My family and I have been here multiple times and really enjoy building our own meals, enjoying each other’s company and having leftovers for the next day. I would typically rate it a four considering I have always enjoyed my meal and had a good time while visiting. Never has my enjoyment been due to the service but more due to the company I bring with me to eat. Our most recent visit was on a Sunday evening, one hour before their listed closing time. Cook’s looked irritated when we walked in but we weren’t the only ones there and they always look that way so I didn’t hardly notice much but it did cause me to check the closing time on the door because I didn’t want to be an inconvenience. When we started making our bowls, I noticed that one half was closed and empty. No problem because I work at a restaurant myself and figured they were just pre closing. However the side that was open looked like it hadn’t been restocked in a while and some of my favorite veggies and meats weren’t available. I could have asked but I figured I’d make due with what was out. Not sure how the rest of my family felt about it but I have to add that numerous other customers started arriving after us and if I ran the Mongolian bbq, I certainly would have restocked considering the amount of business coming in but it did not seem that they were doing so. Upon getting to my table a find water and bowl of white rice that literally has ¼ of rice in it. Typically the 1 cup size bowl is packed but not tonight. Looked like they had to split it up so all five members of my group could have a taste. Again, I wasn’t going to make a deal out of it because I didn’t necessarily come for the white rice but at every other visit, it’s been a packed bowl and an expectation. This is where I began to consider reviewing the restaurant. Then, the iced tea I ordered arrived but it was barely a darker shade than water. I looked at the server and she said that if I didn’t like it, she could make me more. I told her not to worry about it but to please not charge me for it because i was opting to have water instead. I believe a 3 star review is average and this was below that. It would’ve been a 1 but I’ve been there enough to know that I’m going for the food, not the customer service or friendliness. Food is always good, considering they essentially just fry whatever is in the bowl that you give them but my last visit made me consider that there must be other places in the valley to enjoy Mongolian style eating.

This place was very good. If I’m ever up in the area again I will definitely stop here again. Only problem I had was I should of went a bowl smaller then what I got.

Good place to go if you want something cheap and filling… Weak in flavor and not a lot of meat options to choose from.

Basically the original Mongolian BBQ joint. I’ve been eating here since I was a kid and now take my kids. A good selection of fresh veggies, meats, and sauces to make a great bowl. The small bowl is plenty for me to eat and my kids usually eat about ¼ of the kids one. The rice is always overcooked, but that’s not why we got there anyway. One time my daughter dropped her bowl right as the cook handed it to her and they made sure she was ok first and had her make another one. They were so kind about the mess. The waitstaff is always hit or miss. They had a girl there the last time that had the loudest stinking laugh I’ve ever heard. She needed to muffle things to make it enjoyable for everyone.

Clean establishment and good food. Service was ok. No warm greeting, just asked how many. Check out– the guy just outstretched his hand without a word. Handed him my check and card. Was handed the receipt for signature, a pen, and my card. I signed it and without anything further acknowledgement I left. I would return just for the food but the business would be great if you felt welcomed.

Similar to other Mongolian BBQs, I would drive this one as okay. The vegetables are sometimes noticeably wilted, but the nature of the BBQ makes that matter less. The service is fine for such an establishment. The coffee is among the worst I have had, and their creamer is powdered only and contains trans fats… Not that one visits a Mongolian restaurant for the coffee. There most important point is the cost. Despite any shortcomings, you get a lot of pretty good food for a very low price.

The food is amazing! The server named Peggy is an expert at mixing the sauces. She makes you feel at home and creates an at home environment. If I could eat here everyday I would! I have dreams of the leftovers alone! Truly amazing!

People are nice and friendly. Plenty to choose from. Not trying to be a snob, just stating it honestly. The sauces may not be made from scratch, and lack some flavor, but not bad. I got a slight belly-ache and I rarely do from eating anywhere. The veggies were pretty fresh, but not as fresh as a couple that I’ve eaten at in CA.

This is the best Mongolian grill I have been to in Idaho. The prices are decent, and if the food is bad, you have no one to blame except yourself because you add your ingredients and they cook it for you. The atmosphere is open and loud especially if you go during Friday or Saturday dinner, so I would recommend going either before or after these times. Overall, I’ve been frequenting this establishment for 3 years and I’ve always had a good time, service is good, food is great.

FIRESAUCE! Good old Mongolian BBQ. You can’t go wrong. Why are we always eating here? Oh yeah. Dump on the fire sauce.

This is by far the best Mongolian BBQ location in Caldwell or Nampa. While the location is tired, and the staff is a bit on the lower end side, the food is great, and it is efficient. While this place isn’t classy, if you are looking for Mongolian BBQ this is THE place to go!

I love to go there for the best ‘top rammen’ kind of food there is. It is best when you go during dinner time, because of the fancy tricks the chef likes to do with your order. This is the kind of place that gets better and better every time you go, because you basically design your bowl and let the chef cook it up and you get better at designing you bowl every time. Experiment People!

I haven’t been in Idaho for at least five years. I did my highschool years in Nampa. So, I’ve visited this dive of a restaurant many many times. I must say, I really miss the place. I live in LA, land of gourmet food and wonderful things. You name it, we got it. But, I haven’t found a mongolian BBQ I like as much as this place. I don’t know what it is, but it’s wonderful. Go!
