Li’l Deb-N-Heir

I bought my daughters crib 2 yrs ago and it converts into a toddler bed and then a full sz bed. When we were converting to a full we had a issue with the screws and holes to put it together. Our warranty didn’t cover the issue so we called the store and talked to Ron who was helpful right from the beginning. He drove all the way out to my house the next day and fixed the issue so we can now finish converting to a full sz bed. I have never seen a company take responsibility after two yrs and they sure we were taken care and did what was necessary to fix the issue. It was great! If we ever have another little one I will be going back here for another crib. Best place to go for your little ones room!!!

Knowledgeable staff. Great assortment of high quality furniture. My daughter’s bedroom set will be hers for years to come.

My husband’s nursery furniture came from Li’l Deb-​N-​Heir, and now his son’s does too! Yes, it’s expensive. But, guess what! Good stuff costs money. If you want cheap stuff that you have to send back 3 times until it’s right, go ahead and buy it from IKEA or wherever. But if you want top quality furniture that arrives in perfect condition, and is sold, delivered, and serviced with top quality care, then, by all means! Just cut to the chase and come here. We never had to test the customer service, btw, as everything has been perfect so far.

If you look up «customer service» in the dictionary, you will see this store Little Deb n Heir. We have purchased all of our children’s furniture here and the craftsmanship and quality are unmatched! Period! Now let’s get to the service. It goes something like this… the time is around 6 pm. I am converting crib to twin bed. A piece of bed was missing. I notice that store was closed but decided to call any way. Store manager was working late and actually answered phone. I explained my situation. Without hesitation he finds an extra piece in back of the store and 1 hour later he is at my door personally delivering it. Oh yeah… I forgot to mention… it was Sunday night around 8pm at this point! FANTASTIC! You can not beat the service of a store like this over those «big box» guys. Keep up the world class job Little Deb n Heir in Naperville, IL

I was hesitant to shop here after reading some mixed reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve been here a few times in the past few months to prepare for baby #2. The staff was helpful, prompt and courteous. They were great with communication — following up quickly to emails or phone. The furniture arrived and it was perfect and — more importantly — on time! Their selection is quite large and we found something in our price range (which was much lower than what we spent at another local store for baby #1!). Overall, I was really pleased and would definitely go back.

I’m really happy to see another great review on Unilocal for Li’l! We almost didn’t even stop in because of the other/​older reviews that show up on Google. We drove out to Naperville from the city primarily to visit another much larger store in the area (super disappointing btw!!!) and figured we might as well swing by Li’l while we were closeby. As Heather said, gorgeous, quality furniture, hence the «expensive prices» mentioned in other reviews. My husband and I visited several other stores (a total of six), however, and Li’l is highly competitive pricewise with the manufacturers they do carry, they just carry more high quality (and again, costly) brands. If you don’t want to pay more for a high quailty crib, I’d recommend going with a more affordable store or a chain store.
The customer service has been wonderful — we’re spoken quite a bit with Dawn, who greeted us immediately upon arrival, was very knowledgable/​helpful, and ultimately the one that placed our order, as well as Trish who fielded a lot of questions from us throughout the process and has been in contact with us about our order status. We placed our order before President’s Day and they kept in close contact with the manufacturer to ensure we still received the holiday weekend sale deals. Another huge factor in our decision to go with them is the extended warranty they sell — for a very reasonable charge you get a 5 year warranty that covers all sorts of stuff — accidents like your child deciding to use the crib for teething, one of us leaving something on the dresser and staining it, etc and it is a per order charge not per item (brilliant!). Oh and paying less in taxes by getting the heck out of the city was a nice plus too!
Our furniture will not be delivered until next month but I am confident that the rest of this process will go as well as the start and wanted to write a review now before I forgot! If you’re closeby or considering the drive to Naperville, I’d highly recommend you checking out their store!

Gorgeous furniture but you do pay for it. Having said that the reason for writing is customer service after the purchase. Outstanding! Unfortunately I had a issue with the stain on our crib and dresser. This was like 6 months or so after delivery. The pieces started turning a blue color! I called and Trish asked me to take a couple of pics which I did and she promptly sent someone to take a look. We ended up replacing the dresser and part of the crib. It did take a long time but I am very happy with the results. I was never given a problem and they could have given me plenty of excuses as to why it was turning blue. Thank you Lil Deb-​N — Heir! Bravo on a stellar performance!

My husband and I stopped into Li’l Deb-​N-​Heir yesterday. Upon our arrival there were two employees at the counter talking to another couple. No one greeted us so we helped ourselves and browsed the entire store. We finally decided to leave and still did not even get a «goodbye» or «thanks for stopping in» from the two employees standing right by the entrance/​exit. I do not believe it took two people to help the other couple but even still a «hello» or «I will be right with you» would have been okay with us instead of being completely ignored. With that type of service, we will shop elsewhere.

We stopped in here while visiting family in the area and were really impressed! It’s hard to find stores these days which carry higher end items that you can touch and feel before shelling out the cash. Since we know we want a really sturdy, long-​term crib that’s made of all-​wood and not overseas, this place was a treasure for us!
Yes, the prices are expensive, but the quality, artisan goods justify the price tag. For what they sell, their prices are totally competitive.
We have a similar store near us in WA and the difference in the attitude of the staff was remarkable. There’s one nice lady at the store here, but the others are a little rude and you get the feeling they assume everyone is a browser and not worth their time unless you’re decked head to toe in designer labels.
The staff at Li’l Deb-​N-​Heir was 180 different, they were incredibly helpful even though they knew we were from out of town and not going to buy anything that day. We were there for at least an hour testing out gliders, reading up on cribs, etc. and the staff was really attentive but not at all pushy. We are actually contemplating ordering our crib from them to be shipped here if the price is at all comparable from ordering through an online retailer.
Customer service matters, and this place gets it right!

This place can be your worst nightmare (pricing) but it certainly can lead to some very sweet dreams.
I purchased my children’s furniture here when the store was in Berwyn and now back for (YIKES) grandchildren’s. They really have some outstanding collections and items you will not see at other stores.
It is very QUIET and I can visualize grandpas sleeping away in the comfy gliders while decisions about how his money will be spent are being made.

Beautiful, yes.
Pracitcal, possibly.
Affordable, not at all unless you are a Fortune 500 exec.
Seriously though, we went in here when my son was born and they make you feel like you have stepped into Parenting Magazine, or Better Homes and Gardens — sure why not with an iron vintage inspired crib that with fittings was $ 3000?

The most gorgeous children’s room décor in the universe, and a pricetag to match, but check it out if you have the means. They’ve got the cool-​looking old-​fashioned buggy that is not practical at all. The staff are so helpful, and they really don’t mind browsers. The furniture is high-​quality, and the bedding lovely.
Although…I shudder somewhat when I see the «Financing Available» sign in the window when I drive by. The image of apartment dwellers making payments on a $ 5000 nursery comes to mind.
