Was at the Nanuet location around Valentines day. The women who assisted me was very pleasant and friendly. I believe her name was Reneisl. She made sure that my gift was nicely wrapped and perfect for my boyfriend. She also helped me pick out the best fragrance for him. All the years that I’ve been to Macy’s in Nanuet I’ve never received such great customer service. Thank you!

The worst Macy’s I have ever been into. Never a staff member at any registers. Staff that you do get to help you are NASTY. If this horror is the anchor for the new shops I think the shops will be doomed.

I felt like the man in the maze as I navigated through the meager selection of merchandise in hot pursuit of somebody… Anybody that could ring me up! I JUSTWANTEDSOCKS! It became a 30 minute ordeal. Finally I was able to purchase my socks in the Fine Jewelry section by the lovely associate by the name of Ruby. I suggested she send a search party for the rest of the staff or just admit to the other patrons and me that they are in the witness protection program. Mr. Macy would rollover in his grave. God rest his soul! Special thanks to Ruby! I really NEEDED those socks!!!

Previously, Macy’s was rotting in the old Nanuet Mall. The store was ugly and outdated, and going was silly anyways, since there was nothing of note nearby(so why not just go to the(Paiisades) Mall?) Now, it’s a major fixture in the new Shops at Nanuet. Even on busy days, parking is not an issue… and if you’re going to the rest of the mall, Macy’s is probably the best place to park to avoid the crowds. The building itself is only slightly renovated, but it now connects out to the rest of the outdoor mall. The sales here are under-appreciated — on Black Friday, today, I found a stack of sweaters that were on sale for 20 dollars(originally priced from 65 – 125), so that was fun.

This Macy’s is rather nice, pretty clean, always empty, but is probably not long for this world as the mall it’s attached to is zombified and on the way out.

Some pleasant staff, some not so much. I was there during a one day sale and sifted through a treasure trove of Steampunk costume jewelry. I brought my pile of pretties to the counter where the gal proceed to ring up someone on the complete opposite end of the counter first. Okay, so that person was buying actual precious metals vs. the tchotchke schlock I had in my hand– but I had enough to choke an elephant at the cost of just as much if not more than the other patron. I verbally interupt their sale to inquire where another staff counter was to purchase from. It’s all commission sale, so why not give that extra % where I can get some service?

The Nanuet Mall is desolate and deserted. Perfect! I can actually park my car during the X-Mas rush and shop with out distress. Macy’s always has a sale going on which makes me a happy camper. Even better is the place is generally neat and organized, other than the clearance area. I was able to purchase items for the kids in the family and not feel that I was robbed at the register. Also, the nice cashier gave me an extra coupon that was lying around. The juniors section is adorable. I actually liked the clothes for me! I don’t remember having such sophisticated clothing when I was little. Good prices, good service. I hope Macy’s Nanuet stays.
