Made a 40 mile road trip to Napoleon to go to Flatrock Brewing and Brick N’ Brew. The Flatrock tasting room next door was good but Brick N’ Brew was a let-down. We were warned upon entering that two servers and a dishwasher had not shown up for work and that it might be slow. We said that we understood there was a potential wait. They had around 16 handles, about 8 were acceptable craft beers. We got our food after a wait(which I can’t complain about since we were warned). The pizza was barely warm which is odd since you can practically see their brick oven from the bar. The owner chatted us up a bit and was very amiable. There was, however, nary a word of apology about the long wait or barely-warm pizza. I felt bad for the two women who were busting their butts trying to keep up. We won’t be back.

I’ve been here 5 times, and mostly it’s been slow & pricer than need be, but one of the few places in NW Ohio with a good beer selection and decent-to-good food. Saturday night 3÷7÷15 we came in at 5:15pm. After getting us water and beer, our food order was taken at 5:35pm. The first appetizer appeared at 5:50, with a question for clarification from the waiter on «which garlic bread? I wanted to make sure I didn’t get you the wrong one.» The cheesy kind, not the bruschetta. Check. At 6:10pm one of the two pizzas, our friends’, comes out. Looks fine, but we’re still missing an appetizer and a pizza. At 6:15pm the waiter brings out — wait for it — the wrong«garlic bread», bringing us bruschetta instead of the«clarified» cheezy bread. «Oops, I must have pressed the wrong button» he shares. Sir, you’re right about that. 6:25pm: after holding down my two children under four from destroying this crazy place, our pizza final comes. The garlic bread comes at 6:35pm. Everybody is frazzled, and the«special» doesn’t taste very special. My 3 year old, who loves pizza like he loves his mother’s leg, said«this pizza tastes funny.» I couldn’t have fed him that line if I tried. The waiter says«Sorry so slow, we only have one cook tonight.» Funny, I think to myself, for a Saturday night that seems crazy. Something’s rotten in the state of Denmark… 6:57pm: our check is processed, according to the receipt. Add some time for getting the tip arranged, food in boxes, coats on kids, we’re out the door just shy of 2 hours after we entered. Absurd. Talking to someone from Napoleon today, I learn the owner has been indicted for four charges of forging a signature in order to get some downtown development funds that, I’m assuming here, he wasn’t supposed to get. So. There’s that too. and In summary: come here for good beer, don’t touch the pizza(did I mention the owner has fired cooks, accountants, and all sorts of other folks since the opening?) I so badly want downtowns like Napoleon to flourish, but with businesses like this, we’re now several years from another possible hit. Shame.

Great beer selection. Terrible service. We were totally ignored at bartender shift change. Had no choice but to leave. Appetizer that we had was wonderful.

The calzones were fresh and airy, with lots of the toppings stuffed in there. It took a loooong time to get’m, though. Thank the god of malt and hops that we were happy to sit and quench our thirsts.

Great food. Decent food prices but the craft beer prices are silly. $ 6 and up per pint. Wayyyy too expensive.

We stopped in for lunch here. We got the bruschetta for an appetizer. It was a bit over priced at 3 slices for $ 7 but good. I had Italian Stromboli and my wife got vegetable Stromboli. You get a heck of a chunk of Stromboli. It needed some dipping sauce(something like pesto olive oil would be great) or something to cure the dryness but it had great flavor. For an upscale pizza restaurant their pizza prices are extremely reasonable. I’ll be back.

Great place. Stopped in by accident when the place we we planning on eating at was closed. Had 4 kids with us. Service was slow but appeared to be the result of an unplanned call in. You have to love a place that has a draft beer menu with clear descriptions of the 15 or so brews on tap. The food menu is basically salads, sandwiches and incredible flat bread pizzas. Each pizza is a bit bigger that a traditional personal pizza and could be shared if you ordered salads. Food was excellent.

This place is the best! We stopped here randomly on our way to Fort Wayne and had their antipasti plates and BLT Bloody Mary’s. The portions are awesome and the bloody was the best! If you’re driving through Napoleon stop here

my first time here when brick n brew just opened was a horrible experience but I’m glad to say they have done a full one eighty. The app we had was a pretzel bread with a popper sauce very good Both meals my wife and i had were delicious and huge serving . The beer list is huge and offers may choices for food pairing and you can try two free samples which were a good size before you buy very cool Our server was excellent she made great recommendations for our food and was knowledgeable about the beer menu What a great place will be back regularly.
