Elated to see another affordable ethnic food option in this food court(prior to Green, Naf Naf was my only go-to in the same strip mall) — Bought 3 lunch specials for the family to sample as many dishes(briyani, butter, curry and tandoori chickens) as possible; the fish was incredible, and the service was refreshingly attentive and kind.

Wow! I’ve been in Naperville for almost three years and just found this place earlier this week. What a great find! And a welcomed addition to the tired lunch scene around the office parks. Green Chilli is a quick lunch option with an already prepared line-up of delicious indian cuisine. From tandoori chicken to butter chicken to egg masala, the options rotate and are always delicious. The lunch special is the way to go. $ 7.99 for a huge helping of two entrees plus rice and naan. I discovered this on Tuesday. Went back on Wednesday. Headed back again today.

I am very picky about Indian food and I love this place. They have excellent lunch specials. Chilli Chicken is a must have but you can’t go wrong with almost anything. Owner is very friendly as well. Bottom line… Great food and great value!

First of all, food just barely edible. We were getting nans for a fundraiser, ordered it a month ago, confirmed the order 3 times the week before and the day before. They bailed out on us 4 hours before the pick-up time and asked us to pick up from their other location 45 min away, since they got a big order??? Our day was packed as we were hosting 150 people, and this last min ditching. That too for a fundraiser and a noble cause. Extremely and sadly disappointing. I am sure we or any of our friends will never cater from here ever. I wish only bad and failure for this business. There are much more reliable and better options in the area. Thanks to Tandoor Hut for helping us last minute, and getting an employee on call to make 100 nans for us.

Stopped by and got a goat and chicken Biryani. The taste was quite different. Not a Dum Biryani for sure. The smell was too weird, could not understand if it was spoiled or the masala was smelling so. May be would have to try again to get a clear review of the food.

Best indian food in the suburbs. Staff is awesome very willing to help and answer questions. Food is amazing. Love the tandoori chicken, the butter chicken, the chili chicken, the naan and the chutney. It’s very close to my work. You should definitely try them.

After stopping in for a quick peek yesterday, immediately liking the atmosphere, and being greeted by the friendly person at the front, I decided to try Green Chilli for dinner tonight. There was a different man today, and while he was keen to give samples that I didn’t ask for, the moment another customer/friend came in, he immediately went over to him and started talking… can you have not finished my 30 second order to-go? Honestly I didn’t really care since I wasn’t in a rush, but it was strange. The first thing that I noticed was the small selection(3 vegetarian dishes and 4 meat dishes). The vegetarian dishes are a paneer tikki masala, a spicy curry mixed veggie, and lentil dish(shambar? idk). I decided to go for the paneer and curry mixed vegetables since the lentils looked extra soupy. My total came out to be almost $ 10 for the veggie combo. I love Indian food, my friends will all tell you that if Indian food is an option, I will always say yes and jump on it! Dinner was a huge let down :(The curry veggies were way to spicy for my liking and then the tikki paneer was so-so. Maybe it was an off batch, but I didn’t even know tikki masala couldn’t be anything but 5 star perfection. The naan was already pre-wrapped in foil and stacked in the corner, so it was moist and flattened. I’ve had a lot of naan in my life and this was not very good. Maybe I’ll come again and see if anything has improved… but since the selection isn’t that big in the first place, I probably will just try a new restaurant. :(

There is no reason for any one to go to this place, just waste of your money. I went here for buffet food was pathetic and so was the service, we had to get our mug and jugs for water, and they were not picking up the used plates and in short time our tables were mess. On top of it they had the guts to charge us 18% gratuity. We will never visit this place again.

I went here for lunch with my close gal pal and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good. I had the lunch special for $ 6.99. It includes rice and two sides. The chicken biryani was tasty. Cucumber mint chutney was too watered down and tamarind chutney was not bad. Vegetable samosa was fried and the filling was okay it could have had more flavor.

So I have been sitting here at Green chille for 25 minutes waiting for two dishes for dinner. I thought this was a take out place but apparently, you have to sit around waiting for half hour for two dishes?!? There are literally NOOTHERPEOPLE in here. I was heading to Naf Naf initially and thought Indian sounded better but I am regretting my decision. I have no patience for a restaurant that presents itself as a take out place that makes you wait longer than a sit down place. It’s too bad because the food is quite good.

It’s a good sign when the owner sees you standing outside freezing and comes to the door to go communion. A nice, quick and friendly lunch. The lunch special is $ 6.99. There are 10 tables and a simple buffet. The owner was a bit distracted from getting me hot Indian bread but apologized.

The Chicken 65 and Tandoori Chicken are both awesome. In fact, the Tandoori chicken is the best I have found in the area. I cant say how authentic it is, but Its very tart and spicy, while many local places deliver a much milder product. At $ 7, the lunch special is hard to beat. It includes two entrees with rIce and naan. You end up coming away satisfied. For folks looking for meal-time to be an event, you can skip this place. It truly is no-frills. For those looking for a good meal at a reasonable price, you might want to give this place a try.

This place lacks any type of ambiance. Food was average. Website said that they opened at 11:00 for lunch and we arrived shortly after 11 and the food was not entirely ready yet(quasi buffet). Then I see on Unilocal that the hours are 11:30 on Saturday so either the website was wrong and that explains why they weren’t ready, or they did open at 11:00 but then were running behind… The server seemed to indicate there had been a problem and that’s why the food wasn’t ready.

I wanted Chicken Tikka Masala and Aloo Paratha in a bad way. The menu online said both were there but when I got there, it was a lunch special and neither were on the lunch specila. I guess i could have asked to order off the menu but the dude seemed bent on giving me the special so whatever. I had the butter chicken which didn’t have a lot of flavor and the chicken 65 which was spicy and good. I ordered an extra order of naan and I am glad I did because it wouldn’t have been quite enough food. The naan was chewy and a little greasy and overall didn’t seem very fresh and naan is so good usually and full of flavor that it made me sad. It was cheap, but it left me wishing for Tikka Masala.

Great, fast food and the owner was very kind. Left full and very satisfied. The $ 5.99 lunch special is a great deal. I had the tandoori chicken and butter chicken(which was excellent). Will come here again next time I’m visiting Navistar.

When I saw Green Chili I was thrilled! I love Indian food and I have seen a wave of high quality ethnic food establishments over the last 5 yrs. Neighboring naf naf being one. The place was bland. The food was barely acceptable. I had the butter chicken(which was actually pretty good) and a spicy chicken option in their lunch menu. The rice wasn’t fresh and the naan was the worst I’ve ever had. The interior décor screamed«cheap.» Hand written notes on the walls and a dirty bathroom didn’t help my experience much. On a positive note– The guy behind the counter was very nice.

This is your typical fast food, cafeteria style Indian joint, complete with the tile walls and sneeze guards. Selections aren’t as vast as other places, but the options are tasty, albeit rather oily; by the time I took my lunch back to the office, the curries separated a little and I was mildly disgusted at the explicit display of all the oil I was about to consume :(The worker was quick to explain my options to me and happily swapped out my rice for an extra order of naan… except the naan was floppy and comparable to something I popped into the microwave. sadface. The space itself is pretty small. I would recommend getting takeout if you eat here.

Update: I suspect the owner is abusing Unilocal to drum up business. At least one of the rave reviews(and all of the photos supposedly posted by a Unilocaler) are from the business itself. If you want to use Unilocal to grow your customer base: 1. Run a good business and 2. I’m pretty sure there are legitimate ways to connect with the Unilocal community, approaching us honestly as a business owner. Please don’t cheapen Unilocal for the rest of us. Anyone know how I report this?
