Worked out here in the summer(day pass) & came back during an October trip to Cape May. This time I got a two– day pass($ 20), which I considered the to be very reasonable. The gym has plenty of free weights, and all of the equipment that I like to use at the gym by my home. It is very clean, towels are provided & the clientele seems to exercise good«gym etiquette«. Friendly staff. Will keep coming back whenever I visit the area. Definitely recommend this gym.

I was briefly vacationing in Cape May and stopped in the gym for a work out. There potentially is some good things about the gym as it was not too crowded and there is enough equipment to work all body parts along with cardiovascular equipment, although the equipment is older and there is some mustiness or renovation that could occur. However, I would agree with another person who posted here that the gym is pricey, and I had a unfavorable experience, as I got there a little late in the evening and paid first for a guest pass. Unfortunately, I had to leave to get my work out gear and got delayed some so when I returned, I only had a 45 minute work out. I didn’t pay a great deal but it was a little frustrating as I paid almost the same amount that I pay a month at planet fitness. Obviously, Planet fitness is less and very affordable if your working while going to school, but the owner-manager Mark here(who I later spoke with) was going to give me a break the next day by having me return another day either complementary or at a reduced cost. However, this manager called me back and retracted his offer and also said that I worked out longer(so it was just an odd feeling, where he could have been more proactive as I was thinking of joining the club after I relocated to Cape May). I later called the club back to simply communicate that I didn’t want any thing more from him but that what he said wasn’t quite accurate and that I was thinking of joining after potentially moving to the area. This same manager cut me short and went on a bit of rant, which was very surprising. There are other probably well equipped and more friendly or accommodating gyms in the area, and I did learn of one later in the area where the manager and staff are much more courteous.

I took a CrossFit class with Chris while vacationing in Cape May. I’m so glad I went. The coach, Chris, was a great guy and the class kicked my butt. I will definitely go back next summer.

We come down to North Cape May on weekends, as its a great beach and vacation alternative to Cape May, which is pricey. We often work out at the health club, and have always had good experiences there. The staff is pretty friendly, the equipment all works and is clean. Never took any of the classes, so can’t comment. The music is not too loud or aggressive. The 10 visit pass is a very good price. Good value.

The best gym in the area! So clean and the staff is super friendly, unlike other gyms I had tried in the area. The group classes are the best, I highly recommend trying any of them! The equipment is always working and again, super clean. There are orientations on Saturday where they will give you a tour of the gym and how to use the machines! 5+++ stars!!!

I am so glad I found this fitness center while vacationing in Cape May. The facility is immaculate, the staff warm and helpful and the choice of equipment amazing. There is so much and such a variety of equipment(all working I might add) that there is no waiting even during the busy periods of the day. They offer daily and weekly memberships for the vacationer. 10 minutes from Washington Square by car.

Their equipment is constantly broken. I was told today they won’t get a new grip on one of the machines b/c it cost $ 140. I pay $ 37 a month per person(x2 for hubby) I think you get the grip. They concentrate more on free weights and have a limited amount of machines. It is also quite obvious they purchase their equipment from gyms going out of business because they have 4 different kinds of treadmills I leave there in the morning frustrated and not getting the work out I need. I voiced my issues to the owner and asked to get out of my 12 contract I had to sign to join and they told me I couldn’t. I’ve given it a 6 month try. He was very rude and not customer focused. He refuses to cancel our membership.

I like this facility and the people who run it. There is plenty of equipment, not only cardio machines but weights as well(machines, dumbells, barbells, body bars, etc). I also really like their regular group fitness classes, especially those taught by Nikki(she’ll really kick your butt!). However, I’m disappointed in the cost and effectiveness of the Crossfit and Bootcamp workouts. Both are over-hyped and expensive(especially Crossfit). When I go to the gym, I am there to workout — hard. After hearing a lot of hype about Crossfit, I paid a significant amount to try it.(Actually, intro courses are free, but I was under the impression that I would get more of a workout w/the regular class than the intro class — I was wrong). I was really disappointed. Yes, it is intense, but out of a one-hour class, you might get a 20-minute workout max; that wasn’t enough time for me to build up a sweat, and I was working at the max of my ability. The rest of the time is spent talking — about the moves, chatting in general, etc. One time, I went to a workout taught by one of the owners, and the actual workout was no more than 6 minutes. I was stunned. I felt like I had wasted my time and my money. I don’t care how intense that 6 minutes is, when you barely break a sweat, that’s not a good workout. It’s all about calories in/calories out, and there’s no way I burned enough calories in six minutes. I won’t be renewing my three-month CF membership. Overall, though, I would recommend this gym for its regular classes and other features.

They weren’t kidding when they said they have all the toys. Quiet enough to get a good work out, busy enough to have good music. Well worth the $ 20 for two day work out
