Waited an hour for our food only to get it out cold as ice. Manager took care of the bill but once i bit into the cold food or turned my stomach and i lost my appetite. I have to say ill never eat here again.

First time here. Food was wonderful, server was courteous and quick. Overall quiet despite being in between two large groups.

If you have to go to O’Charley’s then you should avoid this location and go to the Summerville location where everything is great. At this location we got out of the office for lunch. We ordered off of the lunch menu and were asked if we would like our soup before or with our meal. We opted for before. We were given our drinks(water and tea). We were also told that rolls just came out of the oven and that she’d bring some right out. The drinks came pretty quick! We were off to a good start! About 15 minutes later we were given a basket of flat little rolls. These were sad looking rolls. Not sure they remembered to put the yeast in the batch??? My husband finished his tea. The waitress was helping other tables but never came back to us. About 30 minutes after ordering we started realizing that we still didn’t have our soup, nor did my husband have a refill of his tea. We finally got food(and soup) 43 minutes after ordering. The waitress left the food, didn’t bother refilling the drinks and went on her way. She didn’t apologize for how long it took nor did she offer an explanation. We were rushed so we couldn’t take the time to eat. We ate a little and then asked for to-go boxes and a refill go to. That took another 10 min. Overall, the service was slow and unfriendly. I would not recommend this restaurant for lunch.

Horrible! I’ve been in the restaurant industry gor over 10 yrs. I walk in with 3 others. The host where sarcastic and rude, sat for about 10 minutes. …no server so I walked out. I should have read the other reviews(which seem to be pretty bad) One could only assume the food is as bad, but Ill never know won’t be going to ANY O’charleys.

I was not impressed. Sat at the bar were only three other people were sitting. Slow service. Ordered a glass of Cabernet and icewater. Over five minutes later receive the Cabernet, no water. About another 10 minutes, my order was finally taken and I also asked for water again. No water. And another glass of wine. My meal comes out and it is incorrect. This just continued to happen with anything that I asked for. The manager even came and checked on me, and knew I was missing part of my dinner, but that certainly did not make them bring it out any faster. Quality was meh.

This is always a great place to eat. The wife and I love it. Good variety of food and close to a lot of shopping places so you can walk it off. Service is always pretty quick and we have never had a complaint.

I’ve wanted to try this joint out for a while since I see one wherever I go in the Charleston area, my wife has always denied my request! We went to watch a movie but our time slot was sold out so we passed the time here. Overall the service, food, and beer was okay! However, there was a disconnect somewhere. We had two hours to kill and had beer and appetizers the latter which came out 20 minutes before our«drop dead» time to leave… I don’t understand. Three appetizers took almost an hour to get and they were not busy!

Went to the N. Charleston O“Charley’s after a day of shopping with my mom and sister. It was clean, and the waiter was attentive and pleasant. The food was standard. It was about what you would expect from a place of this price range/atmosphere. They had some interesting cocktails available on the menu(grapefruit martini something or other). An a-ok place for a quick lunch. Diner beware: They give you TONS of food. Menu Highlights: — Fried Pickles(appetizer) — Famous Chicken Fingers — Salads are great — Dinner rolls(free for all) — Cocktails — Potato Skins — Loaded Potato Soup

SMOKING, REALLY ???, we went somewhere else. You can smell the smoke, in today’s age I was shocked to smell smoke. My wife was disappointed as she was really looking forward to the eating there. But when you smell the smoke you think your back in the time. Stay away from here unless you smoke.

Very pleasant meal. Nick our server was very attentive. Short wait for drinks and food. The triple decker was stuffed with meat and very good. My husbands lunch was also very good. Reasonable prices and loads of fun sounding punches to drink. We left happy and pleased.

Well my wife and I decided to eat here. We were thinking that the food was going to be good as usual. The hostess seated us at a table that was not set and looked like it had not been wiped down and walked away before we could say anything. There were plenty of clean tables around us that we could have been seated at. The server came up to us to take our order and we had to asked to be moved. No one attempted to clean this table. We were seated at a different table with a different server. The new server was a little bit better. The food was terrible. I ordered a steak with both of my sides being bacon smashed potatoes. My wife had chicken fingers with french fries and hush puppies for her sides. The presentation of our food looked like it was just thrown on a plate the same way that you would see in a prison lunch room scene of a movie. Not to mention I was only suppose to have two sides of mashed potatoes not four. I was embarrassed at how much food was on my plate. It looked like I was eating for three! The taste of our food was terrible! My steak tasted like it was cooked in a microwave, the mashed potatoes were not cooked all the way. The chicken that my wife had was over cooked and coated with grease. The face that my wife made when she bit into a hush puppy is indescribable. She quickly through it down and said that it tasted like it was frozen. She did not even try the french fries because the food was so bad. The food was so bad that we just had to get out of there. We paid and left. We were there for about thirty minutes. One star because of the second server and that is even questionable.

So, O’Charley’s is always kind of our go-to for dinner when we want to go out but can’t decide. So. I can give it that we have come back. I’m writing this review over two experiences that I’ve had recently. First and foremost, you get bread with your meal which is something I love(hello, carbs, old friend). I’ve gotten really nice fluffy and warm rolls, and this past time I got cold rocks, which was weird for me considering how busy they were. They were room temperature at best, chewy(and not the way you want bread to be), and felt incredibly oily. The food is okay, it usually comes out warm and in a timely fashion. It’s all very obviously frozen and pre-made, though. The steak always comes out with the outside being super tough and the inside being cooked either too over or too under what you order. The servers are a mixed bag. I don’t really sense any professionalism amongst them(and I don’t care if it’s «just a job along the way», I’ve worked in food and bev. starting when I was 15 and I took it seriously while I was there). Like the description of 2 stars suggests: «Meh. I’ve experienced better.»

Came in for quick drink, and my husband and I ended up sitting at the bar for 10 minutes before we left. There were plenty of people sitting at the bar, but low and behold, no bartender. Quite a few servers saw us at the bar… not one got the bartender, or tried to help us. Never again.

Have dined here before, but the last trip is the last. 3 hostesses, seated immediately, walked by 4 servers made eye contact with 2 of them. Sat for 15 minutes and nothing, was not busy, went to find a manager, she is watchinga horse race! Told the hostess why we where leaving… oh ok. Really? Lol. Applebees across the street was very glad to see us, even got a free appetizer after the manager heard our story!

Service was great, but it was as if people were screaming in there. My steak was properly cooked, and tasted good… but it was in the Top 3 for being the hardest to cut due to a large gristle on one side and right down the center.

I come here a lot so I would normally give 5 stars. Their drinks are amazing. I usually get the honey drizzled chicken with the broccoli cheese rice and it’s so good. The only thing is today we had reservations with a group of 20 and we only had one server(her name is Kaitlynn). The managers or any other server were nowhere to be found to help her. Outside of that I love this place. Even though they had our waitress by herself. She was awesome!

We found the dinner specials appealing… complete meal with their steak specials. Wait staff was attentive and helpful. Not a O’Charley’s in our immediate area, so it was a change of pace. Bread rolls were a store bought variety. Mixed drinks were very good, and had a nice crowd. Lighting was less on a romantic side but this doubles as a steak/rib/chicken family eatery. Enjoyable …

We came here after walking out of nearby King Street Grille cos we couldn’t get waited on over there. It wasn’t very crowded. the hostess greeted us and we were seated with menus. After five minutes or more, we began feeling like we were not going to be waited on again. The not too overly enthusiastic waiter finally came with delicious rolls and asked us what we wanted to drink. We went ahead and placed the food orders cos we were hungry, it was already 6 pm or later. The waiter came back later to ask my boyfriend what he had ordered cos I guess they don’t write orders down and he forgot. I got my chicken tenders and honey mustard fairly quickly cos it was on the appetizer menu. The meat was tender and moist and the breading not too heavy or light, flavor not bad, but did not excite the taste buds. My boyfriend still had not received his entrée after I was well into my food. The hostess came by and asked if he had gotten his food and he said«not yet». She went to check and said it would be out shortly. More time went by and I was about finished eating and the waiter came by and said his food was coming. Maybe they hadn’t caught the fish and shrimp yet out in the boat… He finally got his food and I didn’t hear any complaints or compliments out of him… I sampled fries off his plate… real salty We wished it had been a Wednesday in lieu of Tuesday cos we noticed on the menu that Wednesday was free pie day… we could have gotten a free slice of pie with an entrée… oh well. We got an amicable goodbye upon exiting… Mediocre experience compared to their competitors Hooters and Wreckfish nearby…

This place sucks. My coworkers wanted to go here for lunch, and it was a bad decision. I ordered the bottomless soup and salad, so I had a choice of their overloaded potato soup or soup of the day, which was chicken harvest, and either their house salad or caesar. I ordered the chicken harvest and caesar, and while the salad was decent(even though it was overdressed in crappy mayo-based heavy ‘caesar’ dressing) the soup was super heavy and full of cream. I expected at least one of their soups to be broth-based, rather than cream-based, but I was wrong. I guess I should have asked. Anyway, the soup was oversalted(which is saying something, for me), had very little in the way of chicken or noodles, and had basically nothing in it besides diced carrots. Pretty lame. I didn’t finish the soup because it just wasn’t very good, so I kept trying to ask the server for more salad, given that it was a ‘bottomless’ dish. She never asked if I wanted a refill of anything, and every time I tried to get her attention, she’d abruptly turn her back and walk away. Oh, and $ 2.50 for a soda??? WTF? I definitely won’t be coming here again. If my coworkers decide this is their destination, I’ll head somewhere else.
