The only reason I’m giving easy street cantina this high of a rating is for the burritos here! Everything else is sub par and not worth the money. Children love it here because they can get Mac and cheese, or a burger, or chicken tenders and French fries. The food that actual adults want to eat is slim to none. BUT that being said I think the burritos at tacos tacos are amazing! You can order them to go or you can eat there for a quick lunch or dinner. You can even call ahead and place an order but no matter what you do order the burrito! The chicken burrito is probably my favorite, it’s pulled chicken and it’s just delicious. This is probably the closest thing you can get to a chipotle or qdoba on island.

Not super expensive but the tacos are a $ 1 more than they should be. The fish tacos are decent but they are not of a great quality. I wouldn’t order them again and that is sad to say when your on a freaking island! Fish tacos should be your speciality! The burritos are a lot better and are a good size. I have to say that with a little more love and attention to quality this place could easily be a four star spot. It has a great location and plenty of outdoor seating.

Yes, it’s expensive, but you’re on Nantucket, everything is expensive. Been here a few times and my favorite part is that they have choco tacos! I don’t know anywhere else to get them! If your vegetarian they have plenty of options, and the tortilla pizza is huge and great. Nit great looking on the inside, and the music is a bit intense and loud.

Great non nonsense breakfast for $ 5. Note… don’t expect much in the way of ambiance and amenities. But for a filling and tasty breakfast for $ 5, you honestly should not care.

UPDATE — Tacos Tacos is now located in the Easy Street Cantina a few doors down from it’s old location. We can still get those amazing nachos! WOOHOO WHYOHWHYDIDYOUHAVETOCLOSE? I’ve always loved the nachos grande with extra cheese and was disappointed during my last trip to Nantucket to find you closed. The location is now a coffee shop. Spent 9 summers on Nantucket and LOVED coming here. I cannot find nachos as good as yours ANYWHERE!!!

Very expensive for awful food, this is the closest thing to fast food that Nantucket has, yet you will end up paying as much as you would to go to a sit down restaurant a block away. Go down past the Bike Shop and grab a slice of pizza instead. I paid $ 11 for chicken fingers and small fries, yikes. I know it’s Nantucket, but come on this is price gouging to the max. Tables are also left first come, first served and never cleaned by the staff. Grab a napkin and do it yourself.

Ive been eating here since i was a little kid,(when it used to be were Walters is, or whatever tourist scam shitty food place it is now). And i honestly can say with a straight face i only remember it about 5 times, though ive probly dined there over 100. Drunk college/high school kids on hot summer nights. whats not to love. but at about 4 bucks per taco, its not cheap by any standards.

Just say NO! Don’t do it to your self no mater how drunk you are. Or how drunk your friends are be the good friend and say NO. If you don’t listen to me than you will pay for it on the morning.

Great Mexican, was a haunt when I was wee lad. The fajitas were good, and so were the burritos.

Finally, whatever cosmic force has jurisdiction over Nantucket stepped in and closed the legendary Taco’s Taco’s. This place was an institution. It had been open many, many years… and man, was it horrible. Worse than Taco Bell. Easily the most disgusting food on island, even more than the Old South Diner/Market. The burrito was a scoop each of rubbery, melted velveeta, disgusting ground beef oozing bright orange grease and some old lettuce. The mixture would quickly turn a tortilla sopping wet. Then, you’d have to fork out fifty cents to use their bathroom. However, it was open late night, and if you drunk enough, and the right kind of drunk, Taco’s Taco’s could be delicious. But that’s all over now…

This is the only place that will be open to eat if you visit in the winter during renovation season, so take some Maalox and dive in.

for cheap eats on Nantucket, Tacos Tacos is the place to go. And I always leave with a bottle of the green hot sauce. YUM. I’m sad it split with the Centre Street Grill, since they offered the seasoned cheese fries and falafel wrap, but Tacos Tacos is an experience not to be missed!
