Stewart V. is hands down the BEST hair stylist I have ever went to. I have been going to him for years now, and he has never let me down. I get a stacked bob, which he always cuts to perfection. It grows back nicely so I can go a decent time before needing a trim. He has an incredible talent with colors, and I wouldn’t trust anybody else. He’s a perfectionist, so your hair will look STUNNING guaranteed. Ever since I started going to him, I receive compliments weekly from strangers on the street for my hair. I work in downtown Chicago now, and I end up telling someone about Stewart any time I take a walk on my breaks because of how often I’m stopped. I highly recommend him to anyone!!!

Love this place!!! My eyelashes have never been as beautiful since I started having lash extensions 6 months ago. The service is very friendly and they always make me feel comfortable. This is also the only place I trust with my hair, they’ve been cutting and coloring my hair for 5 years

I was getting a cut and full foil highlight. They had a new person «Steven» roaming from station to station. He was hovering over my stylist watching her color my hair and making comments. My stylist was uncomfortable and told him three times she did not work well with someone watching over her like that. (I have no idea what his position was there; he was not working with any clients, and they have a receptionist and that was not his role either). The stylist did her best but was very distracted by this. It was very uncomfortable for me having him make comments about my hair. I have been going to the same stylist for 7 years and did not want or need his input. Its too bad this salon has had a change. I will think twice before going back… It was VERY uncomfortable!
I phoned and I asked to speak to the manager when I got home to discuss it. I wanted to let them know that having someone watch my haircut and color is not pleasant and I prefer to work with my stylist without that interruption. I was told the manager was not in. I would not recommend this salon.

I have gone to both of their other locations for waxing, a facial & chair massages years & years ago.
I haven’t had my nails done in forever. Aside from manicures & gel manicures. I wanted gel nail extensions.
I called to one location but, they did not have an appointment available so the receptionist called this location & they had an opening which I thought was great.
The receptioinist was nice. She had me fill out a little form when I came in & offered me a drink.
The nail technician came & introduced herself & took me overt her station. Nice, clean & she was really nice. We chatted the entire time about this & that. I showed her a picture of what I wanted.
I have never had gel nails before so I didn’t really know what to expect. When I had to put my nails under the uv light they burned a bit so I would have to take them out of the light & then put them back under it. I read later that this is not super uncommon.
After all of my nails were cured she had me wash my hands & then asked me to pay before she polished. Which I was okay with doing since digging in tour purse after having your nails done is just asking for trouble.
When I sat back down I felt the tops of my nails & they felt lumpy/​uneven, the length was good but not all of my nail tips were shaped the same. That didn’t bother me as much as the lumpy/​uneven tops.
I pointed out one of my lumpy nails to her & she filed it a bit.
Since she didn’t check the rest of them to see how they felt I thought I should shut up because maybe when she put the polish on them it would even out the lumpy tops… It didn’t. The lumps weren’t as noticeable but they still didn’t look fantastic.
I let my polish dry some & left.
When I was on my way home I gave them a really good look at the stop light & they still looked lumpy & uneven.
I ended up getting pretty ticked since I just paid $ 70 + $ 8 tip for them but I absolutely didn’t want to go back to her because I figured they would just get even more messed up.
She let me leave thinking that she had done a great job so, I didn’t trust her to fix them.
I ended up going to a little shop (the kind of place I was trying to stay away from) & even she said they looked terrible especially after she got off the polish. embarrassing that I paid $ 70 for it…
I paid her $ 13 to properly file the tops to be smooth & to make the tips even & shape them like they are in the picture, the same picture I showed the nail tech at Elegante.
I called Elegante after I had them fixed & the receptionist said I should have come back so the lady could fix them… but she would let the manager know & the manager would call me on monday.
I spoke with the manager this morning. She apologized about 10 times. She told me that because I didn’t come back to let them fix my nails & she didn’t see them that theres nothing she can do to help me except give me a $ 13 gift certificate (the amount I paid to have them fixed) to their spa.
Service has to be pretty awful for me to complain because I know everyone messes up sometimes & everyone has a bad day.
I was not looking to get something for nothing.
The nail tech did put time & some effort into what she did but I could have probably done the same quality work if I had tried to do them myself…& I would have filed the tops smooth.
Really I thought asking for ½ of what I paid + the $ 13 I paid to have her sloppy work fixed was fair.
I understand that nail tech has been there for 17 years… great, that doesn’t mean she didn’t do a terrible job on my nails.
She did.
I would never go back to any of their spas just for this 1 experience because god forbid you don’t handle the situation the way they think it should be handled. in my opinion & my personal experience with the manager at this location… It will not be fixed, not even willing to meet ½ way.

Heather colored my hair last week and she did a wonderful job! She is very professional and listens well to what you want done. The receptionist was very sweet and professional as well. I highly recommend this place!

Nice little spa/​salon with reasonable prices on the 75^th strip. The «spa» area has a pretty good sound barrier from the salon part (yay relaxation!)
If you want deep tissue massage, ask for Sydney! I have had many, many massages and can usually handle deep tissue like a pro, but this girl is not fooling around. I had to give the «um, a little less pressure, please!» a couple of times. Good work-​out of the knots, though!
Gerta did a great job with my European facial: a relaxing experience, but functional too, and the extractions were achieved with minimal pain!
The place is clean and restful but you are not getting the whole resort experience of course (hey, you’re in a strip mall), so set expectations accordingly. Prices are good, and service was too. Overall, this elegant experience was one I hope to repeat!
