I Have been shopping at the Christmas Tree Shop stores for over 20 years and USE to love them. I have found their prices just keep going up and up and the quality of the stuff they sell just keeps getting worst and worst! I purchased small candy canes this year and actually found out when i got home they were made in China! I can only imagine what kind of things were in them! In the trash they went! It’s really a shame because I think this new company that purchased them a few years back will most likely drive them out of business.

This is the first time I’ve walked into a Christmas Tree Shop. I expected it to be just a Christmas store. In terms of Christmas décor, they have wreaths, door mats, stockings, gift sets, and nutcrackers. I was surprised to find general stuff such as hanging décor, bedding and bath, glassware, baking supplies, gift packaging supplies, cosmetic items, and snacks. The store was quite dusty and I knew I couldn’t stay there for long. I bought a cool Monopoly soup mug and mini pie kit.

This review is not about the store itself, per se. It’s the Christmas Tree Shop, what is there to say? This review is to highlight some extreme unprofessionalism I witnessed today. While waiting in line to pay, the head cashier had the cashier beside us turn off her light. She then came over, and quite loudly, presented the cashier with a written warning. I head every detail as it was explained to the cashier. I was horrified that such an unprofessional approach to a personnel issue was being held right in front of coworkers and customers. I then approached the head cashier to let her know and was told that is how they handle it. I explained that those issues should be handled away from the floor. She repeated that it was how they handle these issues and said that is why she had her turn her light off. I can’t imagine how the cashier feels. First getting written up in the first place, but to have it done so publicly. I will be posting this review to their Facebook page as well as emailing them. If this is indeed corporate policy, it needs to change. If it is just a store policy, they need to be made aware.

Haven’t been here in several years. They had great Holiday stuff no matter what the season — and still do, but I made a big mistake. I went there on Saturday! Crazy women with shopping carts. I was also surprised at how a quarter of the place was one big drugstore. Didn’t buy anything this time. The poor employees seemed overwhelmed. Think it might be worth a weekday trip so I could actually SEE what they have for sale without looking over a SEA of people.

The main thing you must realize about the Christmas Tree Shop is that it can be very hit or miss. You can never decide you need a tall glass vase for decorating your living room and go get it. They generally have tons. Today none. But I did find great dried flowers to put in the more expensive ones I bought later at Walmart. Today I had a delightful check out person. Other times not so much. But the rule of thumb is always start your shopping at the Christmas Tree Shop. If they have it, it will most likely be a lot cheaper. And you may find something you did not think you needed. Today I found a delightful cake plate in the shape of a spider web, complete with spiders. For $ 3.99. And as other reviewers have mentioned weekends the place is a madhouse and the people tend to be very rude. But gosh the bargains are usually worth it.

I love inexpensive holiday décor. This location is a mob scene on weekends so I try to go on weekday mornings. Cheap, cute, holiday and household items. What’s not to love.

My rating is based on my experience — not the Christmas Tree Shops stores themselves. I have always liked the Christmas Tree Shop and usually try to fit a trip in when I am back in the area. I was there about a month ago and can’t commit that I will ever be back. The staff is inconsistent — some of them are great while others are simply living out there years on earth in a job they can’t stand — or at least that is the vibe. Beyond that, this store attracts the rudest and most inconsiderate customer base I have ever experienced. I guess when you go to a bargain store you apparently don’t need manners! People complain about how rude people are in the city… nothing compared to the behaviors in this store. You people should be ashamed of yourselves…

I love this place. Bargains, Bargains and more Bargains. I have found the expensive things I wanted in other stores such as costco, tjmaxx and michaels here for a real steal. I feel like Im robbing them blind every time I shop. I love the location. I love their holiday décor they sell. And always squeal when I find martha stewart crafts there at a fraction of a cost. Yet again, this is another store my husbands hate, but he suffers through it every once and a while with me. Every time one of my family members visits me from Colorado, California, or Washington State, I make sure they visit a Christmas Tree Shop

This one is probably better than most of the MA like the others say. That just means all of the MA people flock here for a tax free better version, and that is exactly what it is. Downfall is it is absolutely packed there. So by the time you get to the checkout(which looks similar to a DMV line) with your few dollar items, you start to think… maybe I should of saved the gas and just went to WALMART lol. Lots of cheap things there though.

I was so disappointed last night when I went to the Christmas Tree Shop. All of the things that we go there for were cut down. In place of the«toy» section of the store they now have a Health and Beauty department! Christmas Tree Shop now sells CONDOMS! I am not kidding! I will never go back!

Ok, I’m not gay but I’m reviewing the Christmas Tree shop. Although I am not gay, I think I just realized I may possibly be a 62 year old woman. No one else shops here yet I love it. I said it. I love The Christmas Tree Shop. Is it the $ 1.99 cheese slicer? The Utz Salt & Pepper potato chips? Or the endless aisles of wax-scented candles? I don’t know… and neither do you. For some reason the crack known as The Christmas Tree shop reigns supreme in a nation of Walmarts and Targets.
