. It’s definitely a venue in which I would want to head to for just drinks after work and maybe gussie up a bit more than the total casual look I’m used to donning. Ordered one of my new favs — a flatbread with brussel sprouts and butternut squash. Yes, you heard me right — brussel sprouts on flatbread. Oh, and carmelized onions, too. This is just the right size and so delectable. And, the bread and cheesy oil dipping sauce? Makes me want to lick the dish but I refrained. Normally, I’d rate it 4 stars. It is a chain, after all. But, the space is not your average Joe’s space and not your average chain décor. This place with ambiance, food quality, price, and service deserves 5 stars. Can’t think of a single flaw.

Many of their food items feature onion or garlic but you CAN ask for the dishes to be made without(which for food allergy folk like me, that makes a huge difference!!) I ordered the herb crusted haddock– it was delicious. Good food, great service. Will def be going back again soon.

Sooo glad this restaurant opened in Nashua because I have become addicted. Literally everything I’ve had here is top notch. I am so picky about my margaritas — their’s are some of the best! Good beer selection, amazing happy hour specials and the best bread and oil while you wait for your food. I’ve had steak tips, buffalo Caribbean tenders, calamari, nachos, sliders(mustard chicken is the best one), Sante fe chicken pizza, beer braised clams, and it is all fantastic. Above all, my favorite this is the butternut squash flatbread — I’m obsessed. It sounds a bit weird with the toppings, but I promise you won’t be disappointed. We’ve become regulars here and usually stick to apps and drinks during happy hour. Service is ALWAYS phenomenal so I always make it a point to take their survey at the end of our visit. Easily one of the best restaurants around.

Came here for lunch with my 2 daughters. Very nice restaurant. Sat outside on a warm October afternoon. We all had salads and a beer. They were ALL very good with nice fresh ingredients. I try not to go to chain restaurants, but this one’s a keeper. I would not hesitate to return!

The only miss was the calamari. I am used to Legal Seafood version, fresh. This one was rubbery… like previously frozen. The fresh foccacia bread makes it worth skipping the appetizer. It’s 3 inches thick! I ordered the salmon, Brussels sprouts and whipped sweet potato dish. Those added all my three favorite foods! It was cooked to order medium rare(they offer that any fish gets cooked to order). I liked that they served Tazo tea as well. The service was really great as well.

I had lunch here a couple weeks ago with my mom and sister. Our server was so nice and very attentive. They have a great outdoor patio that we sat on. The food is all made fresh, which I appreciate(no frozen ingredients). All three of us enjoyed a beer and salad. The décor inside is really nice. There are several other items on the menu that looked appealing. I’ll be back.

This is a nice location. I’ve been to the location in Methuen, but this one seemed better. Atmosphere: It was quite quaint, a good place to bring a date, even if it was just for drinks. I hear the Moscow Mule is pretty good, so that’s what I plan to try next time, just drinks. Service: Came here for lunch with friends on a Sunday. 4 – 5 minute wait. Not bad at all. Our waitress gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and checked up on us and refilled our drinks every now and then. Food: I ordered the three cheese pistachio pizza-it was a white pizza, was good, but wasn’t whoaaaa this is great! Also had the tomato soup as well, it was great! The bread was really good too, a nice accessory to my soup! Price: The pizza was about $ 12 and the soup was about $ 4-$ 5. I’d say fairly priced. Not like I would eat here all the time. Conclusion: I will try this spot again, but maybe just for drinks and some appetizers.

«Ooooh lordy, trouble so hard.» That was my reaction when looking at the menu and trying to make a decision, as it was jammed with amazing sounding, freshly prepared dishes. Surprisingly, I ended up going with the Southwest Burger based on our sprightly and incredible server Stephanie’s recommendation. The burger was cooked perfectly medium-rare and the heaping mound of onion thing-a-ma-bobs were a nice accompaniment. My wife got a delicious goat cheese salad that has all the fixins and we opted to start with the edamame dumplings. Please, try them! Then there were the cocktails. Well executed my friends. I amended the Moscow mule because Vlad Putin is a bum(sorry, not sorry) and ordered a Kentucky Mule(bourbon instead of vodka)…delicious. Also, the Bourbon Lemonade was a great cocktail to start with! And then there was Stephanie. What else can be said except that I was totally blown away by her. She took a very, very good experience and made it memorable. Good work kiddo!
