Still love Joanne and highly recommend Head People to anyone looking for a kind professional and consistent stylist. I’ve been back a number of times and she’s always done a fantastic job at cutting and styling my hair. Again — this is coming from a chic with A LOT of curly hair — most stylists get lost just trying to part it! You know when you’re having someone cut your hair for the first time and you see that look of abject fear/trepidation enter their eyes and then you realize, «Oh s*** they have scissors!!!» Haha yeah that’ll never happen with Joanne.

I have been to this salon many times. I had one negative experience years ago with a woman who no longer works there. When I saw a groupon available a couple of years ago, I decided to try again with a different stylist. I scheduled with Joanne and I couldn’t be happier. She is one of the only stylists I’ve ever been to that leaves me with the look I came in wanting. She’s wonderfully kind and personable as well, so I always feel comfortable coming in to see her. I’ve recommended her to at least a dozen people who can’t find a hair stylist who will listen to them and the ones who took my advice are all hooked! I must say that the environment there is very relaxed. The staff is like family, and I know that some clients consider that unprofessional. The casual atmosphere doesn’t bother me at all as long as I feel I am a priority to them as a client. They also serve coffee and bagels in the mornings which can help pass the time while being colored or drying. I cannot recommend Joanne enough!

Another great visit with Joanne. This time she diffused my hair like I always do so I was very happy about that because I hate just sitting under dryers. She really listens to what you want and she always offers to touch it up if your not completely happy with it when you get home. Thanks Joanne! I’m so glad to finally have found someone that knows how to handle curly hair :)

I have no idea how this place is still in business. I walked in and it was like an abandoned salon, not one stylist or person in sight. An older man walked up to me, very disheveled looking, and asked what I needed. I asked for a quick blow dry and how much. He looked at my hair for 2 seconds and said $ 50! I have never paid more than $ 35 – 40 so this price sent me running. $ 50 with a tip on top of that is absolutely ludicrous of a price, this is not Manhattan. I went across the street to Vogue and got it done for $ 35. Never ever stepping foot in there again.
