Nice place with good atmosphere. My app, escargot, that was wonderful. Unfortunately, my Seafood Sophia that I had ordered for my main dish came out luke warm. There were 5 of us and all of our meals came out at the same time and all of the other means were hot. I worked in kitchens years ago so i understand how they work. So I couldn’t believe mine would come out look warm. I’m going to assume it was kept under a heat lamp for a while, of course I sent it back. What really annoyed me was my food was only back in the kitchen for less than 5 minutes. This tells me they just tried to reheat it. I’m sorry, you can’t reheat seafood without it becoming chewy. The issue was the food didn’t even come back hot. It was warmed to luke warm again. I sent that food back also. I was really looking forward to the meal once I saw it on the online menu so to have the food treated that way was very disappointing. The manager did finally come to our table and offer to make a new meal for me. This was a nice gesture but by that time everyone else at the table was almost finish their meals so in my book it was too late. I didn’t pay for the meal and they gave everyone at the table free desert. This helped make up for it but this is their first strike in my book. One more and I’ll never go there again.

Went there tonight. Messed up my drink times 2. Seafood Fra Diavlo was gross. Sauce tasted like it was out of a can. Server was nice but not skilled. Never read us the specials. Definitely, won’t be back. Bring back Villa Banca. So much better.

First the food. I ordered the seafood fra diavlo over linguini and it had a good mix of scallop, shrimp and some lobster. The red, fra diavlo sauce was tasty and, as expected, spicy, however, it was quite sugary sweet. I asked the waiter if they added sugar to the red sauce and he confirmed with the ktichen that they do. If you like pasta dishes that taste like dessert you’ll love this dish. As for me, I don’t expect my entrée to taste like dessert. If it was just the entrée sugar issue, I would still give them a second chance and order something else the next time, however, strike 2 was the service. Although service was pleasant, it was obvious they wanted to turnover our table as quickly as possible. The food arrived in less than 5 minutes after the waiter took our order. The two entrees were delivered to our table, even before the breadsticks arrived. Even McDonalds doesn’t serve you that fast! The final straw was the table cleaner getting to work while we were still putting our coats on.

Went here recently with my in-laws for a little early dinner over Christmas break, we went to dinner for 4 after a little snow so it was dead. Usually we go to the north end over our vacation, but seeing as we had the little one we chose somewhere closer, poor us! The good: Our server, I forget her name, but she was a younger girl and she did a nice job handling our table and dealing with food requests and allergies. The bad: The food: the food as simply not good, it didn’t taste good it wasn’t season well it was just bad food. The only passable item was the appetizer which was cured meats and cheese, and since the chefs didn’t have to cook or season it I guess it was okay. My wife ordered baked haddock and she said it was bland and uninspired, she was disappointed. I ordered the North Ender which came with sausage and meatball(which I was excited for) and also breaded chicken. It ALL somehow was bad, besides the pasta which I ate because I was hungry. The sausage was uncased, but not sweet nor hot just a bland sausage, the meatball tasted bad and was not seasoned with anything it seemed. The chicken was not tender and I sat disappointed and cried(not really but what the heck). I really wouldn’t recommend coming here, unless they have cheap drinks at the bar.

Not to impressed overall. I only sat at the bar and had some calamari but it was the worst I have ever had. I was surprised when it came out I thought they gave me the wrong dish at first. There were maybe 15 rings on the plate with no tentacles and also about 2lbs of pasta which I did not want nor expected to get. As I looked around at others food, every single dish was overloaded with pasta which I can only imagine is so they can keep cost down by giving you less of what you ordered. No plans on going back

As good as it gets for Italian in the Nashua area. We shared a cup of the sausage soup, scallops appetizer, pesto chicken, and the salmon. All were excellent. We we also got a cocktail from the winter menu called the Bulldog, which we had to fight over.

The food here is excellent. Big fan of the Lobster Mac and cheese and the Seafood fri deablo Atmosphere is good as well. Portions are a good money value. Best Italian in the area by far.

Come hungry. The portions here are ridiculous. I believe I ate a bathtub full of pasta last time I was here. Fratello’s is a decent little Italian place which personifies hearty portions. The quality of ingredients is about average, but you can always tell how good a place is by their sauce alone — and Fratello’s has a pretty darn good sauce. The meatballs, arancini, pasta, etc all get a good helping of red sauce to kick up the flavor. The Bolognese and diavolo sauce are also pretty decent. All in all, I will go back when I’m famished and try a few more things on the menu.

Nothing new or special here. Very heavy, fried, filling dishes I had the calamari and lasagna and my wife had the marguerita pizza. We had been to the Manchester location a few times and were underwhelmed there; and the new Nashua location is no exception. The previous restaurant at same location used better ingredients with better execution. They did not invest in décor and may be this is why they did not succeed here. At any rate, Fratellos Nashua is another disappointing downtown venture.

My husband and I stopped in tonight for the Happy hour offered Mon-Thurs(?) I have been in a few times before and have meant to review this establishment from past visits. The staff has always been very pleasant and accommodating. This evening I wrote down the names two team members whom; we especially appreciate from present and past service. Joshua and Danielle; both are defiantly top notch in their field of mixology and service. Our thanks go out to you both and the new owners for a great new place in downtown !! Regarding the food and beverage the prices are absolutely fantastic. The quality is beyond expectations. I truly feel from one foodie to another this is a stop worth making regardless the time or day you chose to visit. Thanks to Joshua and Danielle for such a Superb Evening out!

Very enjoyable overall! Very nice redo to the environment. superb service, great menu choices. My companion had an outstanding quality fillet, wonderful salads and a friend’s fra diavolo were very tasty. My primavera pasta with linguini was was a generous portion with fresh vegatables, but the pasta was slightly overcooked and white wine, olive oil and garlic was a little too watery. Overall, a very enjoyable evening and a very needed addition to the Nashua food scene.

My first experience with Fratellos and, probably, my last. I ordered takeout — Chicken Picatta — it was suggested by a co-worker. The girl on the phone who took my order was very nice. I told her I didn’t like linguine, asked for options, and settled on Angel Hair. I also asked for some grated cheese on the side. When I picked it up, it was ready & hot and smelled delicious in the car. When I opened it up, there were 2 good sized chicken cutlets and a mound of pasta with mushrooms and capers over the top. The 2 cutlets could have looked any more different from each other. One was pleaseantly browned and the other was totally not — in fact it was a pasty white. The browned cutlet was ok, but seemed very light on the seasoning and tasted somewhat bland. The unbrowned cutlet had uncooked flour that had congealed on it and tasted like eating paste — I stopped after one bite. How could they not notice that it wasn’t cooked enough, especially since they were placed right next to each and it was apparent to me as soon as I opened it. The pasta was overcooked and so completely bland tasting. Didn’t get my grated cheese at all and the rolls were warm, but tough. Really not impressed.

My family and I went here today, and we had a nice lunch. Some of the best items that we had included the white pizza with spinach(delicious — one of the best I’ve had in a while), and the Chicken Marsala, which was flavorful. The angel hair with bolognese sauce was just fine — a little light, and I’d probably get something else next time. Service was also very friendly, and they also have a bar with two large TVs so this seems like a chill spot for sports on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. And they have a few tables outside, very nice during the summer and early fall. Overall, I think this is a good choice for Italian in Nashua, with reasonable prices and some pretty nice options on their menu.

We found a parking space around the corner from Fratello’s Italian Grille so we were like we are craving pizza, why not try Fratello’s?!? At Fratello’s, you can pick from a variety of appetizers, a few soups, salad, seafood entrees, chicken /veal entrees, steak entrees, pasta entrees, sandwiches, and pizzas. The hostess greeted us as we entered the restaurant. She asked us whether we’d like to sit at a hi-top by the bar or a regular booth in the dining room. Shortly after we sat down, our server stopped by to take our drink orders. Since they had Coca Cola products, I decided to get an Arnold Palmer. My dad and mom shared a 22 oz Long Trail beer on tap. My dad described it as different, not too bitter, but acceptable. While waiting for our drinks, our server brought us a basket of freshly baked garlic bread rolls with three types of spreads /dipping sauces(freshly whipped butter, olive oil with crushed red pepper flakes, and sun-dried tomato cream cheese spread). There was so many items on this menu that it was hard to just pick one. In short, some of the dishes lacked flavor but my favorites included White Pizza with Spinach and Chicken Marsala. We shared the following: (1) Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms, which consisted of six mushroom caps stuffed with chopped seafood mix, served in a white china escargot dish, topped with melted mozzarella, and baked. It was not anything special to us. It also was a bit too cheesy for us. (2) Baked Escargot, which consisted of six escargot placed on top of baby spinach in a homemade garlic butter, served in a white china escargot dish, topped with melted mozzarella, and baked. It was also served with garlic toast points. I felt like the Baked Escargot lacked flavor /taste. As a result, it made me not want to order Escargot from an Italian restaurant ever again. (3) White Pizza, which was a 10″ hand tossed pizza brushed with garlic infused olive oil, topped with mozzarella, fresh parmesan, and garlic, and baked in a brick oven. Our server recommended adding baby spinach to it and I’d highly recommend this addition to anyone who orders the white pizza. (4) Chicken Marsala, which consisted of tender chicken breast, rolled in flour, sautéed with button mushrooms, garlic, marsala wine, and butter, and served over on linguine. Even though it was garlic buttery, it was a match made in heaven for garlic lovers. (5) Angel Hair Bologonese, which consisted of angel hair pasta topped with a homemade bolgonese sauce, The meat sauce had an abundant amount of ground beef /pork but it was very bland and did not have a strong tomato flavor.

I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews, but we tried it anyway and was very pleased. Atmosphere is bright and modern — a step up from the old Villa Banca. Food was all very good. I liked little preparation touches like how the red onion was sliced very fine in the salad, and the croutons appears to be from sliced sections of their breadsticks. Breadsticks were fresh-baked and served with assortment of Okay/spreads. Sausage soup was hearty and tasted great — could have been a meal in itself. All the entries were very good — chicken Parmesan was breaded and cooked perfectly. Quality of chicken was very good.

Fratello’s Italian Grille opened recently in Downtown Nashua, which is located at the corner of Main and E Pearl in the former Villa Banca restaurant. This is the third Fratello’s restaurant in NH, the other locations in Manchester and Laconia. The atmosphere at the Nashua location is casual and relaxed with fully carpeted dining areas/rooms with booths and tables and a full bar section with seating at and around the bar with large TVs. There is also outdoor seating in front of the restaurant on the Main Street sidewalk. The place seems much less old school than the Manchester location which is housed in an old mill building with two levels there. Offering lunch and dinner menus, the food offerings here are mainly Italian American fare including salads, soups, appetizers, paninis, pizza, pasta, steak, chicken, veal, desserts, kids menus and other specialties. Some of my favorites on the menu include the Seafood Sophia, Seafood Lasagna, Northender, Italian Pasta Pie, and their Antipasto is the best sampling appetizer in NHIMHO. The prices here are moderate, but not too expensive. I stopped here for lunch recently. I was promptly seated with the hostess giving me the option of bar area or dining room since I was solo. After I was seated in a booth in the dining room, the waiter arrived to take my drink order. I already knew what I wanted to order and placed my lunch order in too. I ordered the Fratello’s Pasta Special($ 10-Lunch) which included choice of pasta, marinara sauce, meatballs, and a house salad. The waiter brought out a basket of very chewy breadsticks plus orange cheese spread, butter, and olive oil(with seasonings) for dipping the breadsticks. The house salad had a mix of fresh lettuce, vine ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, red onions, shredded cheese, croutons, and a very creamy rich bleu cheese dressing on the side. The main entrée in a bowl was a generous portion of pasta(I chose bowtie pasta) cooked just right, topped with lots of thick marinara sauce and two large soft homemade meatballs. I finished my lunch, but I could not eat another bite of food and passed on the offer for dessert, just the check please. The waiter left the dessert menu with the check if I changed my mind. Overall, the food here was very good as I would expect for Fratello’s since I frequent the Manchester location quite a bit for dinner with my buddy. The service here was adequate and the food arrived to my table in prompt order. The waiter offered fresh cracked black pepper on the salad and fresh grated cheese on the pasta dish, and poured a refill on the ice water. This Fratello’s restaurant gives me another dining option in Downtown Nashua for tasty Italian American food in a casual and relaxed setting.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. It was busy for a Wednesday night, but that was not surprising for a new location. We called ahead to get on the seating list, but did not see our name on the list when we arrived. It didn’t matter as we were seated right away anyway. We like the décor and were seated in a large booth.(The people behind me got in and out of the booth several times throughout the course of the meal, which kept shaking the back of the booth. Annoying but tolerable.) The dining room was rather hazy. Apparently that is caused by smoke from the wood-fired pizza oven. It appears that maybe better ventilation is needed. Our waitress was pleasant, but not terribly outgoing. She did forget the lime with my wife’s San Pellegrino. She asked if we wanted to order an appetizer, and we said we were ready to place our whole order. We should have waited to order our entrees, because they came out while we were still working on the Tuscan Melt appetizer. The Tuscan Melt was quite tasty, but easier consumed with a fork than one’s hands. The plates for the appetizer were really too small, and it made cutting one’s food difficult. The breadsticks were quite good, and I particularly liked the accompanying accoutrements of butter, olive oil and herbs, and some sort of pimento spread. I ordered the Chicken Carbonara, and I thought it was delicious. The portion was very generous, and I took at least half of it home. My wife ordered Chicken Parmigiana. She enjoyed the chicken and sauce, but found that some of the penne was overcooked to the point of being mushy. There was a singer/guitarist in the bar area, which is not separated from the main dining area. I didn’t mind the music, but my wife thought it made conversation more difficult. We were too full for dessert. As we walked past the hostess station on our way out, none of the many restaurant personnel there acknowledged us. A simple«thank you» or «have a good night» goes a long way, and we both noticed the lack thereof. One can see that we are particular diners, and we had a lot of minor complaints, but overall we enjoyed our meal. Hopefully some of the issues we experienced are the typical glitches that a new location can be prone to. We would certainly consider returning, but honestly have to say that when we are in the mood for italian food in Nashua, we are more likely to go to Cucina Toscana.
