Gotta love WS. And at this location, the salespeople are friendly and helpful so I continue to go and buy overpriced stuff I can probably find elsewhere for less money. Their Vermont Vanilla Maple Syrup is soooo good that you don’t even need pancakes. Best place to park is front of mall, near Barnes and Noble. They’re right next to Lilly Pulitzer.

Wiliams Sonoma is intent on showing what culinary things are possible. They elevate their inventory to something Religious. So it was no surprise when I was directed with hushed respect to the display of the day’s best deal — A stainless crockpot — errr, I mean Slow Cooker. It was priced, even with markdown, at about three times what I would consider paying. Granted the piece was gi-Hugent and gleaming, but I lacked both the dollar fortitude and the kitchen storage for this. Lots of items here looked big enough to have to stay in a spare garage between meals. eg, an absolutely gorgeous, couscousiere was clad with enough copper to underwrite a third world country, and stood tall enough to lean several goats while the couscous steamed. ok, I exaggerate. But I don’t mean to diminish the value of visiting here to see the variety and quality of brands that are offered for the kitchen.

Obviously I am no gourmet chef or Martha Stewart, but in the past I would enjoy shopping in this store for cute items or unique thing’s. I specifically walked in to look for an Oil & Vinegar set. The store was clean but as I walked around the merchandise was so blah to me. Between the color’s of the dishes, the designs of cups and saucers, blah. Voila, I find one set for Oil & Vinegar two plain glass bottles OK I am thinking cool just what I was looking for. Seriously, are you kidding me $ 69 price tag for two glass bottles with stoppers. Are they lined with gold trim? Are they crystal? Moving right along which I did. I did see some great pots and pans, some Riedel stemware, but their prices are insane. I would much rather find houseware items at «Homegoods» or even Macy’s. Yep, I am done trying to shop here. Gourmet Chef or not I can find better items for a more reasonable price.
