The Napa Sea Ranch is a contrast to Sonoma County’s more famous one with its avant-garde outdoor chapel. Like the Inverness Market, it’s got a shipwreck, but it’s far more wrecked. It’s a public fishing pier. It’s been cleaned up over the years. On a Saturday morning, people picnic&fish along the river in the fog. It’s a short jaunt from the Napa Marina, the epicenter of the August 2014 quake, and it looks incredibly placid. They have good public restrooms. It draws friendly, helpful people. There’s a restored«Moore’s Landing» building that was once a restaurant– unfortunately, it’s vacant. A place with a promising future.
