I have ridden sporadically as an adult at a number of different stables. Hilltop Stables is by far the best stable I have been to. The feeling is very relaxed and supportive. The horses are well loved and cared for. Linda does a great job tailoring the lessons to fit the desires and level of the rider. Everyone is very supportive. The views are stunning. I am so glad that I found this stable and hope to continue to ride here for some time to come. Thank you!

Hilltop Stables is a terrific place to learn English-​style horseback riding with picturesque views and a serene riding environment. My 9-​year old son began lessons in early 2012 and still looks forward to each and every lesson. He began learning all the important basics and is now comfortable completing multiple dressage tests, cantering jumps in an arena and even completing cross-​country courses! He has gained self confidence and an incredible sense of responsibility. Linda Betts is a respectful, encouraging and challenging instructor who cares for each rider and their safety. Linda also has a genuine heart for the care and well-​being of each and every horse who calls Hilltop Stables home.

Hilltop Stable’s owner/​instructor, Linda Betts, provides a warm and welcoming environment for new and experienced riders. When I first visited, I felt right at home with the people and the horses. Linda makes a point of introducing everyone to you, which creates a supportive and caring environment for making new friends. She takes excellent care of the school horses and boarders. Linda nurtures young riders by providing fun and interesting camps and encourages students to ride in the schooling shows she hosts, which markedly help improve their skills. She works with each student at their level and at a comfortable pace. Whether you are new to riding, experienced, or are returning to riding after many years, Linda can teach you new skills and help you develop confidence in the process. I have improved my dressage skills tremendously over the past 1 ½ years and enjoy every lesson.

When I started riding with Linda 2 years ago, I was definitely a beginner in the world of English riding and eventing. I came into the barn timid and lacking confidence. Within the first few lessons, Linda helped instill a sense of confidence in me which has improved my riding (and other areas of my life) incredibly. She is a kind, knowledgeable, motivated, encouraging instructor. I always feel safe under her guidance. And the horses! They are the best! Good-​natured, responsive, well-​trained, and happy. My weekly lesson is the best day of my week!

I started out just wanting to know the basics and feel comfortable around horses. What I have gained is a working knowledge of dressage and a love for stadium jumping. Next up… cross country! I don’t think I could have come this far without Linda and the wonderful horses at Hilltop Stables. I have found a hobby and a love for riding that will last a lifetime!
