This was originally Stuccio’s but the recipe was bought out by Joe who has been working there for a long time, and is now the owner. This is a sweet sauce pizza and good. It can get goopy so prepare yourself.

I have eaten pizza in 27US states, and I can say, unequivocally, this is the best pizza I’ve ever had. PERFECT crust, delicious slightly-sweet sauce, just a little cheese… My meter for«good pizza» has just been recalibrated. I’m afraid nothing will stand up to what we just had from Joe’s Pizza. Wow.

I had a meeting in Wilkes Barre and had to find a pizza place to get some lunch. So I went to Unilocal, and looked at the reviews and figured I’d give Joe’s a shot. Found the place and went in asked if they had slices. No slices, so I thought about it and decided to just get a large pie and bring whatever was left home. Placed my order with Joe, and he began asking me how I liked my pizza. Did I like more or less cheese, more or less sauce, how well done I wanted it, etc. He proceeded to make my pie and said he would show me the pie to ensure it was done the way I wanted. As my pie was cooking, we got to talking and Joe was telling about his history in the business, and the history of the place. He is a very interesting gentleman, and he is probably one of the nicest people I have met. We had some good discussions about pizza his strombolis which he was very proud of. I didn’t get to try one, but looking at the articles on the wall, they are something. After some time my pie came out, and he showed it to me and I asked for it to go in a little bit more. Waited a fees minutes and he pulled out the pie and started slicing it up. He asked me if I wanted to try it before I left and I said sure. He cut a piece into a smaller piece and I handed me a plate. I slid the hot slice onto the plate and looked it over, and then took my first bite. First thing that hit me was a delicious sweet sauce, then the cheese and the crispness of the crust. The crust was thin and not doughy and had a great crisp to it. The sauce, cheese and crust all worked well together and tasted wonderful. Who would have thought that you could get pizza this good in the middle of nowhere. I’m a little sad that I live so far from this place as I would like to go back again and again. If you are ever remotely near this place, do yourself a favor and stop by. You wont be disappointed.

Best pizza ever. Been going there since I was a kid and the pizza hasn’t changed. Again the asshole at Unilocal want me to write a full book before they let me post my review. Why do they do that most people here are reviewing food or service so why do we have too add all this fluff? It good food and good people what more do you need you need to know.

Cheese and crust are seriously delicious! The sauce is a little sweet for me, but the cheese balances the sweetness very well. I’ll definitely be back!

Pretty tasty sauce, on the sweet side(which i like) cheese is in between stringy and goopy(i prefer goopy) but the CRUSTISAMAZING! It’s almost like a pie crust, buttery flaky awesome!
