Service King Collision Repair of Naperville

I hate this damn place. My car had been through a hail storm and so my parents (I was 16 at the time, 17 now.) took the car to the service king to get my car repaired because pretty much every single part had to be replaced because of dents. However, I am really into cars and like taking car of them, and well after this experience I will NEVER go back. The process took about 2 and ½ months to complete when they said that it would take about two weeks. They kept on saying «we don’t have this» or «we need to order this part» and this went on for the whole time. The reason we tried this place was because this is where Allstate, our insurer said for us to bring the car here. When we finally got the car back the car looked ok. However, upon closer inspection, me being a car person found a streak of white paint on the INTERIOR of my car on the rear pillar and a black streak of paint on the side of the rear seat, again in the INTERIOR of my car. I do not know how this happened (especially with being on the interior), but I am not pleased with Service King. Another thing that I noticed was that the interior screws were missing and not installed and the way they put the car back together was absolute sh**. Meanwhile during this process, the customer service was total crap and I know my parents were not pleased. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS (especially if you are a car person like me, THEY WILL JACK UP YOUR CAR). This process for them is all about money and only money. If you want a really good place to take your car go to Intellident in Lake Zurich, IL. It might be a little farther away for some, but they will come pick up your car and give you a rental. How I know they do a great job is because my dad’s car was in the same storm and we took his car there and now a person cannot tell his car had been in a really bad hailstorm (it was around baseball size hail). Again DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO SERVICE KING unless you want it jacked up.

Dear Service King, Allstate, and Future Valued Customer,
Here is my story of auto repair with Service King of Naperville and Allstate. Enjoy.
This situation was an experience I have lamented since deciding to allow Service King to repair my vehicle. It took 2 weeks to get my vehicle into the facility, the confirmation email stated the wrong person (which I didn’t find out till the morning I dropped the vehicle off) I was scheduled to meet with.
The gentleman at the front counter was rude, unprofessional, and disorganized. Dropping the vehicle off took over an hour! After requesting to be called (rather than their preferred method of text) I was sent an immediate «text» message, completely disregarding my request??? Okay?
Phil my Service King contact assigned to my vehicle was unknowledgeable, a liar, and provided every excuse necessary to cover up his mistakes. After being told OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer– parts coming from Ford not your cheap aftermarket alternatives) parts would be used upon drop off. I was told several days later they were using refurbished components and yet charging my insurance company $ 800 OVER the initial estimate. After getting a quote for vehicle completion of 10 – 12 days, my vehicle was miraculously completed in 3 days???
Okay. Great. But after finding out they used refurbished components, I contacted my insurance company to express my discontent. 6 phones calls were made to Allstate (one every 3 days) over the course of 2 ½ weeks, all of which unreturned with no assistance for resolution from Service King either. 2 ½ weeks after the blatant violation of my request, Allstate contacted Service King (Phil and the Manager) to gain further clarification.
In a very indicative example of Service King’s poor customer relations, miserable character, and obvious misplaced business ethics, grossly lied to Allstate regarding their communication with me. As a result, I am picking up a tab for a rental car that was not needed, paying a full deductible for subpar work, and wasted many hours, days, and weeks with both Service King and Allstate avoiding any and all accountability for their errors.
Conclusion: Both Allstate and Sevice King know nothing of customer service, integrity, morals or values, and will not be apart of any future business from myself and anyone that believes in being treated with respect, honesty, and appreciation.

Avoid Service King at all costs, their staff and work is terrible! I got referredby a friend to go to this body shop and that was the worst mistake I could have ever made. If you are looking for service that is done right and in a respectful manner DO NOT go to Service King.

Staff was great at keeping me updated on the status of my car. They were all super friendly and knowledgeable. My only major complaint is that when I picked up my car, all the contents of my trunk and glove box (important papers, CDs, etc.) were literally DUMPED all over my back seat, and my car looked like a tornado went through it. It took me 30 minutes just to put everything back in the right place. The contents of my glove box were scattered everywhere. In my opinion, this is a very unprofessional way to present the finished car to the customer. I understand that things needed to be moved in the car for them to access and fix parts, but they could have at least put my belongings neatly in a box or put everything back where it belonged. As far as car repair, I would definitely recommend them. As far as professional cleanliness, I would address this with them prior to picking up your vehicle to make sure that this doesn’t happen to you.

They did an amazing job on my AUDI A4 and very professional. They also got it done very fast. They send text msgs with any updates on the car and how it’s doing. I will def bring my car back if I need anything in the future.
