Stopped by there today. The sign said«Closed for renovations». The phone number is disconnected. Sad. :(

I am so disappointed to be writing that Green Chilli’s Ace Ln location food is the worse we’ve ever had. We ordered Chicked tikka masala, Kadai chicken, Naan and Onion pakora. The Naan was dry and impossible to chew it was hard. We threw it again. I don’t think it was fresh. Tikka Masala tasted really bad. Kadai chicken was just ok. The Pakora was extremely crunchy impossible to eat. I was also told that we would have rice added to our meal and when we got home their was no rice. We had to cook our own rice. I was looking for a close Indian restaurant to my house and this will not be it. I will keep driving to Cuisine of India. They have excellent food. We also attempted to call numerous time starting 5:15pm and no one answered. Our call was finally answered at 6:19pm. Restaurant opens at 5pm. Reason for calling we were ordering take away food. They have groupon currently don’t waste your money.

Strange Smelling place with questionable hygiene. Silverware had food stains. Their chef clearly doesn’t know how to cook indo-chinese it was undercooked with no flavor. It was a joke and they should just take it off their menu. Do not waste your money on the indo-chinese here. The Mango Lassi was sour. Gulab jamun tasted like instant gulab jamun, not like the ones made from scratch. Punjabi dishes were average. Nothing that knocks your socks off. Zero value for money. Very pricey for the quality they deliver.

Bought a Groupon for this restaurant. The Groupon did not apply to the lunch buffet which we were fine with. We ordered off the menu. Although the food was good, the portions were super small and did not include any sides such as rice or Naan. We ordered a chicken fried rice and another chicken dish. The chicken dish was is a small cereal type bowl and resembled a bowl of chili. The rice was ample size but missing the egg. Food was good but very overpriced. Both dishes were abt 11.00. We observed people who ordered the buffet and received endless Naan and endless trips to the buffet line all for 8.00; definately the way to go at this restaurant. It would have been nice to have received a nice basket of Naan that seemed to go to waste on the buffet eaters tables or at least a side to go with our entrees. Bottom line — overpriced and small portions, no sides, no bread

Ordered by phone for take out and was told 15 – 20 min. Got there at 20 min and they had lost my order, told me it would be another 15 – 20 minutes. Didn’t have much of a choice so I waited it out but It was an inconvenience. For $ 16 and some change I got chicken tikka masala and basmati rice — not a lot of food for the price you pay and it was just ok. Had high hopes for this place but doubtful that I’ll be back.

They catered at work today and I only had a few options to choose from, but I got the lamb vindaloo and the chili chicken and they were both yummy. A little spicy, which was to be expected, but not overpowering. However, the vegetable samosa was not the best and the naan was also not too fresh, but it was catering so it might have been out for a little while. I do not usually eat Indian food, so I was happy with what I had. I would like to try going to the restaurant and eating there to get fresh naan and samosas. My lunch was $ 11, but the portions were very generous, two pieces of naan, a huge samosa, two ½ orders of an entrée and rice. I would try it again.

There could be some improvements as far as service goes at this place. It was a little wonky as the runner didn’t seem to be that great. The hostess doubles as our waitress and she did forget our green pea rice. As far as the food goes, it was great. We shared the vegetarian sampler and all the items were cooked properly fried crisp without being greasy. I ended up getting the Chicken Korma as an entrée and it it was delicious and rich. It had all of those those spices you desire. The green pea rice ended up being the star of the show. It was subtly spiced and had a wonderful crisp texture and sweetness. Not to mention that the dish itself looked absolutely beautiful and colorful. I would definitely order from here again especially after discovering that they deliver to my apartment.

I have been going to this place for last couple of years. But lately, I have seen that prices of their menu items have gone up and quantity has reduced. Their quantity is very less compared to other Indian restaurants. I was not happy about after ordering many items from their menu, I felt they gave less quantity to what they charged to customers. I am not sure if their management changed recently because I don’t see the people who worked their earlier. My advise to them is to maintain the good quantity of menu items otherwise they will loose customers to other businesses. Their Food taste very good.

We have been coming here since it opened, but over the past year the food standards have fallen dramatically to the point of loosing our regular business. No variety and poor service standards have pushed us away.

I’m very disappointed, this is my go-to place for a quick bite. It used to have different varieties from curry, potatoes to spinach, however the last few times this is the spread they have. All orange colored dishes and the sad part is they all taste about the same :(, maybe it was just my luck so I ordered spinach daal from the menu in addition to the buffet. It came in a small bowl and it costs $ 9.95… I used to be happy as a clam eating away the spinach and rice but now… not so much. Please bring back the varieties and add some other food choices, preferably in other colors. We eat with our eyes first! :)

My husband and I went for lunch last week, and it was terrible. We have been there before, but not in quite some time. This time was not a pleasurable experience. The hostess/waitress was not friendly. As a matter of fact, after we had been seated, she never said another word to us. She poured water, but never asked if we wanted anything else to drink. After we had been to the buffet, she never asked if everything was ok. Like I stated, she never interacted with us at all after showing us to the table, and we were the only two people in the restaurant at the time. As we were leaving a few other people had arrived. I didn’t see her treat them any better than she had treated us. The food was not that great either. They had fewer selections on the buffet than I remembered. The tandoori chicken was cold, and the other dishes were luke warm at best. All the meat selections were chicken, and the same sauce was used for 3 separate dishes. This made for a rather bland meal. As far as side sauces, they did not have a spicy relish/pickle as one would normally expect. The one saving grace was the freshly cooked naan bread. It was delicious. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant. It is a shame that there are no other Indian restaurants on the far west side of Naperville, but I would rather make a longer drive than to eat here again.

Food was pretty good, atmosphere was ok. We ordered from the menu but I think the buffet would have been a better deal.

There are never any cars parked in their lot. Minus the food, I like the ice cream/sweets set up next door.

The food is great but the service is terrible! They have never had my food ready in less than an hour for pickup. I always wait 20 minutes or more once I arrive for my food. If I ever order from here again, I will order at lunch so that it will be ready in time for dinner.

$ 5.99 lunch special for two entrees, rice, and naan?! UMYES. My boyfriend and I were hesitant to enter the empty restaurant at lunchtime, but were really craving Indian food! It definitely wasn’t as authentic as tasty as the restaurants on Devon in Chicago, but was tasty, filling, and satisfying! I really liked the homemade cheese and my boyfriend really liked the butter chicken. I’d definitely go back.

I have been to dozens of Indian restaurants but I have never been to Green Chilli. Like with any Indian place, a really good introduction to the particular restaurant is to try the buffet, which I did this past Saturday($ 10.99). As a vegetarian, I was delighted to see several wonderful curries to choose from. They were all quite flavorful. I have had a lot of naan(table bread) before and I can tell you the naan here was perfect — ideal texture, thickness, and doneness level. Also, the service was great. They were nice enough to walk us up to the buffet as first-timers and show us the vegetarian section. They also were very fast to clear plates and refill water. Looking forward to a return visit.

Disclaimer: I am only giving this place 4 out of 5 star because I ordered carryout as oppose to dinning in and I know sometimes food doesn’t transport well. This is the closest Indian place near my place in Joliet and it was worth the drive. The food was really good, seeing that this was our first time trying this place we order a bunch of everything to try. We got Chicken Tikka, Lamd Roganjosh, Saag Panner, and Mutter Paneer The gravy’s were excellent, I needed to order more bread for next time. My only compliant really is that there wasn’t really a lot of meat in there dishes, only really 4 – 5 pieces of chicken. That being said, I see that in many of Indian places I go to, so I have chalked that up as being common. Also I care more about the flavor of the food and the gravys. I can’t wait to go there for dinner sometime.

I came here for the lunch buffet. It’s a totally solid place: good food, clean interior, friendly(if not a little sparse) staff. The ice cream situation is a little unclear, but I think you’re also able to get ice cream as part of the buffet. I liked it here, but there are just other spots for Indian food that have my heart. But if you’re in south Naperville and you’re feeling hot for paneer, by all means check it out.

An a-ok Indian place, and they’ve been open for 15 months. We used a certificate to try them. The food quality is good, and there were several families dining — all Indian and that’s a message on the quality. We had butter chicken(tandoori chicken in a tomato based sauce), shrimp marsala, and garlic naan. The two mains were very good, though maybe on smallish size, and the sauces went well with the basmati rice. The naan was average, and we’ve had better. They have beer and wine, including three Indian beers. We would not mind dropping in again if in the area.
