Our long time teacher became unavailable, so I needed a place for my 8 and 10 year old for temporary lessons for approximately 2 – 3 months prior to moving from the area. This place was a gem! Informative, accommodating, kind, the owners are amazing and their teachers are knowledgeable and patient. My kids both loved it and I’m sad we cannot continue due to the proximity to our new home. It’s going to be challenging to find a place as great! I saw my children have more growth coming here for just a short period then they did after many months with their previous teacher. I wish I had found this place sooner! All their teachers are wonderful.

My daughter(now 6) has been taking piano lessons for over a year and enjoys it. Her instructor is Daniel, he has the right amount of patience and humor to make the lessons pleasant. She has also had make-up lessons with George, Emmanuel, and Laurie; all of which were such professionals and each with their own style. The place is small, but it has three piano rooms. In addition, the owners(Emmanuel and Laurie) put on two recitals each year at a nearby location with a grand piano, a detail that was very exciting for my daughter. We are truly pleased with her growing abilities playing the piano, and we are very appreciative at the warm and friendly attention provided by Daniel and the rest of the team.

My 5-year-old daughter started the early childhood(group) lessons 3 months ago and has been inspired to practice & learn. She’s now moving to individual lessons. Daniel, her teacher, is patient & encouraging, while being strict enough that she is inspired to practice and do her best. We’re thrilled that we can expose her to musical knowledge at this age, and can’t wait to start our son in lessons when he gets a bit older.

Very small cozy place. The owner came into meet with us because his wife was sick. They have different rooms set up with pianos. Sound equipment and such as well. The gentlemen Emanuel was nice. They went over philosophies of piano as well as a bit on the teaching in specifics. Jenn seemed to love it as well. Give it a shot right? Why not?

The Southern California Piano Academy is the place to go for anyone looking for piano lessons in a fun, upbeat environment with real professionals. Emmanuel and his crew are great with kids, and he is a kind and very patient man. In fact, my boss and his father, Charles Crenshaw(THE piano magnate of Burbank) have sworn by these guys for decades, referring to them almost exclusively as the crème de la crème in piano teaching. Their sophistication and wide breadth of knowledge is compiled by a cosmopolitan group of teachers with a strong handle on both European and American styles of music. They provide so much more than your run-of-the-mill piano lessons, incorporating their own signature class and positivity to each varying need. Like Juan said, this place has more than earned their 5-star rating!

I take my daughter here for weekly piano lessons. The owner Emmanuel is an amazing piano teacher. He is very flexible with scheduling and offers a day for make ups if you miss a class. My daughter has improved her piano skills ever since we switched piano schools and came here. We are very lucky to have found Southern California Piano School. I normally don’t give 5 stars, but this place has earned it.
