Paddy Murphy’s Irish Pub

If I lived in Naples I think this would be my go to dive bar. I love me an Irish Pub. You can act a fool and feel right at home, there is plenty of room to act a fool in this place which is sweet. Every place was packed but this place at 630pm on a Friday. We went in and sat for a drink before our dinner elsewhere. Very casual atmosphere. Nice bartender. They started music at 7. Not my style. Someone walked in and asked if it was karaōke night… if you know what I’m saying. I’m in Florida. I just wanted to be outside. But this bar has charm

The location is great. We sat on the patio with our dog which was nice. Bloody Mary was $ 10 and TINY. I sucked it down in about 3 minutes and barely had vodka in it. Ordered the large Caesar salad with chicken, took 45 minutes and came out with no chicken, waitresses mistake, and it was TINY! The place next door has a Caesar salad for $ 2 less and its huge and looked better than ours. Then we ordered a burger, which should come with lettuce and tomato, says so on the menu, and we didn’t get any. Noticed a few tables around us were sending things back too. I wouldn’t go here ever again. Service wasn’t bad, they were nice, but food service was terrible.

Was on vacation from NYC. Walked by this place and decided to give it a try. Wasn’t disappointed. The food was very good, the waitresses were very attentive and it’s right on 5^th Ave. Even the owners came out and talked to us. They helped us with suggestions on where to go and what to do while staying in Naples. Thank you! Hopefully we’ll see you on our next vacation to Naples.

So we went here, intending to have lunch and we sat outside.
We ordered a beer each (just 2 of us).
In the 20 minutes it took for our beers to be served we were astonished by the people on tables all around us complaining about the service quality and speed.
We sat and watched.
It was incredible.
We ordered a second beer and chose not to eat.
25 minutes later we got our second beers. Tables to the left and right had issues with quality and service speed.
We couldn’t wait to get out of there but it took another 15 minutes to Pay !!!
Stay well clear of this place.

On a Sunday afternoon around 3 or 4 the place was empty except for 2 strange drunk men at the entrance. Despite the patio being deserted, we were instructed to only sit at 2 person tables (no one else arrived or sat at a table during the whole time we were there). Unlike pretty much any other place offering outside seating, there were no heaters despite being cold out.
Beer selection wasn’t really that great. Inside was gross and I would never recommend eating here. It would be ok for a beer but honestly there are so many other places in the area just go elsewhere. I really don’t see any reason why I’d return again.

Only three tables were seated outside and it took 25+ minutes or more to get the food. Machine also done from storm, they were taking cash only, so had to walk a few blocks to my bank for the ATM. Of course she never mentioned this till we were eating. Others coming in were also not warned. But the corned beef Reuben was VG and m wife’s burger was medium rare as ordered and both entrees for lunch very tasty. Cole slaw on side VG. a bit TOO. creamy. So, beware of a possible long wait. Bring cash!

It was a nice evening, with lots of people sitting at the outside café tables in restaurants nearby. Café Luna next door was packed, as always. There was not a soul sitting at the dozen tables in front of Paddy Murphy’s, also as usual. The lone hostess was willing to show us the menu, listing plenty of options. It seemed a bit strange that few of the options were Irish and most of them were Italian. However, since the prices were reasonable (unusual for Fifth Avenue) and there were plenty of empty tables (also unusual for Fifth Avenue), we decided to do it. The beers came promptly, but the food… not so much. We waited, the waitress apologized. We waited more, the waitress apologized again. Repeat several times. Finally, we learned that Paddy Murphy’s doesn’t even have a kitchen. They get the food from the popular Café Luna next door. Well, the food finally came and it was fine. However, it was clear that we had last priority as of course the Café Luna kitchen is going to serve their own. The food was fine but honestly I don’t even remember what we ate. As it turns out though, we might have been better off waiting a half hour for a table at Café Luna instead of sitting in the deserted sea of empty tables at Paddy Murphy’s waiting a half hour longer than we should have for our food. When Café Luna moves (they are tearing down the building in a few months), what will Paddy Murphy’s do then about food? Well, perhaps they should forget about it and just stick with what they do well. Paddy Murphy’s is the place to go late at night to drink a Guinness, smoke a cigarette, and throw some darts. Great place for beer in a bar, but go elsewhere for dinner.

Paddy’s is always a great spot and the staff is terrific. Paddy himself is around often as well as the other owners and always greet new people. If you are in the Naples area and want a good drink I recommend you stop in. Each night is a different form of entertainment too.

4 of us were visiting family in Naples last week and we stopped here for a drink before dinner. We sat outside and the men ordered beers. When the server brought the drinks, she tripped and two full glasses of beer were dumped on my friend sitting across from me. She was totally soaked, her shirt, jeans as well as her purse and phone were dripping with beer. Of course she was very apologetic and brought us lots of napkins to clean her mess. We were shocked when she brought the bill and nothing was comped. We thought at least there would be a discount! She said her manager was not there so she had no authority to do anything. Of course accidents happen and we were as gracious to her as we could be, not wanting her to feel bad. We even tipped a full 20% but having been a server myself, I would have been mortified and would have definitely taken the hit if I did this.

There were only four of us at the bar. Guess Fifth Avenue doesn’t get going til late at night. Not in a hurry to go back

Came in for my bachelorette party a few weeks ago! Had so much fun! Servers were nice and prices were fair. Bathrooms were a little gross. They have TouchTunes and then a DJ came in so we danced all night. Would definitely go back!

It was pretty good. Service was friendly and the bar tender was very attentive and welcoming. We were a bit surprised that it was an Irish pub, but the menu was mostly Italian. Oh well, the meatballs were good. We would have preferred authentic Irish cuisine, however.

I give 1 star because they don’t have zero. This place is horrible, the service that is since they wouldn’t serve me and my girlfriend food because their kitchen will close in 15min. After the bar tender told me there’s no food now, the door guy told me to sit outside and the still have 10min to take my order. Yet I had to beg the waitress for a menu and she gave; I quote: 2 seconds to place an order for appetizers only. Thinking she was kidding, literally 10 seconds she rudely asking me to make up my mind about what I want in a menu I have never see before… Told her I just started to look, and she insisted on pushing me and said they have been working all day, like they were doing us a favor. So my GF and and I refused to order under pressure. And she seemed relieved. I will never come back to this place and would NOT RECOMMEND it to no one. They suck!

This place is horrible. The food comes from the cheaper Italian restaurant next door. When we confronted the waitress she said that she is only a waitress and only does here job. We needed to pay nearly double than what was on the menu next door.

If you’re looking for an informal place to grab a cold beer at the bar, this place is for you.
If you’re looking for something to eat, go ANYWHERE else. Paddy’s doesn’t have a kitchen, they get their food from the place next door and it is upset stomach bad.

Naples is not known for a bar scene. Bars close super early. I usually am in Naples for golf and family, but I went out my friends on 5^th.
This bar stinks. Smelly, drunk old people. Cheap feel, ugly inside and crabby drinks.

Came by here on new years eve to have a Guiness as we were walking around, I’m always on the hunt for good Guiness, and surprisingly this was pretty solid and well poured. The place is pretty much a dump, and the old guy behind the bar was very slow. The waitresses were quick and very nice, most of whom were actually irish. The prices were a bit high considering what the place was.

Every time I go to Paddys, I know the next morning is going to be rough.
It might not be the nicest, have the best service, or be the cheapest. Heck, there’s not even an atmosphere, really. Especially when it gets busy. And you’ll most likely reek of cigarette smoke for the next couple of days. But if you go with a good group of friends, you’ll have a good time.
Just don’t have high expectations.
