My fiancé grew up coming to Nantucket once every two years for a couple of weeks. She has many memories, and opinions, and talked the place up quite a bit before our arrival. The Portuguese bread in my opinion was pretty good, but nothing special. In fact that is what they should change the name of this place to. Everything I had here from their new branded organic drinks, made to compete with Nantucket Nectar, to the sandwiches, muffins, and cookies. They were all nothing special. I spent weeks reading reviews on lobster rolls in the New England area before our trip. I even contacted a friend from Rhode Island to see what he recommended. I was told that this place was the best. What i got was an over priced soggy tasteless mayowich. Even though I specified that I was not a huge fan of mayo, and wanted none if the lobster salad came with it. If they didn’t add mayo then I am terrified of imagining the rivers of mayo squeezing out of this thing if I had ordered it with mayo. The only reason i went here several times is that is was walking distance from the house on Cliff Road. Save yourself some money and find another spot to get your breakfast or lunch. If you have to go, skip the lobster sandwich.

Was happy to find this place for a quick lunch nearish to town(8 – 10 min). It has that Cape Cod outdoor sandwich place feel that you can’t really find in ACK anymore. Food is spot on and prices are cheap(for Nantucket). I had a full curry chicken salad sandwich and it was ginormous, I also LOVED that it’s made with mustard and not overly sweet, but not everyone might like it this way. Portuguese bread was perfect and broccoli cheddar soup was richer than a lobster soup. Was also surprised to see it open in the off-season(October). A previous reviewer mentioned they are cash only, but this is not true, they take credit card, no issue(we almost never carry cash anymore so this is appreciated). Oh and don’t forget a dessert too if you save room.

Best sandwiches on island, hands down. Do yourself a favor and get your sammich on Portuguese bread! Their home-made breads are a treat, as are their salad sides, and fresh baked cookies.

Back at it. The bread. The cookies. The sandwiches. DAYUM. You honestly can’t go wrong with any sandwich. They had a few dark years, but I’m super pumped to say that they’re back at it. Their sandwiches are the truth. — Sheila’s Favorite — Smoked turkey, tomato and swiss on oatmeal — Lobster salad — Honey baked, swiss and tomato. — Avocado, cheddar and chutney. Any of those are home runs and those are the only ones I have in rotation. I’m confident all the other options are as equally delicious. They did do away with soda? Both a good thing(for health), but a bad thing since I do love me a diet coke. Order and eat there or take it go and have yourself a lil’ picnic at the beach. Either way, you’re winning.

A visit to Nantucket is not complete without visiting Something Natural. The sandwiches there are so fresh and yummy. It’s very kid and vegetarian friendly. The bread is unbelievable. I always have to take a few loaves of the herb bread home with me. Don’t forget to get a cookie for dessert. ;)

Lovely setting off Cliff Road, where picnic tables await under spreading trees after you return from a bike ride. I had half a ham and all sorts of toppings on six grain, hubby had BLT. Ginormous servings, a half will satisfy most appetites Bread is amazing, a Nantucket classic!

I have been going to Something Natural for as long as I can remember. The bread, a sandwiches, and cookies are always impeccable. Chocolate chip cookies are my fave. I love their oatmeal, Portuguese, and raisin bread. On Wednesdays and Saturdays they have«cheesy syd» bread — think cheesy bread with jalapeños. Definitely has a bite! Their sandwiches are huge — you only need a half. I love their veggie sandwiches, smoked turkey, ham, and BLT sandwiches too. Seriously, you can’t go wrong!!!

Great lunch spot! The location is awesome and the sandwiches are delicious. I ordered a turkey sandwich with chutney, avocado and cheddar; it was amazing. I highly recommend the chutney and the Portuguese bread. So yummy. I also got a chocolate chip cookie and that was delicious too! Would recommend this place for anyone, especially families. Lots of room for kids to run around.

Portuguese bread is a must! Love the bread, which is for sale at the bakery as well as the island’s stop and shops! Every year on our summer vacation, we stock up on a minimum of 5 loaves before leaving to freeze and enjoy when we’re not on Nantucket. The sandwiches are to die for! Made to order with fresh meats, cheeses, and veggies. Definitely worth a stop by when on the island!

The Portuguese bread here is easily the best bread on the island. If they shipped their bread I would purchase mass amounts of it, it’s that good! Not only is the bread here absolutely amazing but the sandwiches here are all made to order and can be customized in any which way. They have a great outdoor are that is conducive to sitting outside and enjoying your food. Prices are a little steep for a sandwich but it’s well worth it!

A sandwich shop that offers basic sandwiches, homemade cookies and muffins. Do not go near it during lunchtime. There’s minimal parking and the staff struggles to keep up with the rush. There really isn’t anything at all special about this place other than you’re «cool» if you know it’s there because it’s one of those hidden places that only the locals know about. If you’re into that kind of thing, then give it a try; otherwise, no big deal to pass this up. Oh, and 4 sandwiches with drinks and chips cost $ 77.

Would recommend this place to anyone! Prime location between Steps Beach and downtown Nantucket(we went for lunch on the way back from the beach). We shared a lobster roll, which was not only ENORMOUS but also delicious and excellent quality — super fresh, with massive chunks of lobster. Delish! Not the easiest to see from the road — you need to really be looking for it, which makes me think it’s more of a local joint, rather than geared toward tourists. But these here tourists were super pleased with the find!

Perfect lunch spot. Hidden away in a wooded park with adorable picnic tables. The variety of freshly baked bread makes the sandwiches delicious. And the carrot cake was simply divine. Price is right, too! A half sandwich is super filling, even for my husband.

Lovely place on Cliff St located down a long driveway. It’s almost like you’re entering the perfect little picnic spot to sit out with your family when you venture to Something Natural. They have a fairly decent variety of sandwich options. Select your bread and any additional add ons. Standard toppings are lettuce, tomato, mayo, and mustard. Unless it already states it comes with cheese, cheese is $ 1 extra(same with bacon and a few other add ons). Pickles, red onions, and those veggies are 0.30¢ extra. Half a sandwich runs anywhere from $ 5.50-$ 6 with a whole setting at $ 9.50-$ 10. Extras can really add up if you’re not careful. The half a sandwich is huge and that’s what I’ve stuck with so far, but the whole seems worth the price and can be saved for later or shared. No indoor seating so after you order(cash only here) you can head outside and sit on one of the picnic benches to enjoy your sandwich. Quick sandwich prep, cute venue, and reasonable prices for Nantucket? Something Natural is worth stopping by often.

Skip the sandwiches on the main roads and head here! The bread is amaze balls. I had a veggie sandwich and didn’t miss the meat. It is quite busy and parking looked like a pain(we walked) maybe bring a blanket to sit on, there are benches but there was a line all the way around and down the stairs, so imagine finding a bench! Love this place.
