We wanted to take our friends out for a nice dinner and chose Flemings as it has a good reputation and supposedly good food. What a mistake! The waiter spent the entire time trying to up sell us, rather than deliver the quality of service you would expect with a restaurant of this caliber(and prices!). My husband ordered a glass of wine, but the waiter scoffed at his selection and bullied him into ordering one twice the price. Once he realized the rest of the table wasn’t big drinkers, he barely came back. We ordered salads, sides and entrees, so it’s not like we weren’t spending money. Our finished plates sat in front of us for fifteen minutes, water glasses were empty, and servers(including ours), kept walking by our table without stopping to clear it. He did come back once while we were eating. Not to check on our food, but to ask if we wanted the lava cake(without providing the dessert menu for other options). We ordered two lava cakes and asked for the bill. I spoke with the manager on duty after our dinner as I was appalled at the subpar service at such a «nice» establishment. His apology couldn’t have been more insincere, and all he offered was his business card for my next visit. Sorry, but there won’t be another visit to this overpriced, overhyped establishment.

Hot mess from beginning to end. Valet was inappropriate in the extreme. Salad was warm and wilted. Crab legs were cold(supposed to be warm) steaks were cold. Four people at our table ordered steaks, three had to go back. Table next to us walked out in the middle of dinner. I could really go on but this place is sad. Almost as sad as Lurcat the other overpriced underdelivering heavyweight champion of Naples. Go to Fuse.

Pleasant atmosphere. Good food. Chicken Caesar salad was excellent. Prices comparable for high season in Naples

I typically visit my parents in Naples each winter and Fleming’s is our go-to spot for my dad’s birthday that happens to occur during that time. If it weren’t for the last visit there wouldn’t be much to write about this place– if you’ve been to one Fleming’s you’ve pretty much been to them all, and the Naples location is no different. Our latest visit though was just pathetic. We went for dinner the Monday after New Years(Jan 4). We had made reservations in advance on the phone and nothing was said about the apparent lack of food, but when we arrived and the drinks had been poured, the server let us know that they were out of basically everything on the menu. He listed only 3 or 4 steaks that they actually did have, and at least one of them was one you would never want to order anyway. Fleming’s excuse for this situation was that they had a busy new years eve(now 3 days ago), but why they didn’t bother to let us know when we made our reservation earlier that day that they were basically out of all steaks is a mystery– or even before the bottles of wine were ordered and being poured for the table. It would be one thing for this to happen at a run of the mill restaurant with $ 20 entrees, but when you are paying $ 45-$ 60 a steak at Flemings it is really inexcusable. Our server was the only saving grace and was able to grab the last two bone-in filets they had on special for us with literally only seconds to spare. He did a really good job handling the bad situation as best he could. After the whole out-of-everything-on-the-menu debacle I started noticing other negative stuff that is nit-picky but still off putting. When the steaks arrived, out of the three we ordered, two were really not cooked to the right temp(a medium filet cooked medium rare and a medium-rare bone in cooked medium). THe only one they managed to get right was the very rare one. And other small things– for example when a runner brought the salads to the table he had the bottom of one plate just sitting on top of the actual salad on another place which was a little gross to see(if Jon Taffer yells about it with glasses, I can’t imagine it’s much different with plates). Hopefully this was just a one-off bad night for this restaurant, but the attitude that was given that the customer should just be happy to pay for an expensive steak he doesn’t want since they’re out of everything«because News Years» was discouraging to say the least. Honestly, take your $ 605 minutes down the street and go to Capital Grill instead.

A really great dinning experience tonight! 3 of us had the prime rib special. I had rare, others had med rare and medium done perfectly cooked. Wonderful flavor. Loved horseradish. Their house salad very tasty, loved the cranberries, usually like more dressing but the flavor made up for it(could’ve put more on). Bread was a little hard to pull apart but that didn’t slow us down enough. Hahaha. Bake potato and asparagus great as well as the carrot cake and lava cake(wife chocolate lover). Great décor and lighting, prefer a booth so our table seemed a little close to the others but didn’t distract. The service was equal to the food and topped the experience. PHIL was excellent. Friendly, knowledgable, and meet all our needs but seemed to not interrupt. It was like a treat when he was around, so nice. Support and other waiters appeared similar. Management checked with us also. Prices seemed a little high at first(normal for area) but now see it as a value. Thanks again Phil

Sadly, while my wife and I generally go to Flemings one or more times a month, tonight’s experience at the Flemings in North Naples, Florida was the worst experience I’ve ever had there. My wife and I are celebrating our 43rd anniversary and we chose to go to Flemings(once again) to celebrate our special day. Our waiter, Ivan, knew it was our anniversary and that we chose this particular restaurant to celebrate at. Telling him we were interested in the Sunday night special Prime Rib dinner, he informed us that they were having problems with their oven, and they could only provide a well done prime rib. Both my wife and I prefer medium rare, and asked if he could offer us an alternative to well done, or an alternate ‘special’ for our special night. He said he would ask the chef if there was something he could do. He came back and informed us that the chef said that he could not provide any alternate specials. We left. We left disappointed that Ivan just didn’t seem to care at all, and offered no alternative to remedy the restaurant’s inability to accommodate us with a replacement for the Sunday Night Special that they were unable to deliver on. Also, very disappointed that the manager wasn’t called upon to offer a solution agreeable to us, and to the restaurant, that would have saved our night of celebration, and given me cause to write a very positive review, which is what I generally do, of how Flemings saved our night by letting us know that they treat their customers with care and respect. My wife and I felt neither tonight. A very disappointing experience and a celebration ruined. Thanks for nothing Flemings!

Very good overall. We didn’t care so much for the mushroom ravioli app. It was good but not great. My wife had the fillet topped with lobster. She loved the lobster but didn’t go on about the fillet so much. I had the NY strip with kona coffee rub. It was an excellent cut and very well cooked. Also tried the lava cake which was good. So the food was very good, service good. just a little expensive but the prices are the same at the other steak houses in the area. I will definitely back for another special occasion dinner

Pretty decent for a chain steakhouse. A tad bit pricey but the steaks were higher quality. The service was actually quite good. We were able to sit outside which added to the experience. Of the four of us dining only one person had one drink and one had desert. The bill was over $ 300 with tip. Not the cheapest place but I expected that size bill going in. Dined at 5:30 on a week day meant we didn’t need a reservation and had no wait time.

OK up date on this review: After writing this review I got a message from Irma who works at Flemings Steak House. She had concerns about my bad review of the restaurant. We spoke about my experience and she sounded very interested. She told me that Flemings was Cared about the out come of the bad experience I had. She asked me for my information. And with that they compensated me and asked me to please give them another try. Good things do happen and Corporations can make good. I ate at Flemings Steakhouse a week ago and boy was I ever disappointed. I took a friend there for her birthday. We started with drinks at the bar. Not to bad. Then we sat down to dinner. I ordered my meal which was hanger steak cooked medium over this weird corn meal mush with a side of broccoli which was completely under cooked. I told the waiter that the steak was way under cook almost purple and it was thick and tough. Then said that the corn meal mush thing was disgusting. He asked me to re fire my steak and I thought that might help the steak. It came back way over cooked. He then asked if I wanted something else so I went with the short rib which he told me they are known for. I said yes and to my surprise it was a big blob of fat. No meat. The manager was now involved and begged to forgive them and please let them cook me something else but by this time my friend was done and I wasn’t waiting anymore. They gave us dessert for free but was it worth it. I say hell no. I was embarrassed taking her there for her birthday and this was the crappy meal I got. Now her meal was some shrimp dish with pasta and veggies. She said it was salty and boring. Bottom line, I wouldn’t go back.

Food was decent, not exceptional. Service was average. As plates were being cleared, spilled on me and nothing more then«sorry.» Not an offer to bring soda water to dab, literally nothing! Felt like just another average restaurant, nothing special or distinct. Check in with hostess, sit down, order, eat, pay, leave. Won’t ever return.

Very friendly and attentive staff here. Food quality is superb! I had a filet with porcini rub and asparagus plus a bottle of Brut champagne. It was a beautiful meal. Ambiance could use more liveliness, but overall lovely.

I dined here as a part of a group of 8. A quick recap of the evening: The bad: — Waiter tried to push wines on our group as we were perusing the wine list. With 8 people, he suggested magnums, and showed me how to find them on the iPad list. Didn’t stop until I(who had been designated as the one to pick the wine) noted that he was offering us a $ 120 «deal» on a wine that retails for $ 40ish in magnum, from a notably poor vintage. — When we DID select our wines, one was unavailable(despite being prominently listed on the iPad list — why have an electronic list if you’re not going to keep it updated? I can understand paper not being updated, but seriously?), so I had to make an alternate selection. When I sent it in, they forgot what the second bottle I ordered was, requiring that they stop back at the table to ask me a second time. Write. It. Down. Next. Time. That’s part of why people pay a markup on wine at a restaurant; service. It was lacking here. — One member of our party spotted a friend on their birthday, so he tried to flag down a waiter to send over a dessert to them on his card. Took *4* staff members walking by before one stopped. Really? — Of the 8 meals, 2 were overdone(my prime dry-aged ribeye, at «rare +» was pretty solidly medium, and another that was supposed to be medium-rare was completely overdone, to the point of lacking moisture). Batting .750 is good in baseball, bad for $ 50 steaks. — There was no two-bite check done; we had to flag down a waitress to send back the dried steak. I decided to simply deal with my medium. — Of the 7 sides ordered(baked potato, mushrooms, 2x mashed potatoes, 2x asparagus), 6 made it to the table, and 1(the mushrooms) had to be specially requested when the steak was sent back. — Overall, I wasn’t impressed with the steak. I’ve cooked better at home without a 1600 degree broiler. Meh. — When pouring the wine, we requested 3 oz pours of everything so everyone could enjoy both selections(a bottle is ~25 oz, 3×8=24 oz, perfect). First bottle, fine, perhaps a little short on the pours but not too bad, there was maybe another 3 oz left in the decanter. Second bottle, not so much. I got a taste, then everyone else was poured a little heavy. Last 2 people on the table(me, and my neighbor to the right) got the shaft — he got shorted, and I got none. The good: — With the mispour, the waiter comped me a 3 oz glass of the second wine. Problem solved. My neighbor could have had one as well, but he declined. — When we ordered 2 bottles of wine, a second set of glasses was brought to the table instantly. Nice! — The re-fire on the very overdone steak was rushed to the table by the head chef, who apologized in person, another problem solved. — Some selections were delicious. The chocolate lava cake is well worth the price of admission. Ditto the truffled mashed potatoes. Pity the steak wasn’t up to the same standard. — The ambience was excellent. The place looked like how one expects a high-end restaurant to. Overall: I think the cons outweigh the pros here. For a dinner that our host paid easily $ 100 a head for, the service was lacking. Yes, problems were taken care of – but if our experience was the norm, that’s due to lots of practice and not due to care for the customer. Still, for a meal at that price point, there’s a number of steakhouses in the area I can think of off the top of my head that offered a better experience, and a number of restaurants of other forms that are superior as well. I’m glad I wasn’t the host, at any rate. It wasn’t a comedy of errors, but it surely wasn’t a $ 100-a-person experience.

This is my first visit to Fleming at Naples. We have a birthday celebration and decided to have it at Fleming — Naples. My friend told me, ‘You will like the Fleming!” He gave me what he enjoyed at Fleming. Get there with a short 30 minutes’ drive from Fort Myers to North Naples. We were seated at a booth near a wall where you can carry a private conversation nicely! On the table, a happy birthday card signed by the staff. This sets the mood for the evening. We were greeted by Amanda and offered us a black napkin instead of a white napkin. A hot roll with flavored butters was available immediately. They have a Sunday Prime Rib dinner with salad, one side, prime rib and dessert! Drinks: We have Merlot and Pinot Grigio for drink. Be carefully what you order, some high end wine can be expensive! Appetizers: We skipped the appetizer. Salads: We have the Fleming Salad and Modern Caesar salad. The House or Fleming salad was a wonderful way to start, with candied walnuts, dried cranberries, tomatoes, onions, greens & herbed crostini; very refreshing. The Caesar with just right amount anchive, parmesan, capers and prosciutto chips. All salads were served with chilled salad forks. Excellent and great salads! Entrees: I normally order bone-in ribeye or thinking try the Wagyu New York Strip. But since this is Summer Sunday, they have its Prime Rib prix fixe with salad, prime rib, side, and dessert for $ 34.99. Are you kidding me? We all ordered the special! My order was cooked medium rare and others with medium. My prime rib was pink in the center and melted in my mouth! Great prime rib! I also noticed I got the largest cut. May be the chef knew I am going to do a review! Sides: Chipotle Mac n cheese — light and creamy with a Chipotle kick. Asparagus –grilled with red pepper and the last side dish was creamed spinach. Dessert: Crème Brulee — Creamy vanilla custard with strawberries, Raspberries and blueberries. Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting with rum caramel. Chocolate lava Cake — hot Chocolate cake with chocolate, vanilla ice cream and chopped nut decorated with raspberries. Fresh berries — Raspberries, strawberries and other berries(I forgot what it was) with whipped cream and a birthday candle! Attention to detail was excellent, offered a black napkin, chilled salad forks, with Happy Birthday or congratulation card on event celebration. Not only do you receive a nice signed birthday card, we received a $ 25 gift card for the next visit, a small box of their yummy truffle bites and candles on the dessert, Foods and service were excellent. May be we can make this a monthly Prime Sunday!

We visited on a busy Saturday night, when there was a large private party in a separate room. Service was a little slow but nothing ridiculous. First the manager comped the appetizer, then the entire meal! We hadn’t even complained. What a surprise. The food was good, too by the way!

I was part of a group of 6 who dined there last night. We chose it based on location and the fact that one of our friends from California loves the Flemings near his home there. The server was friendly but too busy the whole time. We were rushed thru our meal and the food was mediocre at best. Two beet salads each had one small beet and the tomatoes which should be great this time of year were hard and tasteless. Don’t get me started about the Burrata Cheese also hard and tasteless. The Prime Rib was tough as well as the more expensive Prime Steak. Scallops were rubbery and tasteless. One manager did stop by after we got her attention to let her know about the salads. They forget my husbands dessert even though it was part of the special. Wines were good and so was the company. That is the most positive thing I can say.

The steaks are superb. We used to be loyal to Andre’s Steak house but the last several visits the quality of the steaks have gone done. Fleming’s consistently has amazing steaks. The service at Fleming’s can sometimes be a little off. The manager does try very hard to keep the customers happy. Fleming’s is the best steak place in Naples.

I have been to this location a few times and have had fabulous experiences but last night wasn’t so fantastic. It was the first time I’ve been there where they were actually busy so I guess that makes a difference. We were seated right away, had a reservation, we started going through the menu our server came up offered us bread and water the usual. They have an iPad with wine pairings that comes in handy but it wasn’t working last night. We ordered the baked brie to start which was OK, nothing phenomenal. The sweet chili calamari is most definitely the better choice for an appetizer. We also ordered a bottle of the red diamond merlot which was delicious. I had the petite filet mingon which was cooked to perfection and a loaded baked potatoe which was just sad. They cut a potatoe open threw all the«loaded» ingredients in and called it a day. My boyfriend had the bone in Ribeye which was amazing. Usually when I have been to Flemings they offer you the lava cake dessert as soon as ur meal comes out because it takes about 20 min to make. Not this time. We finished our meal and I ordered the dessert because it’s my favorite. It’s ok that it took long because we were still working on the wine. As soon as the dessert hit the table so did the check. I’m not a fan of having my check dropped on the table before I finish eating. It may be a Latin thing but I always feel like I am being pushed out if that happens. Regardless we weren’t finished ordering. My boyfriend still wanted a coffee, he ordered and espresso, and suffered through it. He said it tasted rich caffeinated burnt dirty water. We finished our meal at 9:15, this might be a Naples thing, i don’t know but as we’re finishing our meal they were closing down the restaurant. In miami there’s still a line out the door at 9:15 especially on a Saturday night but Naples is clearly more sleepy. Overall it was an OK experience, but for the price I won’t be repeating it anytime soon.
