Nerd Rangers

I would defiantly recommend Nerd Rangers to anyone. I brought my MacBook Air in after the Apple Store told me it would cost close to $ 300 just to send it in to Apple. After a diagnostic, labor, and a new i/​o board total cost around $ 150, my computer worked like new. Great customer service and quick turnaround.

I decided to go to Nerd Rangers after hearing from a friend that her macbook works «good as new and super fast» after she brought it there to have a ton of viruses/​malware removed. I figured mine was just as bad, if not worse then hers since even my home page on ALL of my browsers were taken over by a suspicious virus thing that constantly caused pop ups and slowed down my laptop to the point where it was impossible to use.
I called and received a fair quote after describing a bit about the problems I was experiencing with my laptop. The guy who runs the company, Shuaib, was very helpful and professional. He even offered to pick up my laptop the next day on his way downtown which was awesome because I live in countryside and it saved me a drive to Naperville one way. It was ready to be picked up after only 3 working days. I ended up having over 50 types of malware and 30 viruses on mac which he was able to get rid of. He even installed a free anti-​malware program that will help prevent future problems. When I went to pick it up he was happy to explain step-​by step what he had done to fix the laptop, how the viruses and malware work/​how they infect the whole system, and provided tips on how to keep it running smoothly from now on. I literally thought I was going to have to buy a whole new macbook which I definitely cant afford right now, and it was returned to me feeling like brand new and only cost me about $ 300 (about a fourth of what a new macbook might cost). I would definitely recommend Nerd Rangers to anyone and would feel comfortable calling them if I had any questions in the future.
